Chance followed Ester clutching his stomach, not bothering to try to take his mask off. Oddly enough, he couldn't float around in this form. Several times he stumbled over his own feet due to not being used to walking. "How do you people do this all the time?" he asked her as they got to Link's door.
Surprisingly, Link opened the door before they could knock. "Well..." He said looking at Chance, "I must say I thought I wouldn't see you ever again." he said, apparently recognizing Chance now.
"So you do recognize me! What an honor! I hope my being here doesn't piss you off or anything." Chance said, then he decided to add, "And what's the real story with the Zoras, hmmm?"
Link frowned. "Lulu is on the brink of death, and she still doesn't know that I'm not really Mikau. Or anything to do with the masks, really. The band is worried sick about her, and since you were born, Ester, I haven't really been there for her. I suppose if she was well enough to get to the Great Bay, you could put her soul to rest with the ocarina, but the main reason I see a problem with it is Mikau and Lulu are married, so if you did that..." he shuddered "I don't think that would work well, us being related and all..."
Chance laughed. "You really think that just because you have to say you are married, you would have to prove it publically?" He chuckled "You are so paranoid!" Then he remembered why they were there in the first place. "You wouldn't happen to have a shirt the size of a Goron, would you?"
Link's face reddened. "She didn't!"
Chance nodded. Link looked like he was going to faint. That or puke, but went indoors, and returned with a very large shirt, custom tailored for a Goron's massive size. "Do NOT take that off unless you want to get raped by a Goron. Understand?" he asked Ester, handing her the shirt.

Ester glanced back at him, giggling to herself as he stumbled about. "Well, have you seen any of us Terminians floating around?" she asked snarkily.
When the door opened, she couldn't help but jump. She opened her mouth, wanting to ask what sort of relationship the two men had, but the mention of Lulu made her shut it again. She remembered stories that her father told her when she was old enough to understand, how he was technically married to her, as he had worn Mikau's mask and basically turned into the Zora male, at least for a while. She wanted to help Lulu, but she had no idea how.
At the mere mention of the Goron clothes, Ester's whole face turned red and she looked down at the ground. Gingerly taking the massive shirt, which felt like it was five pounds of material in all, she stuffed it into her knapsack. "Yeah.... thanks Dad." she muttered, seriously embarrassed. Suddenly she lifted her head, "Oh yeah! Did you find a replacement for the Deku's gift?"
"Yes, as a matter of fact, I did." Link answered his daughter. reaching over to a shelf, he pulled something that resembled the multi-horned tuba Ester had played to change back to herself before. "This one doesn't change with your form, so how are you going to carry it there without breaking it?" Link asked. Chance smirked, snapping his fingers and the instrument disappeared into little black particles and traveled into his being.
"I didn't remember that being possible..." Link said, baffled. Chance smirked again. "Why so surprised? I've done that in front of you before at least three times I believe." Turning to Ester, he said "Let's get this thing delivered to the Deku Palace. Now where was that back alley again?"
Link spoke up at this point "That reminds me. I have a bunch of maps a friend of mine by the name of Tingle made that will help you out extensively. let me get them for you." and he went back inside for a moment, reemerging with a handful of maps, which Chance took from him with another snap, leaving the one of Clock Town out to observe. "Thanks Link! C'mon Ester, let's go!" Chance exclaimed as Link went back inside. Oddly enough, the sun had risen, but Chance wasn't affected in his current form.

Ester stared in awe at the Twili's little trick. "How.... oh never mind" She WAS curious about the past the two seemed to have, but she was too polite to ask. Maybe she would learn of it later in her travels with Chance. "Alright. Cya dad!" she called back to him as they left. Taking only a step away from the house caused a blinding ray of light to shine directly into her eyes. "Gah! It's morning already?" Shielding her eyes from the harsh UV rays, she noticed Chance wasn't burning to a crisp. "The sun isn't hurting you? Huh, cool."
They continued to walk into the passageway the little Deku Shrub boy had shown them. Unnerved, she had her wooden sword half out of its spot in her belt. She didn't want to get nearly eaten again. She soon saw what looked like a murky swamp, and quickly snapped on the Deku mask. "Alright Chance" she turned her bulbous head up to him, "I think you should probably hide. After all, they probably wouldn't like human-like visitors, like my dad said."

"Alright. I supposed it's back to little me then." Chance sighed. Realizing something, he shuffled nervously. "Umm... Ester? I'm not really sure how to take this mask off... Do you think that song your dad gave us would work?"
Long story short, it worked exactly like that.
Chance groaned. "Just when I was getting used to being able to actually enjoy sunlight!" he said, disappearing into her shadow. As they entered the Deku Palace, several heads turned, but other than that, they were ignored. That is until they entered the throne room.
"What do you mean, they haven't held up their end of the deal?" A Deku woman sitting on a very decorated throne was saying, presumably the queen. "I've gone to the trouble of preparing everything, and he doesn't want to show up?"
Chance cleared his throat, and everyone turned to look at Ester, who now somehow had the gift in her arms due to chance snapping again. "And who might you be?" The Deku Queen asked rather stressed out.

Letting out a sigh, Ester pulled out the ocarina and played the tune. Quite easily, he was turned back to his normal, sunburnable self. As much as she wanted him to stay like that, it was better for both of them that they didn't get kicked out of the palace.
In her tiny, wooden form, she tentatively stuck her foot out, thinking to test the water, but instead, her foot bounced off the water! Ester let out a gasp, landing on her rump hard. "Huh... ok then." she said to herself, getting back up, and managed to jump across the water, from lily pad to lily pad, straight to the entrance.
Surprisingly, no one seemed to pay much attention to the newcomer. Once she was in the lavishly decorated throne room, however, that changed. Ester was a bit startled at everyone staring at her, and with the instrument in hand, she slowly approached the throne. "Your Majesty, I am Ester. I bring you this gift from Kafei" Getting on one knee, she held out the odd trumpet, hoping this would please the distraught queen.

"You're the one that he sent the gift with? Why didn't they send Link?" The Deku Queen squeaked in annoyance. she had clearly been expecting the hero of Clock Town to be the one to deliver the gift. "I specifically told them I wanted Link to deliver the gift! You better have a good explanation for taking his place young lady!"
They did, However, take the instrument from Ester and put it on display. Chance whispered "Say something! If they wanted to see Link, there must be a reason!" He was apparently nervous they would be caught for wearing the mask, but there really wasn't a way to tell. The Deku Queen was looking more impatient by the minute. "Well? I'm waiting!" She huffed as she sat therelooking at Ester, along with all the others in the Throne Room.
