"Now...Where to go..." Link thought. His mind kept drifting back to Midna. But he shook his head. "I'll see her again sometime." He thought. He stopped leaning against the tree, and began to walk towards the lowered gate that went into Hyrule Market. "Well...I'd like to see Miranda again. She's special." Link thought, smiling to himself. The sun shone in the horizon, slowly creeping upwards. Link smiled, and took a deep breath. "Hyrule seems to be beautiful everyday, no matter where you are...Except for maybe the Lost Woods...That place would be kind of creepy if Saria's Song didn't ring through it constantly." Link thought with a smile. He began to think about his small friend with green hair, and wondered if she missed him. Link sighed. Just as he reached the gate, his head began to feel strange, like he was tired. His vision seemed to melt away, leaving darkness. "Please, Hero! We need your aid!" A female voice said, just as Link collapsed.
Link awoke, feeling weightless again. He was hovering in what seemed like endless darkness. "Wh-Where the hell am I?" Link muttered. "I've been here before...Seems everytime I go somewhere I come here first." Link thought. "Hero, we need help, but we can get it only from you!" The female voice said. Link looked around. He seemed to be completely alone with his thoughts. "Ummm...Maybe I'd be able to help you if I could see you..." Link said, accentuating the word "see". "Nayru...Maybe you should release him?" A second female voice said. "Alright. I guess we owe him that much." "Aaah!" Link gasped. He snapped his eyes shut. He saw something so bright in an instant, he feared his eyes might have been damaged. "Oh no! We forgot to take on human shapes!" A voice said. "He's fine. He closed his eyes. Just take on another shape, he can't see us as we are."
The light died down, Link not seeing white through his eyelids. He slowly opened his eyes. He was in a room, large and grand. His breath was carried away. The floor seemed to be made of white marble. The walls, as well. A door on the far side of the room seemed to be made from solid gold. He was standing on a bed, and the sheets beneath his feet was one of the softest things he had ever felt. A delicate fragrance surrounded him, sweet as honey but so light he didn't get sick of it. A few paintings hung on the marble walls, being almost like windows into another land, crystal clear like it was an exact copy of what the artist saw. Large portions of the walls were missing, but it was purposeful- They usually reached to the floor, and there were marble guardrails built across the gaps. A light breeze blew in, at just the right strength and just cold enough to keep his body from overheating. Through the windows, Link could see vast mountain ranges, spanning for what seemed eternity. Link closed his eyes, and sighed peacefully. "Link?" He heard someone say. He opened his eyes.
Standing at the foot of the bed were three women, seemingly his age, around seventeen to twenty. They were all as beautiful as a sunrise. One had long, aqua blue hair that hung around her mid back. Another had scarlet red hair, that flowed further down along her lower back. The last had luscious green hair, alike to emeralds. It was shorter than the other's were, being around her shoulders and neck. Each one's eyes were the same colour as their hair. The one with red hair was wearing a small black shirt, that hugged to her large chest tightly, showing off her breasts. She wore black pants, which seemed tight as well. The one in the middle with blue hair was wearing a flowing white robe, golden trimming around the sleeves. An intricate design of gold was on her chest, like a labyrinth of bright yellow fibers. Although her legs and feet weren't visible because of the robe, Link did see glints on her ears, and realized it was because she was wearing golden earrings.
The third on the right with green hair wore a dark green t-shirt, along with blue pants. She was wearing a silver bracelet. She seemed to smile at Link. Link smiled back, and stepped down from the bed. To his surprise, the marble beneath his feat was neither rough nor cold, but smooth and warm. All three of them turned to him. Link took a few steps forward, and then turned to them all. "You're the goddesses of Hyrule, aren't you? Din, Nayru, and Farore, if memory serves me correctly." They all nodded, and shortly after the one with red hair began laughing quietly. "I told you, Farore! They say your name last!" The one with green hair, apparently Farore, gained a pouty look. "Shut up, they say your name first to get it out of the way for Nayru and me." The one in the middle with blue hair looked left and right, glancing at the two of them. "Let's not get into an argument here, we have a guest, one who'll be helping us. Or have you two forgotten already?" The one with red hair sighed and said "I haven't forgotten. It'll be the first time in ages!" Farore smiled, and said "It's been too long."
