As stated in the first chapter, this was once part of a project where the each chapter would be written by a different author. I had long since abandoned the project, but I don’t want to drop the story. This chapter was written by Lorelai Kline long before I decided to give up on the project so I will post it and continue the storyline after this. Enjoy!
Warning: Lor's versions of Albel, Nel, and Clair are a little OOC. I have long since been given permission to edit and tweak this chapter to better fit with the overall story. My version has Nel not as willing, but more 'damn, he's not going away so I might as well get it over with' attitude and she doesn't consider romance after the fact. Chapter 2

The Second Encounter

            Albel let out a string of curses so foul they could burn flesh. He violently slammed his claw against the wall of his private chamber in the Kirlsa Training Facility. He was frustrated and his hatred for the interfering engineers only grew with each painful throb that shot through his loins.
            He had almost claimed her! She was right there, squirming and writhing under him and WANTING him to claim her. The memory of her flushed face, with her beautiful purple eyes glazed over and begging for more and her lips pursed in a delectable pout, made him break into another bout of obscenities. He would kill those meddling maggots.
            Another pulse of agonizing heat coursed through his shaft and he groaned. He didn't want to succumb to pleasuring himself; He wanted the real thing and he almost fucking had it!
            He pressed his back against the wall he'd previously bashed with his gauntlet and slid down into a sitting position with his legs lazily splayed out in front of him. He grit his teeth and leaned his head back as he closed his eyes. In his mind he summoned images of the feisty and passionate Aquarian as he pleasured her.
            He thought about what things he would do to her given the chance. He smirked as he imagined her violet eyes staring hungrily at him and clouding over with lust. As he closed the fist of his good hand around the tip of his erection he swore he could hear her whimpering and moaning softly. His strokes sped up as he listened to the musical sound of her cries of pleasure that only got louder and more intense.
            A bead of pre-cum formed on the tip of his manhood when he heard her screaming his name. He, himself, was growling and unknowingly thrusting upward as he imagined himself plunging into her depths. He felt her juices spill out over him and heard her gasp his name out with a throaty groan.
            That did it for him and he barked out "Nel!" as the flood of semen he'd been holding in burst from his member. Albel didn't care about the mess as he reveled in the ecstasy of his release and groaned in a mix of pleasure and pain. As the fog of lust dissipated in his mind he had only one thought.
            "I must have her" he growled to himself as his hands curled into fists.

            Nel lingered behind her two companions as they headed for Arias. Instead of leading them there she opted for shouting directions at them from behind. It wasn't a very good method to use since her shouts were attracting monsters and her comrades were still pretty beat up.
            However, she had her reasons. There was no way she would let them see how flushed she was or how her usually swift and composed stride was now wobbly and undignified. Plus there was the matter that her nether regions were still wet and she was terrified that the scent of her arousal would carry on the wind that was blowing in their faces and give her away.
            She was absolutely humiliated even though Cliff and Fayt were still totally in the dark about her state of being. She was so ashamed of her body and its blatant betrayal. But the most embarrassing and absolutely torturous thing of all was that a huge part of her was dying to go back and let herself surrender completely to her seductive enemy.
            "Are you sure he didn't do anything to you? You seem kinda outta it, Nelly...." Cliff asked worriedly as he looked back at her from over his shoulder. Fayt had also looked back at her with his eyebrows knitted in concern.
            "I-I'm fine..." Nel squeaked, her traitorous mind displaying a vivid image of just all that Albel Nox had done to her.
            "Oh Apris..." She moaned hopelessly.
            They continued on like that and by the time they reached Clair's chateau Cliff was holding up Fayt while his own feet were dragging and Nel was trying to make the wobbling of her knees look like it was caused by exhaustion. Clair flung open the door and lunged at Nel, hugging her friend so tightly that bones could be heard cracking. Tynave and Farleen took Cliff and Fayt up to one of the bedrooms for healing and rest. Once everyone was out of earshot Clair stared at Nel with bewildered shock.
            "Oh Apris.... Nel.... You didn't.... Please tell me he didn't rape you" She choked as tears started pooling at the corners of her eyes. Nel shook her head "no" and heaved a deep sigh. There was no lying to Clair, nor any reason to. The silver-haired tactician made a sympathetic cooing noise and lead Nel into her private chambers for some serious girl talk.
            Once the door was shut Nel let go. The Crimson Blade was never emotional. She didn't cry or laugh or even bleed if you asked some people. However, once the door to Clair's room shut there was no Crimson Blade. Instead there was a woman who had been shaken by her entire world turning on its head.
            "Oh Nel..." Clair said sympathetically as she embraced her friend. She felt the dampness of Nel's silent tears soak through her shirt and tried not to start crying herself. While she had no idea just what had happened to her dearest friend she knew it had to have been utterly earth-shattering to have crumbled Nel Zelpher's invincible emotional shield. After a while the two sat down and Nel slowly told her best friend everything. Clair remained completely neutral as she heard Nel's story out.
            The two stayed up well into the night talking and once Nel was done telling her tale all her normal defenses were back in place and it was as if nothing had ever happened to her at all. Clair bit her lip and nodded solemnly in agreement with Nel's final statement before she left to get rest in the guest chamber.
            "I can't believe how much I've let this get to me. Of course I'd be attracted to him. He's a strong and handsome man who poses a challenge. It's only natural that the woman in me would yearn for him. It's nothing but lust and hormones. I'm stronger than this. I'm not going to lose myself again. It was just lust. Nothing more." Nel stated, though her voice was wavering and her eyes looked everywhere but Clair's eyes.
            Once Nel was out of the room and the door was firmly shut Clair continued to stare at the spot where the proud woman had just vacated. "I truly hope so" Clair whispered, her voice tinged with deep worry.

