Link whispered to himself. Link looked down at Impa's brother as he sat eating breakfast. It smelt like porridge. He ate it slowly, sitting at the table. Link didn't feel so hungry. He got out of bed, and pulled his tunic top on. Walking down the stairs, Link looked at the man. "Where's Ilia?" Link asked. He shrugged. "Dunno. Maybe she left in the night." Link rolled his eyes. "Well, saves me the trouble of having to leave her...But I do wonder what she had to leave for." Link thought as he left the house.
Link sighed, then took in a deep breath of cold morning air. The sky was partly cloudy, but there was no chance of rain. Dew hung on the grass underfoot. It was mild outside, not too hot but not too cold. "Beautiful day." Link murmured to himself. He walked down the stairs, and jumped down the small hill behind the Skulltala's House, landing on the ground near the tree in the middle of town. He realized his arm had healed. He grinned, but then his mind drifted towards his dream. All he heard was the voice, no image accompanied it. He shook his head, trying to rid his mind of the memory. Link sighed. "What to do, what to do..." He left Kakariko Village, going through the entrance and down the long set of stairs. Link noticed Epona was standing there, waiting for him. Link patted her on the neck, saying "I'll walk today, Epona. I want to think about some things." Epona snorted, seeming to understand. Link walked past her, across the small bridge, and began heading south. His dream still disturbed him. He began to think of the past, before his current "adventure". "We got rid of him, right? Navi seemed so sure...Sure enough to leave me, at least. All the Sages seemed sure...Was my dream just that, nothing but a dream?" Link realized he must have been walking for quite some time, because he had almost reached the entrance to the Kokiri Woods. He was beside that large wall that jutted from the ground randomly, running along a cliff.
Link saw the sun was high in the sky still, but it had begun to fall to the other side of the horizon. Link sat down on the ground, leaning against the cliff's almost flat wall. Link sat in silence for a few moments, relaxing in the cliff's gentle shade. Suddenly, he thought he could hear a familiar sound, almost like something whizzing through the air. It reminded him of a bug, only if the bug had big wings and was maybe the size of a bird. He kept his eyes closed, ignoring it. It just sounded so familiar to him. "Hey! Wake up, sleepyhead!" A voice rang out. It sounded commanding, yet friendly. He opened his eyes. It was Navi!
All Link could really see clearly was a ball of blue light with wings resting on his knee. Navi jumped off Link's hand, and began floating in front of him, her wings slowly beating. "Nonsense! I'm sure I'd be fine with it!" Link looked to the side, and said "Yeeeeaaaah...I wouldn't be so sure about that..." Navi flew around him calmly. "What could be so bad about your adventure? You're the Hero of Time, I'm sure it'll be fine!"
Link stood up, with Navi flying higher to stay around his chest and head. "Navi...To be honest...I'm not really doing an adventure per se...I'm actually just...Well..." Navi waited patiently.
