Pyre was walking along the sewer, trying to get to Elysium in as much time as possible. That was the one thing that sucked about being a Primogen, the having to go to Elysium all the time. Yet…there was someone calling her. Enough that she just stopped and listened to the running footsteps. ‘Balthazar,’ she thought with a very happy grin. He rarely ran after her but in a second he was there and laying a hand on her shoulder.
“Pyre,” he said as he took a deep breath, “there is a Mister Green to see you. Eric Green, to use his full name.”
“The Eric Green?” Pyre asked in response, her face showing that she wondered why the famous Nosferatu was in Beloit. “The one whom has a heroin ring and all the other things?”
“Yes, that Eric Green,” he says with a chuckle and gently turns Pyre around. “For some reason, he really wants to meet you. I have no clue why,” he says as he gently takes Pyre’s arm. She didn’t protest and in quiet they walked back the way Pyre came until they reached the common meeting point for the clan. “How are you feeling tonight?” He asks with a touch of concern for her.
“I’m feeling quite well. Actually better than I felt before you caught up to me. I had to go to Elysium just to sit there and it would have been boring,” she replies to his question with a smile for him.
“Well, then this will make the night exciting,” a new voice said to Pyre as the pair came quickly to the place where Eric Green was waiting. “It is nice to meet you, Pyre,” the voice said as it took her hand. “I am Eric Green and I have heard much about you. Like the fact that you were one that helped created our information network. Amazing work,” he said with a voice of a smile with a smile on his face.
“Thank you, Mister Green,” she said and could almost blush at his words. “I was wondering why you have decided to visit.”
“It was mostly to see what has been happening since I left Beloit a while ago. I was wondering if you could tell me a bit of the incidents of Beloit?”
“Most of it has been quiet. There was a creature down in the sewers a while ago, but it was exterminated before it could cause too much harm. I believe you know the political structure of the city so far?”
“Yes, I do,” Eric said as he sat down upon something. Balthazar’s eyes followed the man and something inside of him told him not to trust Eric. He moved closer to Pyre without her noticing, not about to give Eric an inch to hurt her or anything else he wanted to do.
“Then I believe a trip to Elysium is in order to introduce yourself to the Prince. Unless you have done that already.”
“No, I have noEricEric said as he stood. Balthazar tried to offer an arm again but she shook him off. “And I should tell you an interesting tale about the Tremere.”
“Really? What about them?” Pyre asked with her imagination peaked. Any type of story was of interest to her, and one that came from a source such as Eric Green.
“That all Tremere chantries have massive libraries, most with information that they do not need. Or with information that would be harmful to all the vampiric population. This information goes from where a vampire lives to how to kill them easily. All Tremere know how to kill or subdue a vampire through mind control. But that isn’t such a problem for you as your eyes are gone. A while ago, when I was here, the Tremere took over a Prince whom became mad and murderous. The Prince was taken down, but it wasn’t until a Ventrue decided to take the initiative. It was split along both sides on to stay with the Prince or to help take him down with the Ventrue. In the end, the Ventrue won her battle, but I have no clue what happened to her after all of this was done. But there is no story without a morale to it. The morale is to rid the Tremere of such libraries. A way to do this would be to let silverfish into them.”
“What are silverfish?” Pyre asked as she did not smile at this information.
“There are nasty bugs that destroy books by eating them. And since the Tremere do not really believe in the wonders of the computer, it would be a horrible blow to them. It is the best non-violent way to make sure that the Tremere are at a lost without any lost of life,” Eric said as they got to the way up to the surface to get to Elysium. Pyre took the lead into Elysium ae doe door ghouls let them all pass, the three Nosferatu and a ghoul walking in.
“Balthazar, could you lead Mister Green to the Prince?” Pyre asked as she heard the voices of Anna and Arianna. “There is some business that I need to conduct,” and without waiting for a reply, she set off for the two Ventrue in order to finalize a plan.

Later in the night, Balthazar found Pyre in a corner of Elysium talking with Arianna. “Excuse me ladies,” he said with a very gentle voice, “but Pyre is needed for a clan meeting.”
“Oh,” Pyre said with a surprised look on her face. “Will you excuse me, Arianna?”
“Of course Pyre,” Arianna said with a small smile to Balthazar. “We will finish later.”
Pyre took his arm as he lead her out of Elysium but she asked a soft question. “How is it I did not know about this before you had to pull me away?”
“Because Mister Green just decided to call it. Pyre, I do not trust him.”
“But you have only known him about half a night.”
“I just know these things…there is something wrong about him. I just cannot put my finger upon it.”
“Perhaps you are just being paranoid. I think if there was something wrong about him, one of us would know by now.”
“I hope we would,” he says as he opens a door into a office of Elysium and helped Pyre enter. He closed the door behind him as Mister Green and his ghoul stood there in front of them.
“Lady Pyre,” the ghoul said with a small bow, “I must take my leave of you tonight,” she says as she presses a small container into Pyre’s hands. “The container you hold is full of blood that is very poisoness. One small drink can put another vampire in torpor. I have also sent a gift to the Prince in your name of a mask that is very old and very powerful. He does not know of the powers, but is very pleased with the gift,” the ghoul says with a happy smile.
“Thank you for everything. Your services have helped much in the short time you have been here.”
“It was my pleasure, Lady Pyre, and it was needed.”
Eric Green smiled softly at the short conversation between Primogen and ghoul. ‘She is interesting…too bad I will not have enough time to get to know her better. But that is what must happen in life,’ he thought. “Pyre, I must also leave later tonight but wanted to leave you with a gift as well. The Harpy of your city is a mortal.”
“Are you sure?” Pyre asked with a shocked voice as Balthazar looked shocked as well with this news.
“Very sure. I hope you will get this information to the Prince as soon as you can,” Eric said with a careful tone.
“That I will and I wish the both of you a safe journey.” Both of the people in the room nodded as Balthazar opened the door again for Pyre to leave. “That went well,” Pyre said to Balthazar as they were alone in the hallway. He just looked at her as she walked off, shaking his head and not allowing himself to just laugh.

And later that night, the Tremere chantry blew up and fell at the hands of Eric Green. And then he left town.
