  The forest always seemed as if a thick, green mist enveloped it. It was more than the green of the
  heavy canopy above his head or the soft, velvety moss that crept up the thick tree trunks. The
  whole place was a living, breathing thing capable of great violence underneath its sleepy green

  A phantom pain stabbed at the now filled eye socket. The new eye wasn't alive. It was
  mechanical, better than the old living eye before it. However, this place sensed that it wasn't real

  He wouldn't have enough time to bring aim or fire an arrow here. So he depended on the blade.
  Even though it wasn't his weapon of choice. The longbow was nestled within the thick folds of

  The Keepers had always found his natural affinity for the longbow a bit strange. They preferred
  the shorter bows themselves. They did let their foundling child, their "Savior", practice with the
  elegant weapon though as well as teaching him the art of stealth.

  
  
  
  
  
  

  He smirked as he remembered their shock to learn that he had become a thief and used the skills
