ah! sorry for the double post of reviews, heh, but I read your story last night and it was so good that I had to stop and gather my thoughts in order to say everything that I actually wanted to get across!

first- wow, I cannot describe how this story just spun me around in circles. it was so cool! heh, it might just be becasue I'm Hordecore, but at first I had no idea what the hell the old man priest (so cool that the kaldorei never actually said his name too!) was, especially with the "taller than kaldorei" comment. with that I was just kinda like "... what the hell is this guy, a black-skinned troll?" but then came the stuff that made it *really* obvious he was a draenei and I was "oooh" *facepalm*

heh, that might not actually be that helpful, but I just wanted to share my experience. it just made the story that much more memorable :P

but, most of all, I dunno if I can describe just how hard I was hit by the combined revalations of first the priest's blindness, and then the rogue's inability to speak! the first was just one hell of an awesome hammer that hit me in the face, so much so that as their bond developed I was bouncing in my seat! like, it was already so cool that you're digging into the psychic abilities of this priest (something I've never seen any otehr author ever do) and then here he kind of relies on this silent rogue for comfort and reassurance and *gah!* so cool! and then, right at the end there, bam! another surprise! one that seems (in my mind) to totally change the dynamics of their relationship to imply that the rogue relies on the priest for a lot more than just his imployment/because he's a little odd in the head. in some ways, it suddenly seems like the priest is suddenly the one leading the relationship, serving as the connection between the rogue and the rest of the real world that everyone else moves though.

there's so much here that I just dig whole-heartedly! the little bits about the kaldorei being fascinated by the draenei's squid-face, the stuff about the tail and his personal comments and tohughts about what he gets fascinated by and, well, everything! you dig so deeply into his head that his quirks and oddness just *flow* into the reader like magic! I just wish that there was more with these two, they're so cool! this is definitely one of the most memorable pieces of fanfiction that I have ever read!
