Well this is another MMX fan fiction I hope you like it and for the record if you see (rrrr) in the character dialog then that means that the characters are thinking.
The streets of Abel City were on fire as innocent human & reploids desperately tried to get out of the way of a crazed giant scorpion like Mechaniloid rampaged through the city trying to escape its pursuers. Maverick Hunter Mega Man X leader of the 17th Elite Unit, Zero Omega leader of the Special 0 Unit (Shinobi) and Axl a new hunter however his skills and shape shifter abilities rose him through the ranks quickly and put in the same rank as X & Zero. All three were in hot pursuit on top of their hover bikes known as Adion
* Axl: okay we’ve been chasing this thing all over the city anybody have any ideas. Groaned Axl
* X: I’m thinking beside you heard Signas we can’t risk attacking head on too many civilians around which means no shooting back.
* Zero: damn this is getting old.
Suddenly the stinger laser began to randomly blast buildings causing debris to fall towards helpless people breaking off pursuit X & Axl used their weapons to destroy as much of the falling debris as they could while Zero continued the Chase.
* Zero: X Axl I’ll keep chasing after that creep ok
* X: fine we’ll catch up in a second
* Axl: Good luck Zero!!!
Zero had made it to the Abel City highways when he realized that he had lost visual the thought of letting a maverick get away made him angry with no other option he called back to HQ.
* Zero: this is commander Zero Omega leader of the Special 0 Unit Hunter Base do you read!?
* Iris: loud & clear Zero what’s happening?
* Zero: that giant Mechaniloid caused an accident & X & Axl had to break off to help, I kept in pursuit but I lost it I know it couldn’t have gotten far I need you to scan my location & find it.
* Iris: Give me a sec.
* Zero Whoa!!!!!
* Iris: ZERO!!! What’s wrong did you find the Mechaniloid!?
* Zero: Worse it found me!!!!!
Zero began vigorously swerving left & right trying to avoid the scorpion’s laser fire as well as his pincers as he was now being chased by the Mechaniloid.
* Zero: Damn it!!!! How did that bastard get behind without me noticing!?
* Iris: he must have so sort of cloaking ability
* Zero: maybe I have to end this soon this highway is sending us right into another crowded part of able city!!!
* Iris: Zero I just got word From X, he & Axl are on the way & will be there soon
* Zero: not soon enough!!! (there got to be a) I have an idea.
* Iris: what is it!?
* Zero: I need you to take control of my bike.
* Iris: what for?
* Zero: no time just trust me it will work.
* Iris: ok…… it’s done zero I’m in control now what?
* Zero: just leave the rest to me Iris. He said with a grin
Zero spun himself around on top of his bike crouching down waiting to make the right time to make his move. His eyes began to scan every part of the scorpions’ armor looking for weak points; once his was finished he had everything he needed to stop it.
* Zero: alright… NOW!!!!!!
Zero leaped off his bike into the air toward the Mechaniloid with great speed seeing this the Mechaniloid began firing it’s laser but Zero quickly brought out signature weapon the Z-Saber using easily deflect the lasers as he landed. The moment he landed, zero quickly dashed to the base of the laser tail & with one swing of his saber he easily cleaved off the tail eliminating its only weapon. Knowing that it was still a threat Zero raised his right hand & called out.
* Zero: Electro Boomer!!!
Suddenly a ball like bomb with a symbol that said lightning appeared in his hand with one quick twist he threw it into the hole made when he cut off its tail & braced himself for what happened next. The electro boomer went off sending an elector shock that quickly disable the hydraulics controlled the legs causing it to fall to the ground.
* Zero: the target is neutralized Iris you can bring my bike back around.
* Iris: Rodger
* X: hey Zero!!!
* Zero: Huh X…Axl… he said as he looked behind himself.
Zero watched as his partners finally caught up to him. He began to sigh as he jumped down to greet them.
* Axl: aw man you already took this down!!! Pouted Axl
* Zero: sorry Ax but you guys should have been faster.
* X: be that as it may let’s break this thing opened & arrest this Maverick.
* Zero: don’t bother the bastard’s not there. He said with a low growl
* X: what? What do you mean?
* Zero: let me explain from the time I left you guys I lost visual briefly then suddenly it appear again behind me. That would be enough time for whoever it was to set this thing on auto pilot & escape.
* Axl: what made you believe this?
* Zero the way it shot at me.
* X: the way it shot at you!?
* Zero: yes back when we chased through the city it’s firing accuracy was better when I reach the highway I noticed something was off it was only pretending to try & hit me, it was nothing more than a giant distraction to keep me busy while the real culprit got away.
* Axl: Nice deductive skills Z
* Zero: Thanks
* X: well the recovery squad will be here in a second to confiscate this thing let’s get back to HQ & inform Signas about what’s happened.
* Zero: let’s. He said as he hopped onto his bike & began to race off with X & Axl.
15min later
After finally making it back to HQ X Zero & Axl gave a full briefing about the outcome of their mission to commander Signas which he quickly commented on.
* Signas: overall despite the fact we lost the Maverick I feel you all did well. X & Axl thanks to both of you no one was hurt by the falling & there are no casualties
* X: Thank you Sir.
* Axl: Thank you Sir.
* Signas: Zero I also feel you made the right choice in disabling the    Mechaniloid as it was your main priority.
* Zero: Thank you Sir.
* Signas: I’ve informed Douglas to begin examining to Mechaniloid if any information is obtained I will summon you for your next assignment but until then dismissed
* X.Z.A: SIR YES SIR!!!! They replied as they salute their commander before he left.
The moment Signas left the three hunters watched as their armor began to glow brightly until suddenly their armors disappeared along with their weapons leaving only clothes they wore that morning before their mission started. X was wearing blue & light blue shirts along with matching jean & a pair of shoes that also match. Zero was wearing a red T-shirt that had his signature Z on the back, black jeans & black sneakers. While Axl was only wearing a black tank top with black shorts and sandals. As they walk out of the command room they were instantly greeted by two of their navigators Marty & Cinnamon
* Cin: great work guys
* Zero: thanks hey where’s Iris?
* Marty: she left before you got back & I think she said something about finishing some work.
* Zero: I see.
* Marty: nice work X. she said as she blushed.
* X: are you feeling ok your looking a little red.
* Marty: I’m fine, so what are your plans now.
* Axl: I’m going to the mess hall I missed breakfast.
* X: I’m going to help Douglas with the investigation
* Zero: I’m going to go relax in the onsen.
* Marty: X do you mind if I come with you

