Zelda used to be but a simple village girl in the land of Skyloft, but that was before the great evil rose. The evil demon Demise was beginning to invade again and attempted to kidnap Zelda. Eventually, she came to find out she was the reincarnation of the Goddess Hylia, who sealed Demise thousands of years ago. Demise’s demon sword, Ghirahim, attempted to invade the Temple of Time to kidnap Zelda, but Impa, Link, and the sword spirit Fi teamed up to protect her. The battle against Ghirahim was fierce, but to protect her further, Impa wanted to open up a Time Gate to the past, allowing Impa and Zelda to hide where Ghirahim couldn’t find them. The living sword wanted to prevent the escape, but Link and Fi were too tough to overcome. His target was going to escape.
However, out of nowhere, before Impa could open a Time Gate, a purple portal opened up and out walked red-haired man clad in black armor and a small blue-haired girl clad in slave garb. The man introduced himself as Ganondorf and ordered his slave, Lana, to subdue Impa and Zelda using a spell. Lana grimaced at the order, but opened up her spell book and launched an electricity spell, paralyzing both Impa and Zelda. Link attempted to rush to his friends’ aid, but Ghirahim launched an attack. Fi managed to warn Link just in time to narrowly dodge the attack, but then Ganondorf launched an attack himself. The two evil ones overwhelmed Link, leading to Ganondorf slicing Link’s right arm off. Fi attempted to help, but Ganondorf cast a spell on the Goddess Sword, weakening Fi and causing her to go back into the sword. Zelda, now the leader of Demise’s army, slaughtered anyone who dared stand against her and proudly razed her homeland to the ground in the name of her new God.
The survivors of the assault quickly surrendered, as it became clear no one could stand up to the mighty evil forces. It wasn’t long before a new system was set up where the new slaves would worship Demise as their God and learn to fear his wrath. The tales of Hylia and any hope for peace were soon erased from the land.
The Light had been forever extinguished.
Zelda, knowing that she was using Hylia’s power to slaughter those she intended to protect, couldn’t have been happier.
The land that would have been Hyrule would be smothered in Darkness forevermore.
