Reviews for Her Destiny Lies Elsewhere

Ah, the triumphant return of the author and the sore aftermath of the Rio.

Yeah, no matter how many people live, and likely have sex, in the Inquisition, there's something about being in charge, having the top room, and possibly the biggest lover that makes it a little more noticeable. At least she has a crack support team.

Bull continues to be a big sweetheart, I love how tender he is.

Knight-enchanter, huh? I went rift mage myself, if only because I was of the mind that I wanted to be nowhere near the center of battle. I had a hard enough time not getting hit. I'm still a bit curious as to her choice though.

Crestwood... Honestly probably the least notable area of the game for me. Swamps, zombies that never ended, one crazy guy so tucked away to took fifteen minutes of external collision to get into his nook, and the one nice guy among the little group of assholes you came there to deal with. "Don't go in the water" Yeah, that got old quick.

And as always, everyone around Rio seems to be giving her wonderful advice. Though, this time, there was an undertone of pride as she slowly but surely improves that warmed the heart.

Not too much to say about this one, actually. It was paced, sensual, sweet, with a splash of awkwardness for the screamer. : P Although I do wonder if there will be rumors now...

Well, not quite puppy love, but the giggling she does makes me have that happy tingle I get from things like that, so close enough.

You like my reviews that much? All I do is really share my thoughts after reading, but I'm glad you like them! ^^ For most stories I follow on various sites, I just occasionally leave a quick comment, but I thought you might like the longer stuff.

Where to start... ah yes, Dorian. Little scamp, isn't he? Despite the rather interesting way he sort of waltzed into the game, after five minute with the guy I couldn't help but like him ever since. Strangely, I think he was the first one who I completed approval and bonding with. In this iteration of the tale though, I very much appreciate his role. Those people like him and Varric who watch more than anyone knows, yet where Varric pulls background strings to alter the situation, Dorian pulls the foreground ones of the characters.

Bull... never romanced him in my playthrough, preference really, but if I make a female character he's definitely on the top of the consideration list. Him and Cullen. Anyway, I actually looked up his scenes a while back and that line... that line made me pause the video, put my head in my hands and laugh I don't know how loud. The guy is a trip! Very up front though, so at least there's no riddles. He's got a big ol' heart in that big ol' chest. I wonder if he's a cuddler... or if you'll pull something similar to a particular aftermath scene I also found of them... Josephine's face is priceless.

Ah, off track again. On to Rio... sweet kitten she is. I'm with Dorian on this: getting with Bull will be good for her. The key to open the sturdy yet fragile locket of her heart, and the hand to help hold it. I'm curious how she'll do with Orlesian style dancing, but I have high hopes. On a lighter note, I find it funny to imagine her elvish ears moving, folding, perking and such in response to her emotions. The mental image is just cute to me.

I believe that's all for now, but as usual, I look forward to the next installment of your delightful story.

I'll admit, this was the point in the game where I stopped, put the controller down, and really debated. In the end, I went with the chargers. At first the way Bull's card changed to a dark depressing one had me worried, but he seemed happier. After playing through the rest and of course having him on a couple dragon hunts, I was sure he was fine and I had made the right choice for both our hearts.

Cow eyes, hmm? Rio certainly doesn't seem opposed to calves... I'm curious if that's possible, purely biologically, I mean. I think so, but then again, I'm a romantic so I'm biased.

And of course we had a tender scene with Cole... he's a sweetheart, he is. That friend you can talk to and hug if you need to.

No complaints from me, I love filler if it's sort of slice of life stuff. She dances hmm? I wonder how she'll do at the ball... or if she'll convince Bull to dance with her.

She torched his superman curl? Pfft! That put a smile on my face!

Drugged-up Rio demands world building. : P To be fair, I was confused about Krem for the longest time. I initially suspected he was just a masculine woman, no one ever broguht it up so I put it out of my mind and just called him his preferred gender, then eventually it came out. I was just like "Oh... so I was right. Huh..." Strange how such things become just another curiosity after long enough.

Skyhold was always wonderful to me... although the next 2 hours or more of the game was then me talking to absolutely everyone in it and getting lost way more than once because almost every path connects and yet there seems to only be one that goes where you want to. (loved the dibs moment.)

Solas... I have to say, he maintained the label of most mysterious person from beginning to end for me. I missed him when playing the DLC.

Sorry, feeling chatty right now. Let's see what Rio's first day here is like... I wonder if they'll make her pick the decor...

I wonder if Kaaras and Schmooples would get along... Either way they both seem to help their owners be happy, and alive. If she was messed up after thing time travel thing, I wonder what this will do to her... I guess I'll find out. Now to ponder how protective Bull will be.

Oh dear... Rhys looked like Cole as well as Red Templar stuff? No relaxing ever for her. I loved the Nugalope scene, that's my favorite mount in the game, I love the ears. And then there's Johnny... and everyone wishes there wasn't. (dun dun dun)

Ah yes, when I played the game this was the first big point that hammered it home for me. Just a bit of in your face apocalypse. I'm curious how she'll deal with her injuries and memories in the coming time, but it seems she'll have help when she needs it. Also, I love her attitude when getting back. "I just saw the end of the world, stop bitching at me." Completely justified.