Link smiled at the girl's bickering. "Well...Any one of you lovely ladies gonna inform me as to why I'm here?" The one with blue hair and the white robe smiled sweetly at Link. "We brought you here." The one with red hair nodded and said "We've been the ones sending you around." Farore shrugged and said "I hope we didn't inconvenience you." Link shook his head and said "No, it's fine." The one in red grinned happily. "See? He liked it. And you two were worried." The one with blue hair sighed. "Din, our worry was proper. Who knows how he could have reacted?" The girl with red hair, who must have been Din, rolled her eyes. "You two worry about everything all the time. Sometimes it's easier to just let go of things." Link nodded. "I agree." Din smiled at him happily. "Thank you. You see? Link's with me on this one. Life is more fun if you just let go of worries that don't concern you." Farore shook her head as Nayru sighed again. "Din, annoyance is never scarce with you around."
Din grew angry, and said "You're right, because you piss me off all the time, Nayru!" Nayru raised an eyebrow. "Is that so?" Link sighed, and stepped forward, his arms outstretched between the two women. "Now, now...Let's all calm down. Nobody's told me yet. Why am I here? Why have you been transporting me places?" All the girls smiled at him. They spoke in unison. "First, let us introduce ourselves!" They said. Din grinned at him and put her hands on her hips, striking a heroic pose. "I'm Din, Goddess of Power!" Nayru placed her hands together in a prayer position and bowed slightly. "I am Nayru, Goddess of Wisdom." Farore did a twirl, spinning around once before stopping. She did a little curtsy bob, and said "I'm Farore, Goddess of Courage!" Link raised an eyebrow. "....They sure don't seem as noble and mature as all the stories made them out to be. They're almost like...Like normal women."
Link smiled, and did a little bow himself. "I'm honoured to meet the creators of Hyrule." Din smiled, and said "Come on, it was nothing. Stop bowing already." Link smiled, and leaned back up. "It's a beautiful place. In fact, I was admiring it just moments before you brought me here." Nayru smiled. "Is that so? I'm happy to hear our work has not gone unappreciated." Link shook his head seriously. "I think not. It's practically a paradise, day in and day out." Farore smiled gladly. Link looked around. "This is where the three of you live, huh?...I can't describe it. It's got me speechless." Din continued smiling at him. "Yup. We've lived here for centuries upon countless centuries. It's a wonderful place, but it can get annoying with these two always around..." Nayru shot Din a dirty look, and said "Perhaps you'd like to leave, Din? If you hate it here so much, then act upon that emotion." Din smiled angrily at her. "I don't hate it here, but I grow tired of seeing your faces everyday!"
Farore stepped between the two, and said "Stop it, please!" Link stepped over to them. "Yeah, cut it out already." They all looked at him. Link looked around at them. "Why am I here?" Nayru closed her eyes. "Din...Farore...Go do something. Let me speak with out esteemed guest alone." Farore nodded, but Din rolled her eyes again. Farore smiled at Link as she left, and Din grinned and said "See ya, handsome." They both reached for the door, but it was Farore who opened it. They both stepped through the golden doorframe, and into a bright light beyond. Nayru sighed. She looked at Link with happiness in her eyes. "Okay, Hero. Sit on the bed with me. We have much to discuss." Link nodded, and sat on the bed. Nayru sat beside him, closely. "Hero, the reason we've been sending you around is because we felt bad for those girls." Link's brow grew furrowed in puzzlement. "Felt bad for them? Why? Agitha, Romani and Cremia are all beautiful girls."
