Blaze the Cat walked amongst the forest floor, small flames driving from her hands to get rid of the dampness from the incessant rain that just would not stop driving her mad. It didn't help that her head was pounding, in much the same way as when she went to the other world, to Sonic's world.
But there was no Cream here to help her. Instead all she found was a forest, a temple, and a rainstorm that would not let up. And her own flame powers were slowly starting to struggle. As strong and powerful as she was, even she couldn't beat the rain for long.
She came across a small ladder, heading far up towards the cliffside. It would bring her into the rain...but it might also lead to some shelter. How she wished for the Sol Emeralds now! But they were stuck back in her world, being taken care of by the spare guardians that showed up whenever she couldn't be there.
She had been surprised to see Eggman Nega at all, considering the last time she'd seen him he was running for his life from her and Sonic. She knew it couldn't have been him, but she chased him anyways, only for him to disappear from another portal.
She followed him, and that was a stupid decision. Which led her to now, walking in the rain, her shoes slipping in the mud, and her fire powers on the fritz from the constantly downpour. Whatever happened now...well, cats hated water for a reason.
She growled as her shoes slipped off, stuck in the mud. She hated walking barefoot...but it was infinitely better than walking around in wet socks. Sighing, she took off her socks, and tried with half a heart to get her shoes out of the mud. She bent down, her tail swishing back and forth in irritation, and every yank she tried only pushed them in deeper. The ground must've been really wet for a long time for it to do that.
Grudgingly she gave up and trudged up the ladder. It shook from side to side with the wind, but it seemed sturdy enough. She tried to get an ember of fire going to prevent from getting totally soaked, but that failed within moments. "Grr..." she let out, realizing she was only halfway up the ladder.
By the time she reached the top she was soaked to the bone, her tunic practically worthless for protecting any modesty she had. It was one of those times she was glad she was so flat-chested. If Amy or Marine had tried this, they'd have been arrested for indecent exposure. Well, Marine would've been able to control it, so maybe that one was a moot point.
As she reached the top, she was grateful for the small cave, allowing her a few moments to collect herself. There was a plains right around through it, and what looked like a train station. A pond was off to her left, nearly twice its normal size based on what she saw. Yet another stark reminder that this rainstorm had been going for a while, and if she knew anything about living in the wilds, was going to be going for a while yet.
She took a moment to head to the train station, if only to get an idea of where she was. But off in the distance she saw a small house, with a small light flickering on and off. Palm trees dotted the long cliff outside it, and seeing that it was actually closer to head there than the train station, not to mention she didn't have any money, she headed towards the house.

Tails was having a bad day. Bad last week or so. First the Tornado 1 crashed into the landing pad, and then the Tornado 2 sprang a leak and its intertial compressor decided to fry itself in the rain.
So now he was stuck in his lab in the Mystic Ruins, trying to get a phone call to anyone to let them know where he was, and that he was safe. And of course his old generator was crapping out on him too. And to top it all off, if that wasn't bad enough, his cell phone had died in the crash.
Fuck it, he was having a bad time. He gave a low growl, before he shoved himself away from the Tornado 2. He'd work on the rest of it tomorrow, after he calmed down a bit. Thinking of all the things that happened made him pissed off, and he didn't want to accidentally set himself back weeks of work because he was mad.
Grudgingly he walked upstairs, shaking his fur to get any excess liquids off. His gloves went off into a hamper, ready for laundry whenever he got around to it. It was only a quarter full at the moment anyhow. He had plenty of time for it whenever he got around to it.
The floor if his house was set up a bit oddly, in that the first floor was almost entirely hangar, but the second floor had his bedroom and kitchen. It was a small place, perfect for a small kit but for someone his size and age, it was far too cramped for his liking. But on the other hand, when someone went down, that's when the fun started. The first subbasement was the Tornado 2, with its special hangar and docking bay. The second subbasement was the living room and laundry area. What could he say, he liked living like that way back then. Not as much anymore.
He was shocked then as he heard a knock on his door. "Why do I even have a door...I never use it for anything..." he muttered as he walked back down the stairs, not caring about the golden fluid that he was mostly sure was some kind of oil dripping from his headfur. "Yeah?" he asked, his sky blue eyes widening as he saw Blaze.
Or rather a soaked to the bone purple cat that looked as if she wanted to murder him for staring at her, with her tunic not hiding a damn thing from his roving eyes. "Blaze!?" he called out in surprise, before whisking her inside.
"Tails!?" she cried out as she pulled inside quickly. She stumbled for only half a second before catching herself. Some stairs off to the right and left of the landing made her wonder what was going on, before she saw the ruins that was a red biplane in front of her. "You live here!?" she said.
