Sins of the Dovahkiin Since the first Dragonborn, Talos himself, mortals and gods have expected too much of Emperors. They forgot that they were men as well, that they were flawed and that some of they could easily succumb to earthly pleasures. There hasn't been a known Dragonborn since the end of the third age with the death of Martin Septim, his sacrifice was surely inspiring but after him there was only a decaying Empire. Now Mer rule Men and Talos is about to be scrapped from history. The time has come again. Men are flawed, but so are all the other races. Nevertheless, a Nord had been chosen and the pieces are moving. She didn't have the choice and she didn't have the knowledge that there was something different in her, she would have live and die completely ignorant of her ability if Alduin had not risen again. Power brings corruption and corruption will bring her doom. "When misrule takes its place at the eight corners of the world When the Brass Tower walks and Time is reshaped When the thrice-blessed fail and the Red Tower trembles When the Dragonborn Ruler loses his throne, and the White Tower falls When the Snow Tower lies sundered, kingless, bleeding The World-Eater wakes, and the Wheel turns upon the Last Dragonborn." -S- "Guard! Guard! Please, please help me! My parents disappeared… my house is burnt…" A trembling young woman could be seen outside the Nord's Tap and Tack, she was covered in furs and her face was barely visible, the guard recognized her immediately though. "Oh, Beatrix… You're back from that Fighter's Guild mission already…" The Imperial said this with a heavy tone, but the fact that he completely ignored her words made Beatrix grow even more impatient. She knew that something was definitely wrong and it was scaring her. "I don't think you understand! My parents! Gone! There was blood on floor, as well. I need your help." Her voice was trembling as well, Beatrix made an effort to remain calm, precise and firm, but she was losing it and the terror of losing her family was slowly engulfing her. "Beatrix… please, not so loud…" The guard whispered. "I need you to listen to me, can you do that?" He asked while taking her to the side of the road, her bright grey eyes looked up to him. She was feeling very frightened and confused and his reaction didn't help her for Beatrix knew that the way he was acting wasn't part of the Guard's normal procedure. "Four Thalmor agents were here… It turned out that your parents, as you probably know, still worshipped Talos… I am very sorry, Beatrix." The guard muttered, putting his hand on her shoulder. Beatrix's expression suddenly went stiff; her eyes were big and fixed on the guard. She opened her mouth like she was going to speak, but Beatrix was too in shock to say anything. A tear rolled off her right cheek. "It does not end here." The guard added. "They are looking after you as well, they will come back tomorrow and a few guards are willing to take you under custody and deliver you to the Thalmor – not me though. You have to get out of here. Never to return, understood?" He explained, hoping that this wouldn't be too quick for someone who was in shock. "My parents… why? Where are they?" She muttered, still digesting the Guard's words. "Beatrix, listen to me. You have to understand that you need to leave." The guard repeated. "You need to leave now; my advice would be for you to cross the border and go to Skyrim. There are Thalmor agents there, but their influence isn't nearly as big as in the Empire. Start over. You have to leave. Now." He explained and began to walk to the gate, dragging her with him. "By the Divines…" Beatrix seemed to be slowly regaining her conscience. "By the Divines, you're right, I do need to leave. Oh, why…" she lamented and wiped off the tears that were forming again in her eyes. The gate opened and soon she found herself outside the wall without anyone noticing. "I will be forever in your debt. Thank you very much." Beatrix turned to the guard one last time. "May Talos guide you, my friend." And the Nord disappeared in the darkness that surrounded the Jerall Mountains.
