The night grew cold as the teenagers headed off to their separate rooms. All but two teenagers, who were sitting at the table, making a list. They also put a name next to each one, marking who will kill who based on their weapon and who is more likely to fight back. They knew they'd carefully had to hide it, that if anyone saw it, they would be turned in.
He wiggled a stone out of the floor, carefully hiding the murder plans beneath it.
"Sooo, do we have caretakers here or did someone get up and cook early this morning?"
"I think there are caretakers..."
"They left today."
Everyone's head turned to Dake, who realized it and stared back. He went wide-eyed and quickly looked down. Soon after breakfast, yet again the massive group separated, going their own way to explore. Sarafina herself decided to check out the foyer, big as it was, there had to be a hidden something there. She knocked on the walls, unable to hear a female slowly creeping up on her. She moved away without realizing what was going on.
She noticed how one of the lights off to the side looked a little out of place and she reached up, grabbing it and pulling it down to hear mechanisms moving behind that wall.
"Oh, that's epic! I have to show this to Uru later."
The girl behind her instantly became enraged. Seriously? Not her or Nala? Aren't they sisters too? She slowly and quietly followed her down a set of stairs, curling around themselves. It was difficult as the stairs were made of wrought iron. She had to only walk on her tip toes, as she heels would have clicked on the iron stairs. The floor at the bottom was stone, more tip-toeing. Sarafina was getting away and there was nothing she could do...unless.
She kicked the shoes off, being careful of the heels as she took off running, hoping to catch up and kill her. Sarafina thought she heard the sound of running steps and turned. When she realized she was only possibly hearing things, Sarafina turned back around at the wrong moment. Something jabbed into her belly, and her vision darkened. She hardly got a look at her attacker, falling to her knees on the floor, trying to hold the blood in her body but it was pouring out between her fingers.
Gurgling noises escaped from her lips, and a hand in her hair made her realize this wasn't over. Another pain erupted just under her breasts, blood spilling out between her lips. She heard the person move to stand behind her, then her head yanked back. She squeezed her eyes closed, not wanting to see who it was, not wanting to see the weapon. She prayed for everything holy that this would stop, that she'd have enough time to run for help. Tears slipped down her cheeks, chest heaving with breaths that were broken, feeling the knife in her throat.
She tried to scream, tried to warn others, hoping they could hear her but the person behind her pressed the knife in, drawing it to the left. Blood spurted out, choking and gurgling, Sarafina tried to cling, but slowly it seemed she fell to the ground, convulsing on the ground in a pool of blood until she drew her last ragged breath.
It wasn't enough, not long enough. Brandi was standing against the door, slipping her shoes back on while thinking, the bloody knife in her hand, thumb against her teeth. She wasn't satisfied. She pulled a bandana she bought at the gas station before they arrived out of her bra and wiped the knife clean. As she done so, she wondered how Dajan was doing with his first kill.
"Take a look at this."
Castiel backed up and peered into the room Dajan was peering in.
"See what I see?"
"Is this a fucking clinic of some sort? Where's the light?" Castiel started feeling along the wall while Dajan went in, doing the same.
He found it himself, knowing that if Castiel did, he'd turn it on and see the gun in his hand. He was able to move a painting to hide it, hoping Castiel wouldn't notice it off kilter. He moved away while the other used a flashlight app that was on his phone, looking around.
"Jesus, I think this was either a clinic or they used this place to purely store medicine."
"Definitely seems like it."
The redhead turned his back to read some labels of the old bottles, giving the other one to slowly pull his gun and cock it. He hoped the silencer would do its job as he took aim, and pulled the trigger. Castiel felt a sudden, stinging pain in his right shoulder, something hot spreading over his skin and shirt. He peeled his jacket off, put a hand on his shoulder, wincing as he peered to see what was going on, seeing a hole.
"What the....what the fuck!"
Something slick spilled over his hand, and Castiel removed it, looking at the blood that caked his left hand, and he whirled around.
"You bastard! You shot me! What the fuck is your goddamn problem!?"
He quickly tried to reload it before the other got to him, knowing a fight would ensue. How he would hide the body after this was beyond him, there had to be someplace he could stuff the body. Trying to keep his eyes on the quickly approaching murder victim and a place to hide, Dajan fumbled the gun and dropped it. Both stopped and stared at the other, trying to figure out who would move first. It seemed to take forever, but Castiel tried to get to it before the other, kicking it out of the way.
Dajan tackled him, knocking the other ones lover to the ground. Pain shot through Castiel's shoulder, making him curl a bit and grit his teeth with tears in his eyes. He glared up at the other one only to see him pulling a fist back with an enraged look on his face. Dajan let it go, hitting him hard as he could over and over again with Castiel struggling, landing in a few punches himself. Dajan scrambled away after the other started getting control, reaching for his gun.
He flipped onto his back after scrambling with it, actual fear taking over, knowing if he didn't kill him now, he'd go running, let everyone know, and when they put two and two together, he and Brandi would be separated. Just as Castiel got close enough, it went off, blowing his head to pieces. The now dead body of Castiel fell to the ground, brain matter and blood everywhere. Dajan picked a few pieces of skull fragment off his tank top and got up. There was no way he was moving that body without a massive mess, so instead, he locked the door, tucking the key into his pocket and moving on, wondering if Brandi was able to kill her stepsister.
"You better hope that door stays locked and no one notices the smell...."
"Didn't think of that. There may be items in there that can slow down the process."
"Embalming? You don't know a thing about that Dajan."
Dajan shrugged, knowing he'd probably board the room up.
"I'll have to do something. If not they'll smell it. But hammering will clearly tell them something is up...."
"Suppose....tonight we'll have to move him, there is electricity and those large freezers downstairs. We can hide one."
"How are you going to clean up that mess?!"
"I watch too many crime shows."
Showering off after moving his body was something else. Blood and brain matter coated the shower floor as Dajan, also showering, pushed it down the drain. He finished washing the shower, getting in with her entirely. His arms wrapped around her and he kissed her neck. The idea that one of them was gone aroused him.
He was that much closer to having her fully. Finally.
