Wow, yet another short drabble. Still working on the start of my Akuroku series (Yes, I do yaoi too. Yay for diversity?!) but I should have the first chapter to that out soon. Until then, enjoy a third drabble! (I totally support both Akuroku and RokuNam with all my heart!) xXx The waves crashed in a muffled burst of peace along the soft, powdery sand. The sun had long since set, the stars beginning to appear in the dark, luster sky. The silence almost scared Roxas, and his setting made him believe he was the only one in existence. He sat in the sand, his knees pulled to his chest, his elbows on his knees, and his head in his hands. How long had he been sitting here? Was this some sort of afterlife? Was this looking through Sora's eyes? Roxas felt as if he was seconds away from tears, sobs, outbursts of anger; multiple emotions coursed through his body too quickly for him to grasp. Wait, emotions? Does this mean? Roxas snapped his head up in shock, his eyes widening. Emotions; real, true emotions. The boy swore he was going mad as he burst into giddy laughter. It was swallowed, however, by the soft, sweet laugh of another. Roxas suddenly looked to his left, towards the intoxicating sound: Namine. She'd been smiling upon him, sitting peacefully, her legs bent at the knee, feet resting just to the side of her. She was in her usual white dress, looking more calm and collected than usual. “N-Namine? ...I assume you-” “Know where we are? No. ” The girl interrupted him, knowing what he was to say, but shaking her head disappointingly. “But I was washed with the same giddy feeling you were when I arrived here. I'm not quite sure if this is a state of mind; perhaps after we joined with our others, or maybe this is some form of afterlife. ” Smiling oh so softly, she looked up at him – from the slight height difference – and slowly brought up her first finger to press against her nude lips, to silence him as he opened his mouth to ask more questions. “I think for once, though, Roxas, we just accept. This place is heavenly. I've never felt so whole in my nonexistent life. You're always so full of questions that demand answers, but I don't really want to know right now, do you?” Roxas opened and closed his mouth a couple times, not really knowing what to say. It was fact that his did, indeed, like to know things, but she was right, why question something so peaceful? The boy watched carefully as the blonde girl turned her attention back to something she was holding: a seashell. Gently, she brushed her hair back behind her ear, all of her light locks swept to one shoulder as usual. The sight of her looking so... angelic was enough to shut Roxas up for the time being. There really was no point in stirring up worries. Slowly, ever so slowly, Roxas leaned in, closing the gap between the two, taking Namine's chin in between his first finger and his thumb and pressing his lips to hers in a chaste, innocent kiss, which caused the girl's eyes to slide closed, followed suit by Roxas'. It was short and sweet, ending quickly. When Namine opened her mouth to question Roxas, the boy simply brought his first finger to his own lips, silencing her. “I think for once, Namine, we should just accept.” xXx The only thing that inspired this was a song, actually. Bound to You- Christina Aguilera. It's quite random, but a very moving song, and I'd much prefer you listen to it, because to me, it seems to go along with this little drabble. I love Roxas x Namine personally, but I also do yaoi, so check me out! Reviews are very appreciated!- 1
