Beautiful.
This is a truly beautiful ficlet. The poetry you were striving for is there, but it doesn't take away from the passion akuroku holds (or ought to hold) for everyone. The description of the difference between raced sex and what they had 'now' stuck in my mind. The way you described the fluttering of the hearts made me smile. The ending made my heart wrench.
Wonderful.
I shall now go pillage your account for other stories. :]
