Last Chapter:
Sora nodded waving after his friends before he turned to his lover, “See? You got worked up over nothing.” He said softly, pressing a kiss to his lover's arm.
Riku shrugged, not bothering to apologize for his behavior. Just because Wakka, Tidus and Kairi were okay didn't mean that everyone would be. They could not afford to let down their guard for even an instant. "Just get in the car, Sora."
Chapter Sixteen: The Dinner
A heavy sigh left Sora’s lips as he climbed into the car, closing the door after he was seated, he watched his lover round the car to the driver’s side, “What’s the matter now?” He asked as his lover opened his car door.
The brunet was met with a tired glare as the silver haired teen got into the car and closed his door, “Buckle your belt, Sora.” He commanded softly before slipping the keys into the ignition, ignoring his lover’s question.
“Not until you tell me what’s wrong.” Sora replied stubbornly as he crossed his arms over his chest and turned to give his lover a glare.
“What’s wrong? Gee, let me guess! I was almost expelled for that car incident. Not to mention the severe tongue lashing and grounding I received from my mother and no one gave two flying fucks about it! That’s what’s wrong!” The pale haired male snapped, returning Sora’s glare with an even more intense one.
“That is not true, and you know it!” Sora returned, his voice only slightly louder than Riku’s, “Who was right there with you trying to convince your mother and the cops that he was with you the whole evening...still at the party?!”
Riku’s eyes widened dramatically before he turned towards the windshield, turning the key to start the car before he looked over his shoulder to pull the vehicle out of the parking spot.
“That’s right, Riku! I was there. I gave a flying fuck!” Sora continued on, glaring at the silver haired teen who was trying very hardly to ignore him, “Don’t you think it’s time to get over it?”
“Get over it!?” Riku cried, slamming on the brakes, causing Sora to throw his hands in front of him to keep him from smashing into the dashboard, “Did you know that when anything bad happens that I’m the first one they come to about it?” He asked, not longer yelling, but his voice was just as dangerous, “No, of course you wouldn’t, because perfect little Sora always has his head in the fucking clouds!”
Sora gasped at his lover, quickly buckling his belt before his lover decided to slam on the brake again. With a huff, he turned and glared at the window. His arms cross at his chest with tears sparkling at his eyes. Determined not to talk nor look at Riku for the remainder of the ride back home.
--- --- ---
Riku heaved a sigh as he pulled into his driveway, glancing over at his still fuming lover. During the drive he had managed to calm down and realize that he had taken out his anger on his lover, which was something he never intended nor wanted to happen. Feeling guilty and sorry as he turned off the car, he turned to his brunet lover to apologize, only to find the passenger door slamming and the brunet marching up the drive.
Aquamarine eyes followed the brunet as he walked up to the porch, stopping to talk to his elder brother, Yazoo, who was probably waiting for them to get home. He watched as Sora answer to something Yazoo had said then he rolled his eyes and marched right into the house, slamming the door behind him.
Then he turned to see his brother walking down the drive towards him with a frown on his face. Sighing heavily, he pushed open his car door, “What did you do to Sora?” The long haired boy asked, glaring at his younger brother.
Riku fisted the steering wheel, “I kinda got angry and took it out on him.” He replied softly, not looking at the elder man, “And, maybe I said a few things I didn’t mean.”
Yazoo rolled his eyes, “You need to watch your anger.” He replied, crossing his arms over his chest, “Especially around Sora.”
Riku turned to glare at his brother, “You don’t think I know that?” He snapped.
The elder brother snorted, “Obviously not well enough.” He returned, “Your anger puts him under stress, which isn’t good for him nor the baby. Next time you feel like getting angry, remember that.” He said as he pushed the car door opened even more, “Now, Sora’s resting in my old room, I suggest you take those Prozac you didn’t take this morning like you were suppose to and go take a nap yourself until dinner.”
Riku nodded slowly, “Yeah...yeah, you’re right.” He said with a sigh, “I’ll do that, thanks aniki.”
Yazoo nodded, moving aside to let his younger brother out of the car, closing the door behind the teen, "You're welcome." He replied, "And, remember, if you need to talk, I am here for a reason."
Riku paused, glancing over his shoulder, "What...to torture me?" He asked, a small smirk on the silver haired teen's face.
