Vampire's Kiss

My, oh my! Time surely passes so quick, isn't? xD So, didn't noticed how Vampire Killer is now 1 year old ^^ (June 1st) So, surely, to this very day this project is the one I'm proud the most as well as enjoying working on it. W-well, I wanted to prepare something special for this anniversary, but hopefully this should be enough to celebrate this occasion! >///<' My, to be honest, if it wasn't for recent discovery of Noel's theme song (Bullet Dance) having a vocal version...Oh dear, and it was vocals of Calamity Trigger version! -//^//- (aaaah~ I think that once again I'm in love with Daisuke Ishiwatari's music...again *siigh* too bad there were no vocal for Catus Carnival, but Rebelion and Under Heaven's Destruction were good too!!!!) So, now ''Love so Blue ~Blue Heartbeats~'' is responsible that this chapter is like it is now.

It is the same night. Everyone is asleep aside from one vampire, who is already fed up being the only one awake.

There is nothing to do! It’s too boring!

Even that hunter is resting while leaning against the bed frame.

Why does this human have to act like this? He could have picked a better place to sleep. Besides, I’m fine and don’t need to be protected. Humans are sure weird and too complicated creatures. Kyo wonders while observing the vampire hunter.

Anyway, since no one is going to pay attention to the brunette, he has to find a way to kill some time.

Besides, he feels an urge to stretch out and wants to know where he was staying all this time.

After getting up and finding his white jacket, he puts it on and decides to take a better look at his new surroundings.

Surely, it’s so refreshing outside the hut, and being greeted by the breeze that rustles the tree leaves is so relaxing and liberating.

After looking around, the brunette notices that this place is surrounded by the forest.

However, he can only vaguely recall how he got there before his vision eventually blacked out.

Yes, he can remember what happened in the abandoned storage and how Yagami was carrying him somewhere. But after that, he can only recall bits and pieces before passing out.

Another outstanding detail he recalls was the hunter’s voice, which was far too loud and constantly yelling.

Then, the sweet taste of the mysterious liquid awakened something distant yet familiar inside him. It was so cold and frightening when he was in the darkness, and then…

Right now, Kyo widens his eyes and starts roughly breathing.

As he shivers like a leaf and hugs himself, his mind sinks into the deeper corners of his memory.

He can swear that back then, there was another being inside him, and it was striving to survive at any cost and take over his body.

That creature was cold and unforgiving, wanting him to be dead.

Just before losing consciousness, Kyo could see these glowing crimson eyes staring at him in the never-ending darkness.

Could it be that the vampire was already too weak that his instincts finally reacted? Or was it an illusion caused by his exhaustion? Probably, probably not.

However, it seems he is back to normal, and who knows how it could have ended if Yagami hadn’t interfaced?

At the moment, Kyo only shakes his head and sighs.

When he leans against the nearest wall of the hut, he stares at the night sky, which is in the light purplish and dark blue.

Now, he wonders whether that was just a bad dream.

Even so, every time he takes long naps, they are mostly dreamless. That’s right, a slumber for the nocturnal creature is more or less like switching him off until his body restores enough energy and wakes him up.

However, the vampire doesn’t have any sense of time and cannot predict when he’ll wake up. It can be a couple of weeks or months – it’s difficult to tell each time.

That’s why, like any other creature of the night, Kyo has to look for a safe spot for his slumber before humans may find any trace of his existence. Then he can worry about petite details, like returning his sense of time.

In any case, the brunette is about to return to the hut, but the opening door startles him.

Apparently, a certain redhead is outside. But now, he addresses the vampire. “There you are. Were you looking for trouble again?”

When Iori leans his back against the wall close to Kyo, he crosses his arms and calmly observes the moon.

While the brunette enjoys the same view as the hunter, he replies. “I thought you were asleep, human. Besides, I just wanted to stretch out. That’s all.”

