"wait there cap. we are chased by Gallia, our own fucking birthplace, almost died in process, now we were asked to aid them?" grumble Felix once Kurt announce the mission
"i know. but if this wasn't sent by commander Crowe, i won't bother" said Kurt
"how do you know that? it could be forged" said Imca
"yes but he do what he hate most in report. see?" Kurt let them see the handwriting
"man...is he do this on purpose?" ask Anastagi
"apparently he tend to get each uppercase in wrong place and this somehow turn into habit and which is why i know this is him" said Kurt
"but that could be easily copied. the style i mean" frown Imca
"yes but when you see this kind of letter on my table for example, would you think this is my handwriting or the one who gave me?" ask Kurt
"good point. false impression" said Imca with nod
"alright, get ready, we gonna capture ragnite mine fast"
The mine location is rather isolated but thankfully wasn't very far from where 422 at.The mine formerly owned by Gallia but it was captured when 422 squad doing the mission to Ashlone long time ago. Now the Gallia seems to get upperhand aside from the bioweapon case, they need more resource which is where 422 come in. This is the first time operation on this kind of terrain. Ragnite may be used as medical mean but with hours of tinkering, that source is capable to blow a city. It also noted that ragnite is the vital part for the tank to move.
"we can't bring heavy armor with us here. Anastagi, take the lead. Serge, watch our back" said Kurt
"pardon captain, but we gonna head into tunnel right? how we suppose to launch operation in that kind of dark place?" ask Serge
Kurt shake his head "on contrary, we may easily spotted instead"
They going in through the passage that goes through forest. As they enter, the darkness is covering them but only for short while. As they reach the mining point, they are exposed to the light. It surprise them as they feel vulnerable. The ragnite shine as the mean of source of light. Going more deep, they found the activity inside.
"shit, we got miner here. are they civil?" ask Anastagi
"yes. based on report"
"Kurt! you gotta see this!" said Riela
Taking a look at binocular, Kurt cursed. The very army they gonna fight is Gallia. As things not end up more difficult, there's also Raven patroling the spot.
"shit, we gonna threesome with them!?" said Felix
"i fear we must"
"hey! cap! another quick update here!" said Alfons
Kurt taking another look. There, he see some Darcsen miner being kicked by Gallia regular. But that won't do well for Raven as they start to fight at each other before breaking up. This giving Kurt idea.
"they lack in coordination. seems Gallia army dislike for Darcsen is still there. we could do something about that..." Kurt nod
"are you gonna use the Darcsen for this operation?" Ask Imca with frown
"yes but also no. i need 56 for this and..."
The Raven patrol the perimeter with high alert. At some point, they watch the miner works but most of the time they also wary of regular presence. It's unclear why they even work together in this place. The Darcsen prejudice is drawing a big rift and now they working (forced) together. It is not rare to see miner received beating for no reason or fight between two forces. Now Kurt gonna use that. When two Raven patrol passing by at mine corner, they discover 2 miner and 3 regular. One of the miner seems to drag other one while the three regular keep watching.
"HEY!" shout one of patrol "what the fuck you guys-"
"shit! we spotted!" said one of regular
The patrol approaching and see for themselves a horrible sight. A dead Darcsen were dragged by other one who seems have suffer a severe beating. Furious, they push the regular and start intense fight. The miners, who actually Imca and Deit as the fake corpse, looking for the moment when the fight is out of line sight and move away slowly but for Deit, he was told to stay. As the fight intense however, one of regular pull a gun. Realizing his company gone too far, other regular tried to stop it and end up shooted at.
"shit!" shout the one with a gun
"HEY WHAT'S GOING ON BACK THERE!" shout other watch who heard echoing gun
The three regular, Anastagi who get shot, Felix and Giulio who pull out the gun now ready for the last plan. The two run away, leaving Anastagi acting as if he got hurt.
"fuck! what the fuck dark hair!" shout one of regular patrol
"hey! that..." they point at corpse aka Deit
"you dark hair asshole! pulling guns just for this!?"
The Raven bark "this!? this is our comrade you fucker! and this bastard friend of yours kill him!"
"zip it!"
"Kurt, they seems to bite and pulling gun at each other now..." report Anastagi
"are you in safe position?" ask Kurt
"yeah, one of them regular pull me out of the fight. thankfully he didn't bother to check my fake blood and proceed to be trigger happy"
"what about Deit?"
"i see him being dragged by Raven"
The mine now full of echoing gunfight. The miner began to panic as the fight now spreading to their area. On this phase, Kurt told his squad to evacuate every miner out of here. It's somewhat hard as they only trust Raven but seeing their Nameless uniform, and Kurt convince them they are associate of Raven, they finally follow. As the number of miner cease, they finish the leftover aka the two tongued squad and Raven. The fight wasn't last long as the two cleared them up in the first place. One of the regular officer were caught alive and being interrogated. As it turn out, they are indeed regular army yet they are on other agenda for someone else. When Kurt ask if it was Isler or Emperor, the officer smirk.
"he is greater than that poor excuse of power"
A greater force? It's another question for Kurt. Who are these guys work for? Why regular was involved? Kurt proceed to ask why they work with Raven, knowing the Darcsen prejudice will get in the way. The officer admit he also confused though he did suspect to prevent Darcsen miner killing as they are needed in the process. This brought another attention to Kurt.
"where those Darcsen come from?"
"...Empire..."
This complicate matter. Now they got three in one. All of them against 422 presence and each other. What kind of dirt play is going on? Kurt decide this is enough and tell Anastagi to let him go. He grumbled as he did so however.
"three force with us as middle man. this is not good captain. even if we destroy one, this only benefit other to claim Gallia. If we kick empire, that unknown forces gonna have big space to run amok inside Gallia and Raven just simply watch as their mission complete itself. If we kick that mysterious force it only serve Raven an open path to take as we do their side job and could go full force to Gallia, Empire don't need to do a thing as Raven is part of them in the first place. If we kick Raven, it give Empire idea to run their mouth that we Gallian is bloodthirsty, not to mention bioweapon incident to boost it and make them look slightly better and we got civil war! though i don't see the profit for the unknown force in case the latter happen" said Alfons dropping the paper to the table and sigh
"why the unknown force got benefit if we attack Empire?" ask Annika
"based from the officer statement, apparently they are not among one of the forces. however it seems Raven presence is another excuse from Empire to stop their suspicious move. maybe we're not the only one who got two tongued soldier running around. If that's the case, empire is count as their obstacle but don't want to open fire to them for a reason only know to them"
"end of story, Gallia still screwed one way another. is this country really this mess or i just slept too much back on prison?" frown Anastagi
"maybe yours better than this i bet" said Felix "still, if Gallia are screwed as you said, what can we do now?"
"doing what we do best" said Kurt "be the only one left to survive"