Yazoo snorted, walking up behind him, "No, dear brother, that's Kadaj's lot in life." He paused, sighing heavily, "It's not much, but it's his life."
--- --- ---
The Tanaka house was unusually quiet, which unnerved Risa slightly, because the middle aged woman was used to her sons trying to murder and maim each other. And, truth be told, she had grown rather fond of her dinner time chats with her youngest son's expecting fiancé. But, as time worn on and dinner got closer and closer neither her son or his boyfriend appeared down stairs.
Wiping her hands with a dishtowel, Mrs. Tanaka walked into the living room where the three eldest of her sons were sitting (not bickering, surprisingly), "Has anyone seen Riku or Sora today?" The blond haired woman asked, looking at each boy in the room.
"He and Sora got into a small argument, both are resting and cooling off." Yazoo replied, glancing over at his mother from the card game he was playing with Loz, "Riku's been more stress and depressed than usual, he hasn't been taking his medication."
"That boy!" Risa said with an aggravated sigh, "Has he taken them today?"
Yazoo nodded, "Oh yes, he should be quite happy when he wakes up." He replied.
"Would you mind going to get him...? Sora too?" Risa asked, glancing over her shoulder into the kitchen where dinner was still cooking, "Dinner will be ready soon."
"Of course, Mother." Yazoo replied with a nod, raising gracefully from his card game with Loz to go awake both boys.
"I find that sex works much better to help me relax," Kadaj said glibly from his chair in the corner. The dishtowel his mother had been holding moments before smacked him in the face.
"I did not raise you to be so crude," Mrs. Tanaka snapped, whirling about to return to the kitchen.
Yazoo laughed at him all the way up the steps to his old room. First he wanted to wake Sora up before he fetched his youngest brother. "Sora? Dinner's ready." He said, cracking open the door.
Sora mumbled a bit before opening his eyes, “So soon?” He asked with a pout, rubbing his eyes before sitting up to stretch, “Has Riku came around yet?”
Pushing open the door the rest of the way, Yazoo grinned broadly at the sleepy boy. "Oh yes, he should be quite calm and compliant now. Come on, I'll go and get Riku while you head downstairs. Mom made one of your favorite dishes."
“Really?” Sora asked, grinning broadly before he got out of bed, “Alright.” He said before going down stairs.
Feeling better about Sora's change of mood, Yazoo continued on down the hall to fetch Riku. It took him longer than expected to wake him up, but a few minutes after Sora had taken his spot at the table, Yazoo came down with Riku, practically supporting his brother since he still wasn't fully awake yet.
Kadaj pounced on the opportunity to bug his little brother in his current state. "Hey, Riku, have you given that threesome any more..." Kadaj was cut off by a smack over the head with a wooden spoon courtesy of his mother. She was scary when she glared like that.
Sora blinked, looking over at the elder silver haired boy, his face flushed in shock as Risa patted him on the shoulder, "I had better not hear anymore crude comments from you, Kadaj." The woman said.
The brunet snickered softly at the woman proclamation before giving his sleepy lover a tentative smile as the silver haired boy was helped into his seat next to Sora.
Propping his head up with an arm and resting that arm on the table, Riku sleepily returned the smile.
"Elbows off the table, Riku," Mrs. Tanaka snapped, put out by Kadaj's behavior. But when she looked at Sora, she was all smiles again. "I'm sorry that my boys aren't better mannered, Sora-chan."
Beside his mother, Kadaj snickered behind his hand. "She called him 'chan."
"Shut up Kadaj," Loz said, 'accidentally' spilling some creamed corn onto his brother's lap as he passed the dish on to his mother.
Sora smiled at the woman, “It's alright, Mrs. Tanaka.” He chirped, returning to his dinner.
Kadaj leaned across the table, looking directly at Sora. "You know, if I were you, I would have taken advantage of the fact that Riku's difficult to wake up some... OW!!" The silver-haired boy glared up at his eldest brother who smiled innocently back at him. "That hurt you big oaf."
Loz shrugged, "I have no idea what you're talking about, Kadaj." He said, returning to his meal.
"Where's dad?" Riku asked, finally realizing that his father wasn't present at the table. As usual, he simply ignored Kadaj.
"He had to work late tonight," Mrs. Tanaka answered, not all that happy about it. "Something about getting some things done before he would be able to take his leave of absence."
