Well, let me start by saying, I'm not at all new to yaoi, and I have enjoyed the Tales of Symphonia game for quite some time, but it never, ever occurred to me to look for any type of fanfiction related to it. I was hesitant to even start, and only after lengthy consideration, started browsing.
And this, this lovely, beautiful gem of yours was the first ToS fanfiction I have read. And it was amazing. It met and exceeded all expectations. Seriously.
Before looking I briefly considered what type of relationships I'd even be interested in reading about, and honestly, Lloyd/Zelos was way in the back of my mind. I think after reading this, it is now my favorite pairing. Oh, god, thank you for opening my eyes to the possibilities of this relationship.
I must admit though, as happy as I am, I am also a little sad. I am happy this well-written, fantastic work of literature was the first for me to read and prompted me to continue opening this ToS fanfiction door, but also a little sad because it has now set my bar of expectations a little high, and I'm afraid nothing else will ever compare. This will not stop me from walking through that door, though. You should take it as a compliment. =)
