Just a faithful reader noticing that there hasn't been much updating with this story. Wanted to say that I still hunger for a new chapter of this enticing story. I hope that you can find time to get back to it and update and such! Here's wishing you luck!

Chapter 15! I was super excited to read it! I really like how you've developed the relationships between Raziel and his brothers. And I love how you're depicting the progression towards the pillars. Fantastic descriptions all around! =D
    Very hungry for more. ^_~

okay! so I went and thought about it some more (well, actually I got chips and then killed my little bro thirty times in CoD4 but I did SOME thinking) and now I got a lot more formulated in my head.

so like, I guess the easiest place to start is with Kain's smitage of little pooplings (that's what my roommate calls things that aren't with his attention. I thought it fit). haha, lawlz that made me cheer so hard! I LOVE smitage! such an excellent place to start the story.

and then- wow- Raz's resurrection. that was pretty rad. especially with all the comparisons to the first time, and how much was different now. it really sort of feels like... haha, well like their power boost makes sense, esepcially considering what they once were in life! I mean, like, all the other little fledglings are silly yeoman and mercs and farmgirls and what not. certainly not righteous battle-magi or lord-generals or anything. it really drives home the fact that like... haha, I guess the easiest way to think of it is that all the vampire generals have a whole bunch of XP from their old lives deposited in their new Vampire XP slots! so like, they already have a leg (and an claw/arm/wing) up on an other new vampire, along with the fact that their sire is... well, not-quite oldest vampire, but easily the most powerful!

so that totally rocks my world. haha, I just love translating mechanics! so many times authors can't keep things balanced right. they get all god-bent, or if not that they gloss over silly things like freaking res spells whenever a character dies, and offer no explanation at all or anytihng so it totally makes the plot into a joke instead of sometihng like "aww" or whatever. you know? haha, anyways. god that rocks my world. I always get so nervous too, what with Kain having ALL the pillars at his command (speaking of, if you're at all open-minded about their end, have them call new guardians! I LOVE the Circle and guardians! only if you're on the fence about whatever's in the future thought). but yeah, every time there's mention of it or he draws on their power I'm just like "yeeeeesh!" and I close my eyes and grit my teeth for fear that Kain's just going to like, I don't know, magic himself the most obvious solution in the world AND THEN NOT USE IT because THEN THERE WOULD BE NO STORY.

haha, my fears are totally unfounded though right? I can't help it though! I've been burned too many times, that's all. anyways. yeah. I'm digging the whole "Kain can't fully handle each pillar without devoting a lifetime to them" right now. or, at least, that's my impression of it. totally makes sense though. I love nice checks and balances.

now the vampire generals, that's interesting stuff too. mostly because... I suppose it's intriguing the way you're turning them out. their personalities too. Dumah isn't very bright, but a steady powerhouse. and ornery as hell. Zephon is a cunning rogue. Rahab is clever, but not necessarily cunning, not like Zephon, and Melchiah is... haha a kicked puppy I quess. And that Turel would be more or less the "leader" were it not for Raziel. that's like... interesting. I mean, how much analysis of how they ended up in the future came made its way into how they present themselves as fledglings? and, OMG, what evolutions are they going to show and when? and how will they be put to use in this uncorrupted timeline?

so many questions. so eager for more.

omg, Lunar, did you update this with NINE chapters at once? geez! I spent ALL NIGHT reading through them all! haha, all this stuff is brand new to me! why did you not share earlier? it was so fun! all this new stuff and all this new character interaction!

well, okay, to start with I guess that I gotta say -AGAIN- that it's so easy to put the voices to the characters. Every time Kain talks to the Elder God? Yeah. SPOT ON. The snide innuendo, the one-upmanship and the sheer arrogance of the giant squid- it all fits the Elder God so well! Haha, and I think my favorite part is how the characters will just casually say some gigantic word like it's nothing uncommon. god I love that. Vorador is especially good at that. he's such a perfectly cultured and decadent beastie!

I suppose next I'm gonna say that I'm glad Janos isn't gay for Vorador too. Or, at least, from what we've seen anyway. it always rubbed me the wrong way, ya know? it's just like "... he's a voracious, quasi-evil vampire living in a swamp. why would they be lovers?" it just doesn't fit!

but you know that's all personal taste and that crap. still, I was pleased. also, it makes it that much more fun to read about Vorador's knowing eye and stuff. haha, lawlz! also it makes it that much more all like, tense, for Kain, and reeeeally helps to play up the jealousy he feels whenever Janos interacts with Raz.

anyawys, this is just a note for the first couple chapters. I'ma add a couple more reviews once I've had more time to think!

Oh wow. I don't even know how to describe to you just how amazing this story is! As someone has mentioned before, I can easily picture this story with your great amount of detail. This could easily be the next game! The fact that you have the story beforehand down to the bone blows me away! I really hope that you will continue this story. I'm just itching to read more!

    Good Evening,

I spent my whole day reading this wonderful, epic story you wrote and now, all I have to say is: I have never ever been so convinced by a fanfiction in the damn history of 'ever'.
The way you manage to capture the characters is really amazing. Especially your version of Kain, I have never seen him so much and well IC in any other fic. And I mean 'seen' and not 'read', because your eloquent style really warped me in and I could see everything right before my eyes as if I was watching a movie.
I love this story as the best continuation of Defiance - really, I could very well imagine this to be THE next game! - and I would be so happy if you continue this (forever, pretty please? :-D) There's so much more I could write, but if I start now, I would never stop telling you how wonderful I think this story is ;-)

So, greetings from Germany and thank you so much for sharing this masterpiece! (...and excuse my bad english) :-)

This... was amazing! I'm so sorry it took me so long to read it, but now that I have I'm completely blown away! This is, by far, one of the best Legacy of Kain fanfictions I've ever read. You were so wonderful at keeping everyone in character, and the plot was just phenomenal! I absolutely tore through this story, and I loved every bit of it!

I hope the next books will be up soon! I can't wait to continue reading your work - it's so wonderful. This really feels like it could be an official expansion of the series. It makes me sad that you haven't gotten more reviews for it on this site, this story is so good! Thank you so much for sharing thsi with us!

Sheer awesome, I had actually intended to build something like this off of "in past regrets" eventually but got strted on too many other projects, this is absolutly wonderfull and you saved me the trouble... Maybe you should submit any pg 13 parts of the plot to edios so they have one less excuse not to make the next game^^
