Wow... what an imagination you have! This story, and it's predecessor, were extremely well written and enjoyable. I can only hope that you bother to give LOZ another chance with 'Twilight Princess' (Best game since OOT -- BETTER than OOT, and I do not say that lightly), and perhaps find some inspiration to write some more zelda stories.

    Great job!

...I think it was a good tale. You tied everythign together wonderfully. Ignore the flamers, they're stupid. Most of the Zelda games run off their own story lines--they're not really meant to be interconnected. Only in WindWaker does Link have a sister named Aryll, and in some of the other games its obvious they're made to be standalone scenarios.

Thank you for the wonderful entertainment!

I have read both "The Death of the Queen" and "Navi". Not only do I think that they were expertly writen, but I think that they do offer a great backstory to the game. The only criticism I have is that Ganondorf's personality seems to dramatically change between the stories. Just a thought. In any case, I think that this is definately one of the better stories here. Keep up the great work!

Oh, and to those who look to the other games and state that Link's father was a knight, I seriously doubt that the Link in this game is the same person. Keep in mind that in Ocarina of Time, Link spent his whole life in the forest, while in other games, he grew up just outside the castle. By the same token, Link often meets Zelda for the first time in many of the games. The only game released thus far which has the same backstory as "Ocarina of Time" is "Majora's Mask".

Perhaps I'm lucky that I never played the game and was able to simply enjoy the story as a standalone fantasy. I love your descriptions and writing style.

I had the opprotunity of being able to extract the dna from the two rpg characters, and the results indicated that yes, they were indeed closely related

"Yes, Link has a sister. Last time I checked Aryll is not spelled Z-E-L-D-A."

    1. OMG! They both have blue eye and blonde hair! That must mean that they're related! - Yes, because everyone with blonde hair and blue eyes is related.
    2. OMG! Link only has a mom! Zelda only has a dad! They must be related! - Following your logic, I'm my best friend's sibling and the sibling of millions of other people in the world. No. Plus, Link's father = knight, and yes, Nintendo has stated this. And the Queen couldn't be Link's mother. First, why would she run Link to the Kokiri Forest and leave Zelda behind? Why the hell would she run out into the middle of the battlefield anyway?

Okay, so everyone in the world that has the same hair and eye color, and (if paired together) are missing one opposite parent, are related. - ...Right.
