I came on this site in search of NickXEllis fics and came across this one of yours. I must say it's beautifully written, and a nice take on the pairing. By the end of it though, I was in near tears! Especially with how you wrote the soldiers in the very end. It all left a bittersweet, sour taste in my mouth and I -wished- so much that they would have gotten out of it alive.

Simply astounding.

I really liked this fic, it was bittersweet. I have to say the end really felt out of place, kinda ruined the effect of Ellis and Nick reaching for each other's hands. Other than that last bit, it was really good story.
