The silver-haired newcomer sprang out of bed and grabbed a dagger, waving it protectively in front of him. "Easy now," Jack Sparrow coaxed, moving cautiously toward the newcomer. "I'm not gonna hurt you. Just give me the knife like a good lad." He dodged and weaved, playing a cat and mouse game with the new arrival until he was close enough to grab the knife from his hand. "I'm guessing by the look of you, that you're Sora's friend." Jack suggested. "The one he called Riku." These words calmed Riku down at once. This man knew Sora, and he sounded like a friend. Riku nodded. "Well, Riku," Jack replied. "I don't know if Sora told you about us, but I'm Jack Sparrow, Captain of this here ship, the Black Pearl. And this is my crewman, Will Turner. Elizabeth will probably wake up soon, so I think that before we do anything else, we should find you some clothing to wear." "Indeed you should," said Elizabeth, who despite her stern voice still had enough lady about her to blush when she saw Riku's nudity. "Well, are you going to just stand there and stare at him, or are you going to check the cabins and see if you can find something for him to wear." "I remind you," Jack said evenly, "that this is my ship." "Then, my Captain," Elizabeth returned, "might I suggest that you run it?" Jack rolled his eyes. "Will Turner, earn your supper and check the holds. There must be something he can wear. For now, as it my duty as Captain to see to the comfort and safety of my crew." He took his vest off and removed his shirt. "Tie this round your middle until Will gets back with more suitable clothes." he said. Riku took the shirt and tied it around his hips to cover those far more pertinent aspects of his nudity. "Why did you have no clothes?" Elizabeth inquired. "Maleficent caught me while I was searching for a cure for a coma that Kairi seemed to be in," he explained. "She led me to believe that by performing a certain ritual, I could reawaken Kairi. I went along with her until the King's voice came to me and I learned from him what she was actually doing to me." "And then you got away and came here?" "No," Riku shook his head. "She called her allies in and then subdued me. They overpowered me as a group, a feat none of them could do on his or her own. And when I was unable to free myself, Maleficent forced me to father her child." "How awful," Elizabeth sympathized, "She sounds more like a beast than a woman." "Indeed," Jack agreed. "I'm normally one for free-spirited lasses, but this Maleficent sounds like the type who takes a freshly ripened lad, uses up that freshness, and discards what's left." Will returned a short while later with a set of clothes. "They'll be a bit large, but they'll have to do until we reach the next port." Riku accepted the clothes gratefully and followed Elizabeth to one of the cabins where the crew, when there had been a full crew, slept. "You go ahead and get dressed in there," she pointed to one of the cabins. "You can use that room to sleep in until we can find Sora." "I'll never see him again, will I?" Riku asked. "There's no way for him to get here." "There must be," Will told him. "You got here, after all," agreed Jack.
