I really, really like your story.
I am not a fan of Merrill and Hawke (generally speaking) but you bring a plethora of savors to your story. The third chapter did it for me. The fact that Hawke is trying to be loyal, that she is doing what she is doing for Merrill, but she gets tangled in a web she can't help but find arousing, it's great. I like it that the antagonist insults and demeans Merrill, but Hawke can't really do anything, since the womanis so powerful and high regarded in the city.
I expect a lot of chapters involving these things in the future! It's one of the best qualities of your story and your story is one of the few like this! Also... any Leiliana or Isabella coming down the road?
