I really liked this story. I normally don't read angst, but I kind of figured that this wasn't going to be as hardcore as a lot of the stuff that's out there... Not to say you didn't do a good job! I really felt Riku's heart breaking, but the light at the end of the tunnel, the fact that they'll always be friends... That was touching. I was sad to see Sora having a crush on Kairi, but, you know, I suppose it is canon and all! ^_^

Only real minor stuffs with grammar. I think you forgot an "into" when mentioning that Sora's hair would sometimes fall into/cover his eyes.
Other than that, not a bad opening drabble.
