I kinda love this - the idea that there is a larger conspiracy at work ties into the overall Tomb Raider narrative, and adds a sense of weight to an already incredible story. Working Joan in is an inspired touch, and I love the idea of the bad guys literally going against God and trying to claim divinity for themselves in the most horrible way possible. The writing, as always, is excellent. Can't wait to see this tie into the larger plot.
