"Daaaaaad! We're heading out to the Great Bay!" Ester had packed some bread and dried meats for the trip, and headed out with Chance after a very restful night. "So... about last night..." Ester looked sheepish again, though this time she smiled, "No telling anyone about it!"

Chance nodded. After all, Link would kill him if he knew they had kissed in Ester's bed.
"Hold on, I'll be right there!" Link shouted, thankfully not hearing the words Ester had said to Chance. As he approached them, he had a mask in his hands that was in the shape of a Zora's head. "I will be accompanying you both this trip. After all, this is Lulu we're talking about. Do you have the ocarina and the song I gave you?"
Chance shrugged and snapped, donning the Zora tunic once more, this time without an embarrassing transition in between the change of clothes. "So what's the mask you've got there do?" he asked while they began the trip to the Great Bay. Link looked at him strangely, but decided to answer anyway. "It allows me to inhabit the spirit and body of Mikau. I even retain his musical and combat abilities. That's the upside to the song I gave Ester. It isn't just another mask. It literally gives you their memories so you can act accordingly, while retaining your own so you don't do anything stupid."
Chance laughed. "But you did do something stupid! I can tell by the tone in your voice. That, and the fact that the other night you pulled Ester aside and wouldn't tell me is all I need to know to deduce that you messed something up!" Turning to Ester, he asked, "So what did he do, anyways?"

Ester couldn't help but let out a groaning sigh, hearing her father call after them. "Damn it..." she muttered to herself. As great as it was to go on an adventure with her dad after hearing about so many of his heroic adventures, but after the previous night, she just wanted to be Chance and her. She had heard all about the mask, though the thing with Lulu was rather new to her, especially the part about her half siblings.
Ester slipped on her own Zora armor, giving a bored nod to what her father told Chance. Though, at the sound of Chance mentioning when they spoke in private, and she gave him a look. "I'm not saying a word" she said simply, moving her thumb and index finger together across her lips, acting like she was zipping them up. "My dad can answer if he wants, otherwise, you're not going to get too far with him."

Chance sighed. It looked like he was just going to have to wait until they got to the Zora hall to find out what he wanted to know. as they entered the Great bay, Link sighed contentedly.
"Finally, back to the Hero business!" he said, donning the Zora mask he carried. Strangely, he didn't scream. He did show a slight bit of discomfort, however.
"Now then," He said in a completely different, very warbling voice that sounded almost as if a river were speaking, "Let's see if I can still fight, shall we?"
As he said this, the fins on his arms grew like retractable blades and he pirouetted towards an unsuspecting Leever. His arm sliced through it effortlessly like a blade, and he back flipped into a fighting stance. Observing his handywork, he smiled. "Yep, I still got it!"
Turning to Ester and Chance, he said "Shall we go to the Zora Hall, then?" and with that he ran toward the ocean and jumped 6 feet in the air, spinning midair and diving into the water.
Chance smirked "Well someone's anxious about seeing Lulu! It's like they're married or something!" he said, not realizing how right he actually was. jumping into the water, he forgot that he could breath freely in his current clothes and held his breath. A splash above his surprised him enough to gasp until he realized it was just Ester. "Heh, cool!" he said, following Link to the path leading to the Zora Hall.
When they arrived there, A Zora immediately stopped them at the entrance.
"Mikau! where the hell have you been? Lulu has been constantly asking to see you even in her current illness! And who are these two, anyway?" the Zora asked, pointing at Ester and Chance. "I brought them to help cure Lulu. They specialize in treating Zora ailments." Link replied
"We d- ouf!" Chance said as Link elbowed him in the stomach. "Very well, I'll take you three to her. Evan and Japas have been looking for you to update you on her condition, but they couldn't find you anywhere. Where've you been, man?"
At this point, the four arrived at a door and were led through it. all the band members aside from Mikau and Lulu herself, were crowded around a bed, which Lulu was lying on. There were also three younger boy Zoras and a young Girl Zora crowded around the bed.
"Mikau!" a sweet, melodic voice muttered as Link/Mikau walked up to his "wife's" side. the four younger Zora's ran over to him. "Daddy!!!" they said in unison. Chance smirked, finally understanding what Link's problem was and why he didn't want Ester to do this. Evan, the band's drummer, looked up and said "We couldn't find a cure... I'm so sorry Mikau."
Link/Mikau simply smiled. "Everyone out. I have found a cure, but it requires limited help, and I do not wish for you all to mess up the procedure."
Lulu smiled and nodded. the room slowly emptied of it's occupants until only the girl Zora child was left. "Please don't hurt mommy!" she said to Ester before leaving the room. Mikau nodded to Ester and chance took out the piece of... whatever it was that wasn't disintegrating underwater bearing the music notes. "Everything will be alright. just relax." Link/Mikau told Lulu.

Ester watched in amazement as her father fought with far greater skill and speed than she had ever fought with. "Wow..." she breathed, watching him dive into the water. Glancing over at Chance, she fidgeted, uncertain if she should reveal what her dad was hiding. But, before she could answer, Chance had already dove in. Ester simply shrugged, then jumped in after them. It was odd, being able to look around at fish swimming past you AND being able to breath freely.
The Zora's home was beautiful. At least, it was to Ester. She paused, not knowing what to say when she was called a 'Zora expert' but her dad seemed to tell the lie quite well. She walked with the men, still very curious about the customs and ways of the Zora that her father hadn't told her. And then, she saw Lulu.
Lulu was the perfect specimen of the female Zora that Ester thought she would ever see. A very beautiful being, the girl from the surface could hardly see how she was so deathly ill. At the sight of Link, her eyes lit up and Ester couldn't help but stare. She was so pretty. Then, the children. Ester had to bite her tongue. So these were her stepsiblings... Though they resembled her father in his Mikau form, she couldn't help but feel a bit betrayed. She knew well of the time, even before he was her age, just a few years younger, he had changed the dying Mikau into a mask with the very ocarina she held in her hands. Mikau was in such a deep relationship with Lulu that Link had no choice but to go through marriage and even childbirth with the Zora woman. But still... Ester's mother had died when Ester had lived, and Link was willing to keep this a secret from her?
Suddenly, the shrill sound of the little girl Zora made Ester choke up. She didn't want to do this! If they weren't surrounded by salt water, tears would have been slowly making their way down her face right then. "I...I don't think I can do this..." she murmured, looking at the sheet music sadly. Slowly, she inhaled, and pressed the ocarina mouth piece to her lips. Out came an eerie melody as Ester scanned the page. The Zora on the bed slowly closed her eyes, breathing her last breath, and her body faded, leaving only a mask behind. The tune faded from the room, and Ester bit her lip hard, trying not to cry.
