AN :  Hey guys! It has been so long since I sat down and worte more about this story! I haven't forgotten; it's just that I have been very busy lately with Christmas and New Year coming up !!! I hope you enjoy this bit of a chapter that I had written and modified; I promise I will continue with the story as soon as I can ! Till then, please enjoy!

         As they made their way towards Emerald Sanctuary, another cursed thought ran through Zeyhan’s mind. He shook his head trying to deny, helplessly, what his mind told him. <<There is no way Crikton would deceive me like that, he would have told me if something was wrong…>> Just as he tried to reassure himself, his head tilted sideways and he quickly took a glimpse of his friend’s face. The Warrior did, in fact, seem concerned about something. The thought stirred Zeyhan’s guts once again, almost turning them over. He doubted before popping the question loudly; probably louder than he intended to.

‘’Is something bothering you?’’ He halted, staring at the older man.

Crikton stopped walking and turned swiftly around. He took a deep breath, watching the Blood Elf’s expression carefully for any sign of accusations. He couldn’t find one yet, but It was just a matter of time before he did.

‘’I… There is nothing wrong, Zeyhan.’’ The Warrior replied, his tone rather itchy and irritated. Though he tried to hide the anger and the frustration, both leaked through his words.
           Zeyhan hardly swallowed; he stood firmly on the ground and glared at him. <<This is just not possible; yes… Time goes by slowly when we are apart, but I have always waited for him…>> His heart inevitably faltered, and a sad sigh escaped his thin, dry lips. He gave onto the thought of someone else; maybe someone that would bring the Warrior the happiness and the care that he truly deserved. Even so, Zeyhan couldn’t help but feel angry and sad; he questioned himself the ability of loving someone up to the point of being selfish and possessive. He loved Crikton, the Paladin knew he loved his friend more than anything; he had loved him secretly and afraid for so many years; and he had gone through things with that man that he dared not to share with anyone else; yet that bitter thought of another person casting her shadow over him overwhelmed the Sin’dorei. He tried to suppress the image of that man wondering off with any other person that was not him; and the thought pierced through his soul. His breath shortened.

‘’I…’’ he battled himself; he didn’t want to be a drama queen; nor look like a weak, whinny elf. He swallowed his fears and his accusations; and continued to walk straight ahead. His fists so tight that his nails began to dig onto his own skin.

            Crikton wondered in his head what was wrong with that man; but he decided to let Zeyhan be; at least for the time being.

            The sun shone above them, hidden and dimmed out by the dense Felwood foliage. The climate was hot and heavy, and, for being that time of the day where the sun was supposed to lighten everything up; the strange greenish tint of light bothered Zeyhan and Crikton; for they both felt decay and disease in the air; and the greenish, feverish colors were not helping at all.

            As time went slowly by, no words were spoken; and Crikton soon lowered Ghyra from his shoulders and kept her walking at his side. There were strong animals out there; and they usually wondered near the roads, so it was better to keep her close in case anything unexpected came past by. The Blood Elf walked behind them; trying to wash his mind away of any bad, sad, or desperate thoughts. Curiosity was killing him inside out; and whatever it was that he wanted so badly to know; he would be finding out soon enough.

            Once they reached Emerald Sanctuary, Crikton ordered Zeyhan to stay with Ghyra and then walked up to a person that was sitting on the ground, against a big tree by the hut. Words were exchanged and the person soon stood up. Zeyhan couldn’t help but to come closer in order to take a better look at the situation; and probably, if he was lucky, to catch at least a bit of their conversation.

                 He stared at Crikton and that other individual with a mixture of jealousy and preoccupation; he knew nothing of what was going on. The elf stared at the other person that stood right in front of the Warrior; and watched them as they exchanged words and a hug. A hug. He glared at them, his grip suddenly too tight around Ghyra’s arm; and as soon as he heard a small whimper escape her lips he let go. But he kept on watching from afar. The individual was certainly a male; a rather tall, handsome, human male. He wore dark, long robes; his skin was pale and his hair a pitch black. His expression was rather of excitement; Zeyhan couldn’t catch his eye color from such distance, however he noticed a thin, black beard that surrounded the male’s lips and chin.

‘’Thank you for waiting for us.’’ Crikton said, shoving his hand down his leather pouch to search for the money he was supposed to pay that man.

‘’It took you some time,’’ The other replied, and he watched over Crikton’s shoulder as Zeyhan and Ghyra stood some meters away. ‘’There is a Horde member watching us.’’ He stated; raising his defense as soon as he noticed Zeyhan’s presence.

            Crikton turned round, forgetting for a moment that his friend was in fact a member of the opposing faction; and it took him a few seconds to digest the fact and stop the Warlock, but it was late for words; he needed action as soon as he saw a faint, dark light emerging from the Warlock’s hands.

‘’He is with me, Smeldor! Stop!’’ He said, quickly taking his hand out of the pouch and grabbing the Warlock’s left arm to interrupt his spell.
