Just a Painting

Author's Notes:
Well, I don't think people will like this chapter, but it carries the story. Next chapter will have sexy time.
Only a Painting

When I returned the next afternoon, I found that Tails had already come back. It was obvious at the start due to the trail of rose petals leading to the bedroom. I followed the fading red path, and found that Tails obviously expected me sooner. He lied there, wearing only his fur. His double sheath held the early signs of erections, and I crawled onto the bed and collapsed next to him. I watched his face when he opened his eyes.
I felt him stare at me and panicked slightly. Would he notice the change of expression, the difference in my scent, or would he pass it off as the smell of a bar? Could he, oh, would he notice the smell of sweat, the smell of ecstasy and adrenaline rush which pumped through me in my nervous breathing? IT was all I could do, I panicked, my heart beat fast, and surely it was loud enough that he heard it!

I felt his hand move, lift as his arm took it. I closed my eyes, briefly to blink, opening them up to see the arm by my face, but no slap. He began caressing my cheek. His touch tender and trusting. I felt secure, safer now. I knew I was safe, whether it be he did the same or did not notice, I was unsure. However, I thought the former to be impossible, he could never cheat on me, though I did him.

I took from my side, a leash, and strapped it to his collar, which can’t be taken off. I pulled him close, and kissed him with absolute domination. I wanted him to love me again, though he had never stopped. Maybe, I realized, maybe I am attempting to make myself love him again. Impossible, for I have never stopped loving, caring, wanting him. I have this crave, this hunger for my fox, the one I had known forever.

His wet tongue met mine, and fought back. He pushed me back, and I choked him lightly with a tug of the leash. I pushed him on his back, which surprised him, I was not usually so forceful. I then said to him, “Forgiveness is valuable, do you really think you can afford?”

“Can you?” He replied quickly. I froze, what did he mean, did he know and not care? Nevertheless, I continued to maintain my dominance act, and I started to jostle his furry balls with my paw.

I thought quickly and found a suitable reply, “Do you wanna be curt when I have these in my hand?” I enquired, tauntingly tugging his sack. Suddenly, his words hit me again as I looked into his baby blue eyes. I let go of the leash, and stopped straddling his hips. He gave me a confused look before asking me what was wrong.

“Nothing, I am just tired. I nursed a bit of vodka all last night, so I am just tired.”

“Oh,” Tails began, “Kinda of what I did. I suppose we could always play later.” Finished the orange fox, attempting an advance on the hedgehog.

“Maybe.” I provoked, getting up swiftly. Tails only watched me leave as he sat on the blue and orange comforter.

I wandered around the house, aimlessly. I eventually found myself in my office and decided to do some work. I was an artist who sells their work to a buyer. I was ok I suppose, I was closer to amateur, but I lived in this city because some of its people are fans of my work. I sat at my desk, and started sketching ideas for paintings.

I really like my first idea, I drew a very innocent Tails on a leash. He was begging like a dog in the sketch, his tongue out panting. I thought of having him with an erection, and changing his expression to more of a beg, but I figured people might prefer a helpless innocent. My second idea was a rushed version of an obviously under age racoon sipping whiskey.

My third idea, however, took me by surprise. I was so impressed with it on paper, that I stopped sketching and stood. I walked quickly to a canvas, picking it up and setting it on the easel in the corner. I took a brush and several paints from my desk and started with a dab of blue and black to mix a navy blue. I took the mix, and spread it into a window, leaving a white diagonal line to give a glass effect. I then went back with pure white, and sprinkled out several stars at random. Then I lightly traced building outlines in the window. I left it there, and continued to the rest.

I traced in a bed, a night stand at one end, and the top shown on the far end. I drew a lamp on each, and I put a large secretary at the opposite end of the painting. I kept the lights off, which would erase a need for most shadows. I decided against this, and placed a light outside the window to explain the streak on the glass. I painted, lightly, a red floor and then drew shadows of an undrawn scene there. I went back, over the paint to correct slight errors.

Finally, I went to the main scene; my breathe becoming heavy with each stroke. I dipped my brush into the paint, and traced the scene: Two hedgehogs locked in love. The idea, the passion, hitting too close to home. I stroked red over black, and then bage over blue. I finished, but in a motion, I made a truthful alteration, a black line from the blue’s hand to the neck of the other.

I jumped suddenly when I heard a certain critique: “I dunno, I prefer a Tails hedgehog combination.”

“T-tails . . . ” I said, nervous.

“I’m sorry,” He said, “I hope I didn’t interrupt a surprise.”