Now, Kyo turns his head toward the vampire hunter and asks him in a shyer tone. “Hey, Yagami, why are you doing this? Erm, it’s nothing that I’m not thankful for what you did for me. But how can you be so sure that I may get my powers back? Your effort might be futile and you may die in vain…”

Without looking back, the red-haired male explains with confidence. “You will. I know you will. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have wasted my time on you. So, first, we’re going to look for a suitable weapon for you.”

However, Kyo fires back in a more daring tone. “Eh?~ Why do I need one? Just because I cannot use my flame right now, it doesn’t mean that I cannot use my nails and fangs!”

When the brunette faces the hunter, he stretches his sharp nails and shows them to this man.

Iori only looks at the nocturnal creature and responds with mild annoyance. “And then you end up under someone’s foot again. I cannot rescue you each time just because you don’t know how to protect yourself, you stupid vampire.”

Such an answer genially surprises the brunette.

However, even if he tries to keep his cool, it fails, and he indignantly replies. “Mind your own business! I would have won if that bastard didn’t back-stab me.”

After Kyo stands in front of the vampire hunter, he puts his hands into his jeans pockets and thrusts his chest forward.

Now, he declares. “However, you better take care of yourself! I don’t want you to be killed by anyone else. So, you better stay alive until I’ll get stronger and show you your place!”

Surely, that stupid vampire never ceases to amaze him. Or so the redhead is convinced yet again.

When Iori closes his eyes, he delightfully smiles. “So, you have finally decided to take it seriously. You better not forget these words, vampire.”

Kyo briefly turns his head away and lowers his gaze before looking at the hunter seriously. “At least this is the only way to beat answers out of your stubborn head. So, you better have prepared a good reason for your strange behavior, you stupid idiot!”

Now, he only impatiently waits for the wanted answer.

However, Iori immediately replies. “Then do not seduce me with your vampire charms, you stupid vampire. You won’t win by cheating.”

Suddenly, the brunette withdraws and defends himself. “What the hell are you talking about? I couldn’t even move a single muscle, and then I was sleeping all this time. So, how do you think could even touch you? But then, who knows what else you have done to me while I was unconscious?”

After fixing his shirt, the vampire approaches Iori and tauntingly swooshes his hair.

When the brunette makes such a smug face, he adds in a nearly singing voice. “Be glad that along with my flame, I also lost my voice. Otherwise, our first meeting could have been your last one~”

After cornering the hunter with his arm, Kyo reveals his vampire fangs. “That’s right, you would have been under my control. Being unable to move while having clear mind – it would suit you perfectly, hunter.”

Delightfully closing his eyes and taking a deep breath, Kyo adds. “However, since I’m not interested in killing my prey, I only I take a better sip until my hunger is gone. No more, no less~”

However, with very little that he knows, Iori may be one step ahead of him.

Thus, he grips the vampire’s other hand and pulls him closer.

The brunette only widens his eyes and becomes speechless.

The next second, Iori slams him against the wooden wall, making the vampire grunt.

Unfortunately for the nocturnal creature, it doesn’t end just here.

When Kyo is pressed against the wall, he feels his arm is getting locked behind him.

It doesn’t help him either that the hunter is so close to him that his body is nearly pressed against him.

Now, Kyo hears the red-haired male addressing him in a strict tone. “You talk too much. Don’t waste your time like that when you are facing your opponent.”

Even when Iori rests his head on the vampire’s shoulder, his hair tickles Kyo’s neck.

After a pause, the hunter comments. “It seems relying on your power alone only made you lazy and arrogant. So, we need to fix that as well.”

Meanwhile, getting crushed under this foolish human’s grasp reminds the brunette that he is not strong enough to face Iori as a worthy opponent.

However, he is determined to defeat the vampire hunter and make him go through the same treatment as he did.

After releasing Kyo’s arm, Iori hugs him with one arm. While holding the vampire’s cheek with the same hand, he makes his partner face him.

Finally, their eyes meet, and neither one of them can remove their gaze from each other.

While the vampire looks with bewilderment, the hunter studies his captured target.

