woah, okay, wow! first off, let me say that I am VERY impressed by your attention to lore here, and melding the lore with the in-game mechanics! there were a lot of awesome little touches here and there, what with the excellent melding of in-game vernacular (like bubbleboy and rezzing and all that) with the actual events of the instances and story lore. that was a lot of fun! like I said, I was way leery at first, but this, heh, kind of like your chapters, just really started to come together. at the start it was kind of piecemeal, with sudden leaps and transitions that I didn't really get - like for instance why Ty was able to pull together a whole army from Silvermoon, why Nefarion was... haha, well, kind of a twit about poking a sleeping dog there, stuff like that! it was kind of out of the blue at times, but you crafted (and conveyed very well) an EXCELLENT backstory to bring everything together and really... I mean, honestly, this is one of the most well integrated stories in terms of character development, game mechanics, and game lore I have seen on this site in a long, loooooong time. ty very much for posting this!

in terms of critique if you're interested in comments on improvement (and I realize these may be MAD overdue yo, what with the list of other stories you've got written on your author page), I'd say my biggest struggle was getting a feel for Obito and Ty and... hmm, Vorant I guess (as the most prominent characters). I don't really understand a lot of their motivations - especially at times when that has a seemingly huge impact on the story. Why is Vorant so loyal? he, at least, knew the truth - did he not mention this to Amaya or anyone? or, for instance, you never see Obito go from seeing Vorant as a servant to suddenly "Blood Relation, specifically being son of the dead man my father is impersonating". it just seems like that would have been a big or significant factor in those places. why he reacts with anger when Romnanth and his father show up, why Amaya didn't shatter the amulet and confront Ty herself at that moment... it was just a little strange in terms of story flow.

that's not to say these are glaring flaws or anything! just if you're curious, those are the areas I'd say could use some smoothing over, if you're interested in changing anything here. in the later chapters that is mad covered, and makes perfect sense - well, wait, except for all the stuff about the parasites. that's never explained. but the other stuff is very well integrated and I have to also give you mad fucking props for that being the single best portrayal of any Kael'thas conspiracy realization amongst the blood elves that I have ever seen! that was REALLY GOOD. I wish that any of that had been conveyed in the games, instead of just crudely aped!

also, I'm sorry, but I am mad in love with your portrayal of Romnanth. easily my favorite character here - straight up "I'm the fucking Grand Magister, I do what I want" *sassy hand wave* going on there with him. so flippin rad! haha, I mean, not to say I didn't *dislike* anyone, but Romnanth just straight up pyroclasmed the god damned cake here so hard that I don't even see anyone else in the room.

well I just read the first two chapters here. I have to say I - I'm usually pretty leery whenever it comes to blood elf dudes as main characters because they're usually just soooooooooooo... "kawaii desu" and all that. it's just hard for me to stomach reading about them, but I have got to admit - so far I'm enjoying Obito and his father Ty. I kind of wish Obito got some more of his anger and hatred in against daddy there because it sounds like Ty is kind of a douche - and still is, at this point. I mean, your kid was kidnapped and tortured pretty much entirely because of you, following how you tossed him out on his ass because he, like you, is incredibly intractable (which that part is really amusing, btw).

right now I'm curious to see if you go deeper into Obito's personality and motivations, or maybe some more explanation for why he's got this urge to connect and reach out to his father all the time. good stuff though, gonna keep reading here.
