Purifying a legend
Author’s note: I’m sorry to say this but this will be the last chapter for a while, I thought I would be able to run two stories simultaneously along with my oneshots but it is proving too much of a headache (well migraine actually, my brain is overactive but trying to get it to focus for more than five minutes is nothing short of agony), so like Impure SoulSilver I will be putting this story on the backburner for a while so I can focus on Lust Green, I had considered putting that one on hiatus since this story will be shorter and faster to complete but Lust Green is by far my most popular story so it seems I should finish that one first, I will be submitting chapters for this when I can but just not as regular as Lust Green
Now that that is sorted, let’s get Chapter 13 started
“You ready to do this?” Rui asked as she and Wes stood before the Relic stone, Enteis Ultra Ball in one of Wes’s hands whilst he held the Time Flute in the other

Upon being released Entei shook its huge head before letting out a loud rumbling yawn which was loud enough to mirror a roar from an Arcanine shaking the ground slightly under it, shaking the sleep from its head Entei then turned its gaze downward towards Wes and Rui before turning to stare at the Relic Stone, its eyes glimmering in what seemed like remembrance and Rui could swear that its aura got a little lighter at that moment “you know what that is don’t you?” Wes questioned to which Entei gave him a passing glance before giving a small nod “we brought you here to heal you like you asked” he added holding the Time Flute forward noticing Enteis eyes glimmer even more at the sight of it “I’m guessing I just play this then to make it work”
Bringing the flute to his mouth Wes then played the only song he knew, the music simple and basic but pleasant as it echoed on the breeze filling the small clearing, as Wes played the Relic Stone glowed slightly brighter, Entei though seemed unaffected by the song merely gazing down at Wes as Rui began to lose hope as the Fire Dogs dark aura remained untouched as the song ended, lowering the flute Wes sighed as realized that the song had no effect “what did I do wrong? Does this thing only work with a specific song? A full moon or something?” he pondered before stopping as a bright green light started to shine above them
As the pair stared at the light a small shape emerged from it as if coming through a portal and to their immense shock and surprise the shape becoming none other than Celebi, upon emerging from the portal the Time Traveller Pokémon hovered down until it was level with Enteis face seeming to look beyond the Fire Dogs eyes and deep into its soul, an immediate look of concern then graced the small Legendries’ features before it started to glow hovering higher before taking off spinning around the Fire Dog at great speed bathing it in its green light
As the green glow completely enveloped the Entei Rui gasped as she saw the dark aura coating the Dogs heart completely dissipate purifying the Legendary near immediately, when its job was done Celebi took one glance back at Wes and Rui before shooting upwards back through the portal it came through which swiftly vanished from sight “holy shit” Wes gasped barely noticing the Time Flute crumble to dust in his grasp “did I just summon Celebi?”
“Yes you did human and you have freed me from a fate worse than death” Entei responded moving into an almost bowing position in front of Wes and Rui bringing its head to be level with theirs “for that I am indebted to you, from this moment on I am yours to command” the beast declared lowering its head further to rest it on its front paws in a full bow, taken back by the Legendry’s pledge Rui couldn’t help but begin to fantasize what it was going to be like having a powerful Legendary on their side, how easy it would be to take down those responsible for the Shadow Pokémon and how they would all fall before Enteis rage and fire

“You are not going with him?” Entei inquired noticing that Wes had left Rui behind
“Nah, I’m pretty safe here so Wes can relax a little more, if we were in Pyrite though he wouldn’t take his eyes off of me” Rui explained to which the Fire Dog nodded lowering himself to lay down in front of the Relic Stone letting out a heavy sigh as it finally got to rest its weary bones “so what are you going to do now that you’re free?” the redhead asked moving to sit down next to the Legendary beast resting against its side silently marvelling at the fact that she was able to get so close to something that many merely considered to be a myth
Raising his head to gaze up at the sun Entei closed his eyes briefly in what seemed like great contemplation “I am not sure, when you are free to do as you please without the burden of ageing there is very little need to plan ahead, for now though I am content in simply resting here” the Beast responded as he enjoyed the gentle breeze that blew through the clearing
“Can I ask you something?”
“You may” Entei replied expecting Rui to ask about his age or how powerful he was or something to that effect
“Can I touch you?” Rui asked prompting Entei to look back at her with what she assumed was a raised eyebrow by the way the crest on the Fire Dogs head slanted slightly “it’s just that when you move on I know there’s basically no chance of seeing you again so I want to make the most out of this whilst I still can” she explained hoping that she hadn’t offended the Legendary but after a few seconds Entei merely closed its eyes and nodded essentially giving Rui the go ahead