"Yeah, this was my home for years. I've since moved, but I crashed a few days ago and then the Tornado 2 decided to crap out...how come you're here though?" Tails answered. His eyes roamed her body, and he couldn't help but stare at the outline of her breasts and hips. She didn't have much up top, but damn he had to admit she had a nice pair of hips at least. And she was barefoot too. That was really odd.
Almost without thinking he pulled out an old pair of shoes that didn't fit him, staring at her feet. "I was chasing who I thought was Eggman Nega. But then he went through a portal...and I ended up in a forest out here. Where is here?" Blaze asked. She stared at the shoes with something akin to inquisitiveness. "No thanks, I'll be ok," she said. Tails shrugged and put them back. He had plenty of spares around if she changed her mind.
"Mystic Ruins. The Floating Island's dropped over that mountain range twice," Tails said, pointing off to the side. "You must've been off in the jungle area though. Eggman did have one of his bases out there, but we've long since destroyed it. There shouldn't be anything left over there," Tails said. "Come on up, you must be starving. And let's get you out of those clothes," he said.
"I wouldn't say no to some food," Blaze said quietly. She looked around in wonder at the various machine he had lying around. He led her to the top of the stairs, where there was a small kitchen and bedroom.
He headed to the kitchen, aware there was only a bar between it and the bedroom. "Check my closet for anything that fits," he said, glad that his fur held any blush. Blaze was, forgive the pun, hot as hell. And it appeared as if she was just as old as she was last time she was here, even though they hadn't seen her in years.
Of course, that might've just been the hormones in Tails' mind. He had gotten a very, very good look at her when she'd just walked in before he focused on her feet, if only to keep his eyes from wandering over her barely clothed body.
But Blaze was a friend, and he shouldn't think of friends like that. He reached into his fridge, hoping that the cold air would prevent him from thinking untoward thoughts. He didn't want to have those thoughts, to think the idea of Blaze under him, writhing in pleasure...focus Tails!
"What're you feeling like?" He asked loudly. His ears rotated, and he could hear her peel the dress off of her body and plop it on the ground. She must've found something that looked as if it would fit, as he heard her check through the hangers for a specific one. He didn't have many shirts, but he hoped he had one that fit.
"I'm a guest, Tails, anything you have will be ok by me. Especially an unnannounced guest," Blaze's voice called out. He hadn't really thought of it before, but she did have a tinge of royalty in it. A kind of haughtiness, but grounded at the same time. Must be because she was a Guardian too.
"Ok. I was planning on chicken curry..." he said. He wasn't. He had been planning on having a snack bar and going back to the Tornado. But he doubted that a half-starved thing like Blaze was looking would be ok with a mere snack bar, no matter how he made them.
"I didn't know you even knew how to cook." Her voice was much closer, looking over the bar. Must be done changing then. "And yes, I'm done Tails. You can look now."
"Thanks," he said as he got out the pre-packaged meal. "I wasn't sure and didn't want to peep," he admitted as he got to opening it. She had indeed found one of his shirts, and she was leaning over the bar, one of his darker blue shirts flowing easily over her frame.
Seeing her in it sent shivers down his spine, and he had to force himself to look at the chicken. Fucking hormones. He was a healthy teenager at sixteen, he knew that, but fucking hell.
"I suppose someone had to learn how to cook, huh?" She continued. Tails looked up, blinked and blushed, before he went back down. Dammit, she was hot. Literal and figurative. Maybe that's what he should focus on; that she could burn him alive in moments if he pissed her off.
"Something like that. I crashed often enough in places that I shouldn't, so I tried to teach myself the basics so I could always have something. And then Sonic and Knuckles found out, and while Sonic didn't care much for it, Knuckles took me under his wing and taught me everything he knew. And trust me, Knuckles is a survivalist, he knows a lot."
"Makes sense. Anything I can help with?" Blaze asked. "I am the unnanounced guest, after all."
Tails suddenly had the image of how to have her help, but that would just cloud his judgment. He didn't want to be the idiot that would suddenly go 'There is. Suck my dick so I can concentrate.' "N-No! Not at all, go and relax on the bed or couch. I'd offer you a towel but all mine are dirty...and I still need to do laundry."
Blaze raised an eyebrow. "Perhaps I can do that then. Where is your washer? I do have a few extra articles to put in."
Tails mind froze again. Chaos dammit. "Basement. Go downstairs, past the hanger, and keep going down to the bottom floors," he admitted. Blaze nodded, and he heard her grab a few things from the floor before she headed down.
He waited a few moments, making sure he didn't hear her fall. "Fuck, this storm is going to kill me. If she doesn't!"

So yeah. New experiment. Tails is aged-up, Blaze is not.
