Hypnosis
This was absolutely frustrating; at this rate she wasn’t going to get a single bit of sleep. Kairi turned over to face the clock on the nightstand for the billionth time that night only to be reminded by the large, red led numbers that it was 2:33 in the morning and dawn would soon be approaching. It wasn’t like she had anything drastically important the next day but, she loved the morning, hated sleeping in, and was known for not being lazy.
When the taunting numbers on the clock read 4:30 and there was still no hope in getting any kind of sleep in the near future, Kairi decided that maybe a walk might help. So she donned a pink skirt and traded the long nightshirt that she wore for a tank top. It was in the middle of summer so the air outside would still be warm even in the early hours of the morning.
It seemed like everyone was asleep still and it was nice to go to the shore by herself and listen to the sound of the ocean and feel the nice breeze that was blowing. That’s when a certain spot on the horizon caught her attention. The island, the one they used to spend so much time on before… well…that … happened. The cataclysm, the war between light and dark, whatever you wanted to call it. It was all in the past now and they could put it all behind them but, no matter how much you can say that they’re lives had now returned to the peaceful ones they once were, for some reason it seems like Riku still struggles with the darkness. Though he was freed from the dark realm, Mickey warned that it can still call him back and he would be ever more susceptible to their sirenous song that would promise him even more power than the first time and everything he could ever want.
Because of the dreadful reminder of the past the visits to that island have been getting fewer and fewer as time goes on she was afraid that they would become not at all anymore. She stared at the island for a while admiring the way it looked with the moonlight shining down on it almost begging her forget the past take a stroll on its beach, to feel nostalgic, and not be plagued by things that can’t be changed.
She found her old boat still tied to the dock where it had always been, like it was waiting for her this whole time since the last time she paddled over to the island. Kairi steadied herself while she got in, since the sky was starting to lighten up with the first signs of daylight it was harder to see than if it was in the middle of the day. Her butt dropped down in the seat with a plunk and a sway from the boat. The oar was laying in the floor of the boat and it was soon in the water helping make the short journey across the water to the other dock. Once it was secured there she took a look around at the island, nothing had changed since the last time she had been here so there wasn’t that much to look at.
As she passed under the bridge that lead to the paopu tree, she stared up at that place the three of them would spend the end of their days watching the sun go down. It looked so beautiful with the moon and the stars casting shadows over it.
She could have jumped and pulled herself up as effortlessly as Sora does but, she preferred to take the long way around up the stairs and through the door and then across the bridge before settling down on the large tree to stare up at the sky and wait for the first hints of drowsiness to start easing into her mind. Yep, just stare at the sky and the water and that would surely do the trick. If not that humming noise would be sure to lull her. Wait humming noise? No matter it was soothing her into a kind of trance so that wasn’t all bad. Maybe she should try to find the source of the noise. Eh, never mind if it wasn’t harming her no need to do any investigating. Just staring at the stars and letting herself tune out any distracting thoughts.

Before long all she heard and could think about was this strange noise that came out of nowhere but it was nice but, it was doing a nice job in letting her relax. The noise told her there was nothing to worry about and that she shouldn’t think about the wetness on her fingers. Wait how can a noise tell me things and what about my fingers? “I’m fine Riku now can you let me get dressed, I have no idea why I’m even naked this is so unlike me”

“Shut up Riku this is not funny and speaking of Sora do you know what he would think if he saw this? He would think we had sex!” She started to climb the ladder to go retrieve her clothes so they can start pretending like this is not happening.

At this point He could not control his laughter while Kairi stared at him from the top of the ladder with one eyebrow raised like she was wondering if she had missed something. A voice in his head sang ‘if only you knew Kairi if only you knew’.

So guys how did you like my first adult fanfiction? I’ve got a few alternate endings I’m going to work on. There was a lot of ways I could have ended this but I chose this one and it was a hard choice so I will get started on that. Lengthy constructive criticism is welcome, especially if it’s any way I could have improved this story.