   As everyone watch X & Marty walk off they began sigh for X as they were all thinking the same thing.

* Axl: right…well see ya Zero he yelled as he race off
* Cin: hey wait up Axl she yelled as she ran after him.
* Zero: Kids. He growled as he watches them run off.
   Zero headed straight the locker room that lead to the onsen pulling out a red towel before heading to the onsen .
* Zero: time for a little stress relief… he said as he headed for the onsen
Zero was one of two reploids who uses the onsen iris being the other, it was given to the hunters as a gift to help relieve stress but no one else even X & Axl saw any use for it seeing it only as just hot water. Zero & Iris on the other hand did find it useful especially Zero who use lot for different reasons, such as after a mission, spending time alone with iris or to help him sort his mind out when he has a nightmare. Entering the onsen which was crafted into an outdoor hot spring bath as the walls & the ceiling projected a realistic image of an outdoor scenery, quickly removing his clothes Zero instantly stepped into the pool in with only a towel wrapped around his waist. As he sat himself down in the water that reached his a little below his shoulders Zero could feel his body relaxing because he spends a lot of time here it doesn’t take him long to get use to the hot water.
* Zero: I really needed this after that mission…he said
15 minutes later
Zero’s mind was wrapped around when he took down that Mechaniloid despite the fact that he stopped it & was commended for it he still felt like he still failed because the maverick got away.
* Zero: I should looked for that bastard He grunted
* Iris: you should not beat yourself up about that hon…

Marty Both Marty & Iris watched as Zero raced off to meet the others for their mission Marty was surprise by Zero’s sudden cheerful attitude.

* Iris: just have to know the right approach. She giggled leaving Marty confused
