Love your story. It's really interesting! I wouldn't have even began to think of this concept, so you get some extra kudos for that. Damn, that just made me hungry.

I actually read the first chapter a couple of days ago, but I didn't review due to 'technical difficulties'. I just got my Internet back and low and behold, your story is updated. I was happy. ;3 And I thought this was an interesting twist, so I figured I should make up for my lack of previous review-age.

I can't wait to see how this turns out, so I'll keep an eye on it!

Also, gerry-person...character bashing? Can't you read what's going on? No one's bashing Vergil, it's just how the story is playing out. If bashing were going on here, the story would go, "Because Vergil sucks ass and no one liked him anyway." So yeah, wake up and read the text. :D

Solstice, I registered just to review your story. This is a very well written piece and I've read a few DMC stories on fanfiction.net, but I was never terribly enthralled with them. When it comes to fanfiction, the writing can be abysmal, but yours is the striking difference, amongst the swine. You seem to know your grammar well, although I wasn't exactly looking to nitpick for flaws anyway. The way you describe Dante and Vergil's duality is the strongest point besides the raunchy humor (the BJ scene is a brilliant touch, btw).

Like I told you earlier, I was going through a book I bought and it contained an Apocryphal book called "The Gospel of Philip". In it it goes on to say: "Light and Darkness, life and death, right and left, are brothers of one another. They are inseparable. Because of this neither are the good good, nor evil evil, nor is life life, nor death death. For this reason each one will dissolve into its earliest origin."

Just thought I'd throw that pearl of wisdom in there. It reminds me a lot of their relationship, as you point out. I like your third-person here as well. I'm a bit used to first-person when it comes to your writings, so this is a nice change of pace. Note also, I've only read the first chapter.

My favorite parts from Primal: "As some people emanated auras of pure sexual indifference, asexual tendencies even, Vergil's every gesture reeked of sex, despite his knowing it or not. Even as Dante screamed of promiscuity, Vergil, for whatever incredible strange reason, purely pumped with sex it seemed; like it coursed through his veins or something. Every movement, down to the grasp of his hand on Yamato's hilt, seemed an open invitation, his eyes glowering with promises of sadism and debauchery."

"How someone so cold, so withdrawn could burn you with a stare was completely beyond Lady's thinking. Yet in all the monster that he was to her, Dante loved him unconditionally. If demons were the opposite of angels, how was it that one could love so much more completely than any person she had ever known? All love, in her mind, was conditional of something. Unconditional love in the bible didn't cover homosexuality, didn't cover promiscuity, didn't cover angels that fell from heaven by choice."

That last line to me is the crux of this story. The rest just revolves from there. I wonder who will win the "fuck-machine" title? LOL.

Your writing is orgamsic. Great, great job. Can't wait to read more.

    Your's truly,

Xander (Yeah, I changed my name to sound more "cooler". Heh.)

Oh, so Vergy's a thing now? Great, just great. Well, I understand character-bashing, but you're taking it too far.