Now, the same hand that corners Kyo is resting on his chest and gently slides down to his waist.

The vampire shivers from such a simple touch of this man, but he doesn’t remove his eyes from him.

Surely, that gaze alone sets the brunette on fire.

At that moment, Kyo blames himself because of how his body works and is more sensitive when he is in this form.

He realizes Yagami might be just messing with him and using Kyo’s vampire nature to his advantage.

However, the dizziness wins, and he cannot resist or even think straight anymore.

The brunette nervously swallows the saliva at how Iori’s face is so close to his.

To his surprise, the vampire hunter keeps his face as if it is nothing.

In the end, Iori calmly confesses. “You are mine and you are not allowed to die on my watch. I won’t forgive anyone who dares to touch either. And if I die, I’ll take you together to my grave. So, you better remember it.”

Kyo least expected such honesty from the reserved hunter, but he only watched him.

The moonlight is shining brightly, and after a breeze rustles the leaves, Iori continues in a deeper tone. “It’s all your fault, vampire. So, take your responsibility.”

Without hesitating, Iori presses his lips against the brunette’s.

Surely, it makes Kyo widen his eyes and slowly close them.

It feels like time is frozen at that moment.

However, Kyo doesn’t push him away and wants to stay like this for a while.

Yes, he is already drunk by this new sensation and slowly starts melting in the same spot.

However, soon, the redhead withdraws his face and observes his partner.

It seems the vampire is still out of this world, and it makes Iori chuckle. “Don’t let your down so easily, you stupid vampire.”

After fixing the collar of his shirt, the hunter continues in his usual tone. “Let’s go back already. Besides, I’m too tired to chase after you again.”

However, only now does Kyo return to his senses and realize what happened.

Now, he frowns and follows the hunter into the hut. “Oi, Yagami! What was that all about? Come back, you coward! I’m not done yet! Don’t think that you can run away like this!”

When Iori is inside, he crashes on the bed and covers himself with a blanket, murmuring. “… Just stay quiet, you stupid vampire. You are way too loud.”

Even if the brunette keeps trying to get Iori’s attention by poking him randomly or calling him – nothing works, and his hard effort is ignored.

There is no way that this stupid hunter will get away from me! I swear I’ll make him pay… somehow.

But for now, Kyo sits on the floor and leans his back against the bed's edge, patiently waiting until Iori wakes up.

Anyhoo, and thus along with adding a new tag, I hope you enjoy this chapter as well and I do hope to see you even on 2nd anniversary ^^

It was the same night and right now everyone were asleep aside one vampire, who seem to be fed up with staying awake. There was nothing to do! It's too boring! Even that hunter was deeply asleep despite that he was leaning against the bed. Why does this human have to act so stubbornly like this? He could have picked better place for sleeping…Besides, Kyo was fine and doesn’t need to be protected all the time. Humans are sure weird creatures and just too complicated - wondered this brunette while silently observing this hunter. Anyway, since no one is going to pay attention to him, this vampire has to find a way how to kill some time. This Kusanagi feels a small urge to stretch out, besides he was curious where he was all this time. So, this brunette decides to have a walk and now once he puts his white jacket, Kyo takes a better look at his new surroundings.

Surely, it was so refreshing outside the hut and being greeted by the breeze, which rustled tree leafs was relaxing. However, this brunette keeps trying to get this redhead’s attention either by poking him randomly, either keep calling him - nothing helped and this vampire’s hard effort was ignored. There were no way that this stupid hunter now gets away from this nocturnal creature. Kyo swore that he would definitively make him pay…somehow. But for now he sits down and leans against the bed and patiently waiting until Iori wakes up.

I have written smut with nearly poker-face like it's nothing yet a more touching moment and now being a melted mass of goo? Oh dear...Anyway, I need to cool my mind and now I'm going to revive another forgotten project. That's right twin drama gonna return with 2 Kyos story, cos damn, I missed this one T^T and now wondering if I improved, even if it is a tiny bit since last time updating it.
