Just some weirdness that has been floating around in my head. Sort of a 'what if' kind of thing.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* The air was still as the rogue watched his target. The night elf he had been sent to dispose of had been causing quite a stir in Stormwind. Foolish notions of peace between the Alliance and the Horde. 'Such a fool. Peace? Yeah right...' Monk rolled his eyes as the thought crossed his mind. If people didn't upset each other and fight, then he'd be out of a job. 'What can one expect from a druid though?' He sneered. Monk was definitely not a fan of the tree huggers. He continued to watch as the man played with his young daughter. Such a cute little thing. Adorable really, such a shame she had to die as well. 'No survivors, no witnesses.' That was his code. Less questions arose when there was no one left to answer them. With that in mind, the rogue smirked and quietly headed around to the back of the small house. Killing was not only what he was best at, but what he enjoyed. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* The lean form of the shadow hunter was crouched as he quietly stalked the deer. He needed this vacation of sorts, even if it wasn't exactly voluntary. Garrosh be damned, he was the leader of the Darkspear trolls for crying out loud! There was no reason he needed to be on a scouting mission in Darkshire of all places. There were other, better suited people for the job. What exactly was he suppose to find, anyway? Vol'jin sighed quietly. Best not to look a gift raptor in the mouth. He needed to get away from Garrosh as much as Garrosh needed time away from him. The deer raised it's head and Vol'jin was brought back to his task at hand. Dinner. Two large, blue fingers curled around the bowstring as he pulled back and aimed. The deer bolted as a blood curdling scream resounded through the small valley. Vol'jin was on high alery as he whirled around and faced the direction the scream came from. Without a second thought, he was running, as fast as his long legs would carry him. It didn't take him long to find the small home in the clearing. The grass stained red. The bodies of two night elves lay only feet apart. 'Mates....' He thought. The male's arm outstretched toward the still body of, what Vol'jin could only assume, was his mate. Rustling and muttered curses alerted him to the rogue's presence long before he saw him. Vol'jin crouched down again and stepped back into the security of the trees. It'd be much harder to see him that way unless one was looking specifically. Guessing from the fact that the rogue wasn't exactly being quiet, he figured he wouldn't be spotted. There he was, the rogue. Vol'jin watched the short, black haired human as he padded around the yard. Was he admiring his handy work or looking for something? 'Not dat it matta to me.' Vol'jin scoffed as he drew his bow back again. "Aha! Found you!" The rogue exclaimed as he reached down. Vol'jin watched as the rogue drug a small night elf girl from a hole near a pile of wood. "I've been looking all over for you, my dear." The man cooed to the child. Vol'jin aimed. "Don't worry, this won't hurt a bit. I promise." The rogue purred, raising his dagger over the girl's head. Vol'jin exhaled and released. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Monk looked down, eyes wide. Where the hell had the arrow come from?! He turned, facing the direction the arrow had originated and squinted. 'THERE!' Standing in the shadows of the trees was a tall, blue troll with a blazing red mohawk. How had he not noticed the troll's presence before now? Was he losing his touch? 'If I am missing such large details, perhaps it is time for me to retire.' Monk smirked as he fell to his knees, the shadow hunter's arrow protruding from his chest. Yes, retirement sounded good. He was long past due for a nice, long vacation anyway. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Vol'jin cautiously approached the lifeless body of t6he rogue. Tricky bastards those rogues, make you think they're dead only to spring up and stab you in the chest. He nudged the rogue's boot with his toe. Yup, definitely dead. Vol'jin sighed and relaxed, shoulders slumping. A whimper drew his attention to the small form huddled by the wood pile. The child was quaking with fear. Vol'jin watched her for a few seconds before kneeling down in the grass and setting his bow down. She eyed him warily, lip trembling. He pointed at his chest, "Vol'jin." he stated clearly, hoping she would understand. "I won't hurt'chu leetle one." That said, he stretched his arm toward her and offered his hand, palm up. The girl seemed to consider it, looking back and forth between Vol'jin's hand and the rogue's body. Finally, she relaxed a little and placed her tiny hand in his. He smiled, curling his large, blue fingers around her whole hand and gently pulling her to him. The girl stood slowly, watching the dead rogue as if she expected him to jump up and finish the job. She cautiously stepped over his legs before throwing herself against Vol'jin's chest, sobbing. He wrapped his large arms around her, whispering reassurances that she was safe. When she finally wound down to sniffles, he relaxed and felt her pushing on his chest softly. Leaning back, he looked down at her tear stained face and smiled. She just pointed to herself and quietly stated, "Chiya."While AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
