This story is absolutely wonderful. This is the greatest Metroid romance I've ever read. He truly captures Samus and Ridley just how I would see them being. Very few stories really impress me as much as this one did. I would very much like to see a second chapter.

Gawd...I was expecting something dark and thrilling, and this was the height of shmaltz. Granted, exely ely well-written shmaltz, but shmaltz nonetheless. I'm just the wrong audience for this sorta thing.