“No . . . not at all.” I regained my heart’s normal pace, and had to force myself to breath. “I just got an idea from a sketch I started and felt I should make it quickly.”

“It is really detailed. Did we ever go to a hotel?”

The fox could be ever so observant. No, I had not I could answer. But that would not explain why I know it. I thought of a turn around and so I replied, “No, have you?”The fox laughed. He just laughed. My face burned with annoyance. I just couldn’t stand the fox. “But if you must know, I went once when I was younger.”

The fox had been edging ever closer, and finally jumped in my arms. I dropped everything and caught him, letting him straddle me. “Then, I think we should take a visit, so I can see one.” His forehead touched mine as he looked deep into my emerald eyes, and I felt weak. I melted, and only uttered to him that we should.

“Then let’s go tonight, we can sell this on the way.” He indicated by pointing loosely at my latest creation.

“NO!” I yelled before I could stop myself.

“Why . . . ?”

“Um, well, I thought you liked it so . . . I was going to keep it.” I could feel the invisible hand scribble ‘liar’ all over my face. Tails gave me a clueless look, and then responded, “Thanks Sonic, that is sweet.” I sighed quietly before having my arm pulled toward the fox. He locked lips with him, and I just couldn’t fight today.

Something was wrong, I just wasn’t excited with my fox for some reason. Could I have fallen for a dark angel in one night? Perhaps, but how? I love Tails, and that Bad Boy, he was just a weekend lover, not a friend. I thought I would never need him again, and now, I think I want to see him.

I shook my hand, and rubbed my temple with my left hand. “Are you all right?” He asked me, rubbing my shoulder. “You seem upset . . .”

I apologized, and then took a drape from a pile in the corner. I covered my work and took Tails by the hand. “So, we need your leash, and for you to get dressed. How about you get ready, I need to make a quick call.”

I watched him go out the door, and I took a phone. Earlier that morning, I started to sneak out of the hotel. However, the Bad Boy had woken up and pulled me back. “Listen,” I started to say, but he cut me off. He took a pad and pen the staff left on the night stand, and wrote down a number.

He tore the paper from the pad, and handed it to me. “Is this your number?” I asked quickly.

“My cell.” He responded, “In case you want to get tea sometime.” Tea? I remembered thinking. Of course, I must have mentioned to him my distaste for coffee at some point.

I pulled the number from my pocket and stared at it. I dialed it in after careful consideration. It rang once. What would I say? How will I respond when he answers? It rang a second time. Finally, it rang a third time, and it stopped short, cut by a quick, “Hello?”

I froze, for the second time today. What do I do? I managed to push a “H-hi . . . ” from my lips.

“I didn’t think you would call so soon.”
He recognized my voice. Did he want me to call? “Yeah, I um, just wanted to tell you that, I would like to take you up on that offer” What was I doing? I know, I wanted to have a friend, just a friend. I calm down.

“Oh yeah, sure. Let me see, I am busy today. How about tomorrow around lunch?” I wonder if he is as nervous as I am. I just want to have him as a friend, so why am I nervous. I started to rethink what I was doing. I considered hanging up and blocking his number, but he would think I’m a freak. I had to go.

“Sure, there is this really modern café on Pseudo Street. Meet you there ‘round twelve, kay?”

“See you then.”

I hung up the phone, realizing I was shaking slightly. Tails came back in, looking hot in an outfit that peaked my fetish. He was on all fours, tails spiraled. He wore short, tight leather shorts, and a net shirt. The shorts showed a detailed outline of his double sheath and furry sack. His blue eyes showed signs of sheer helplessness, and he held a leash in his maw.

I smiled, and walked over to him scratching behind his ears. I took the leash and tied it around his neck. I looked at him and smiled. He looked up at me as I did so, and then tugged him roughly. I led him from the room to the front door. I told him to sit, and he did. His arms prevented my sight to look at his underside, but it was a beautiful view, despite. I opened the door, and he paraded out like the loyal pooch he was. I locked the door, and walked him to the same hotel I visited only the night before.

The house cat was there, and he gave me a look of suspicion to see me with a different animal. He did not argue this time, and winked at me as I took my fox up to our room. A different room today, room 12 on the 5th floor. We rode the elevator, and my fox was much more obedient then the wild hedgehog. We did not make out like I had the night previous, and I felt strongly like something had gone awry.

Once we in the room, he was all over me like a lion on deer. The fun was fun, but not as wonderful as the night before. I loved Tails, I really did, but I knew something was missing.
