Wow..that was awsome. I'm impressed by how well you weaved those two together, considering that while both are horror have completely different bases. Resident evil which is more scientific, and silent hill which is more supernatural. That was excellent though, I was completely enamored reading this. I like your style of writing, too. Very awsome, maybe update sometime? just throwing out there! hehe.

I have to say your plot is very interesting, though I was slightly dissapointed with the characters. SH4 is my favorite game and I love Leon to death, but your characters where so out of character it made the story painful. Though, despite being out of character I kind of liked the story. It was unique.

When I saw this I was deffinately amused for I have a REsident evil/ Silent hill crossover as well, just in the Silent Hill section of AFF.

I just suggest you revise some of it, for it could become a great story.

    Much love

I was not going to review this, since if I have nothing nice to say about a story, then why make the author feel worse about it. However, there was some interesting moments here. The begining was strong and made you want to read more, but one you kept reading, it kinda fell apart. I liked the fact this is a Silent Hill crossover, since that game series is another favorite of mine. I bounced ideas around in my head for a while when thinking about the plotline for Rare Side Effects, but abandoned the thought when I could not come up with a decent storyline to bridge the two together. As for the characters, Henry was a little OOC for me, since he seemed demure and confused throughout the events of SH4. Leon was OOC the instance when he stated he does not believe in the supernatural, which is a little amusing, since he survived zombies in RAccoon and mutant parasites in Publeo.

Plus his hair "is" blonde...just a dark blode, (almost brown--though it looked reddish brown in RE2) I mostly say wheat colored, gives the impression of blonde and brown. Anyway, that is only a tiny detail that bears no merit with me, it is just a personal preference with most people. The paragraph structure could use some continunity....it was a tad distracting to read with everyting centered. As for the plotline, I actually do not recall anything about the devil (like literally) in SH4...granted I played the game and actually really liked the different type of storyline, but the entire series deals with the ambigious theroy of other worlds and people that can either make them happen, or get sucked into them. It centered around a girl with unusal powers, that a cult from SH wanted to use to bring about "paradise" on earth. The creatures can be viewed as demons or mutations...whichever. But the term Demon is figurative, it can be interrpeted in a variety of ways. I remember walter sullivan being a child raised by that cult just like the previous girl, and he retained powers that they wanted to use. He was murderer, but I do not remember anything about him being the devil. I guess you can just tag your story AU, (alternate universe) to appease the nitpickers, they usually leave things alone when you do that. Otherwise, I will still read whatever you come up with, just maybe think about the characters and their personalities a little and try to keep them IC. (Or you can just tag your story OOC, so we will shut up.) Other than that, it was a nice read.

Nice idea, poor execution. Both characters act OOC and are presented in such a way that you really don't care what happens to them. Moreover Silent Hill is a horror but it is not a ghost or a devil story. If you decide to use a widely known setting please do some research first. And play the games (SH) - as it seems to me that you have only played the fourth and it is not the most representative of the series...

Interesting crossover... though the paragraph and dialogue structure was a little distracting.

Also, right off the bat, you got a detail wrong. Leon has brown hair, not blonde. I don't know why people keep making that mistake.

Other than that, it'll be interesting to see where you take this story.