Sora giggled at Kadaj and Loz, just finishing up his dinner. He sighed contently, “That was good, Mrs. Tanaka.”
"I'm glad you liked it," Mrs. Tanaka beamed, happy. Her boys were never so polite as Sora. "I... just want to say that... I hope you know that you're welcome to stay here for as long as you like. I know that Riku has been itching to get out on his own, but... for the baby's sake, I hope that you can come to think of this place as home until you are both truly ready to be out on your own. Raising a family isn't easy and you boys already have several strikes against you."
"Mom, don't say such embarrassing stuff," Riku grumbled around a mouthful of chicken. He could feel Kadaj's amused stare directed at him and he wanted more than anything to toss a handful of mashed potatoes at the jerk, but he knew his mother would kill him for it.
“Thank you!” Sora said, smiling up at the woman, “I'd appreciate the help.” He said. And, God knows it was true. He knew absolutely nothing when it came to children.
"And we'll help too!" Kadaj offered. "Loz has a lot of experience, helping with me, Yazoo, Riku and our little dog too." Clapping his hands together, he cackled just like the witch from the 'Wizard of Oz.'
"Mom, would you please make Kadaj shut up," Riku begged, giving his mother his, according to his brothers, infamous puppy dog eyes. It never failed to get him what he wanted.
"Isn't it time for you to go to work, Kadaj?" Mrs. Tanaka asked as she got up to begin clearing the table. Even she was ready for him to leave.
Sora blinked, staring at Kadaj with his eyebrow arched. Kadaj wasn't coming within ten feet of his child, not if he could help it, "I suppose it'd be a good idea to take some parenting classes or something, hm?" He said.
"You don't want my help?" Kadaj sniffled. "Fine. Just remember how mean you were to me when you desperately need help and I say no." With that, Kadaj got up and stomped out of the house.
"One of these days I'm going to murder him in his sleep," Riku muttered under his breath. But not softly enough as he mother clocked him over the head with her wooden spoon. "Ow!"
"Serves you right. Kadaj may be... troublesome, but there's no need for talk like that," Riku's mother scolded. Kadaj may be a lot of things but he was still her son and she did love him.
Sora snickered under his breath, before he stood to clear his plate, "I think I'm going to go back upstairs to rest for a little while longer."
"I'm going too," Riku said, getting up as well. He might not be mad any longer, but neither did he feel like hanging around with his brothers either. He hated it when he had to take the anxiety , because sometimes it left him groggy and his brothers always seemed to use that to their advantage like Kadaj had done earlier.
"Good, because you need your rest as much as Sora does," Mrs. Tanaka said, waving the spoon at Riku's retreating back. She had Yazoo to help her clean up anyway.
Sora stifled a yawn as he climbed the stairs, heading for his and Riku's shared room. He didn't even know how he had gotten so tired. 'Must be the pregnancy.' He thought, his hands idly brushing along his slightly curved abdomen.
"Sora..." Riku said from behind his lover, hands stuffed nervously into his pockets. "I'm really sorry about earlier. I shouldn't have taken my anger out on you. You don't deserve that."
Sora turned to face his lover, a smile on his face, "It's alright." He said, stepping closer to Riku, "Just next time, keep the baby in mind, okay? I don't need the extra stress."
"I promise to try and remember that," Riku nodded. He knew it would be hard though because once he got as mad as he had earlier, he was like a runaway train. It was very hard for him to calm down. "I think... that we should leave as soon as possible. I really need to get away from here."
Sora nodded, "My appointment's tomorrow, we can starting planning after that's done." He said, taking his lover's hand, "Let's go get some sleep."
With a nod, Riku brought their joined hands up to his mouth and kissed Sora's fingers. He was really tired himself.
Sora smiled at his lover before tugging him towards their room. Of course, Sora understood that there were many dangers ahead of them. But, the way he saw it, if you paid too much attention to all of the problems you'd miss out on all of the good things this could bring.

Lukki: You’re first review nearly made me tear up. I never had a person just make an account to review one of my stories. I’m glad you enjoy my mpreg story, even though it’s not your style.
And to everyone else, thank you so much for your reviews. Keep it up and I’ll keep writing, though, I must forewarn you: Chapters will be even more sparse now because I’ve finally caught the fanfiction up to where the rp left off.