            It had been too long since Albel had laid eyes on the woman he desired. The whole ordeal of being teased and tormented by enticing fantasies of her had turned the wicked one sour. He had privately sent out a few scouts to trail the movements of the Aquarian spy under the guise of formulating a secret attack. In truth, Albel hated sending weaklings to do tasks he knew that he would excel at with ease. Unfortunately in his current state of restless desire he knew he couldn't trust himself to be in her presence for too long. One look at her and he felt as if he would mount her like some horny mongrel, the two engineers be damned if they saw. Albel raked his good hand through his two-toned hair in frustration and tapped the metal fingers of his claw against the hilt of his katana.
            "Lord Nox, I have news of your latest target!" Some worthless peon stated as he burst into Albel's PRIVATE chambers. The worthless soldier wilted under the red-eyed glare that was sent his way from the wicked one.
            "You had best be bringing me news I want to hear lest you be punished severely for storming into my quarters unannounced, maggot" Albel hissed. Though he was dying to teach the worm a lesson for barging into the chamber of Albel the Wicked the prospect of hearing about Nel kept his sword in its sheathe.
            "M-My apologies m-my Lord. Y-you are t-t-too g-gracious..." The soldier whimpered, looking on the verge of soiling himself.
            "Spit out what you must say and cease your mindless blubbering as you say it if you wish to leave my quarters unscathed" Threatened Albel, impatient to hear anything regarding Nel.
            "Y-Yes Sir! She and the engineers from Greeton as well as her two female subordinates are en route to the Bequerel mines for copper ore. There is talk of a weapon being created to turn the tables of the war!" The man cried, bowing his head.
            "Fine then. Now get out of my sight! Order all the scouts to focus all attention on surveillance of Castle Aquaria and all the workshops in the city." Albel barked.
            "B-But my Lord... Who will watch the movements of the Crimson Blade?!" The foolish soldier inquired.
            "I will, you bloody maggot!!! Now, is there anything else your feeble little mind must know before I run it through with my blade!?" Albel roared. his patience had run out with this particular idiot.
            "N-No SIR!!!!" The soldier squealed as he bowed and then fled to carry out Albel's orders. The men under Albel's command knew better than to report any of Albel's activities to others. Lord Nox kept his affairs private, and though some of his actions were subject to questioning no man dared do so for fear of his rank and his life.
            Albel paced his floor as he began to think. If Nel had a party with her it would be a challenge to separate her from the group. However, the mines did have a particular set of advantages. The tunnels were always dark and dragons bred and thrived there. What he needed was some way to corral the group into splitting up. He continued to formulate a plan as he gathered up supplies and saddled up a lum from the stables. A dragon would be faster, but currently there was still some bad blood between the creatures and the swordsman. Besides, a lum ride would give him more time to think. After briefing his subordinates and providing only the scantest of details he set out.

            Nel wiped her daggers clean with the ends of her scarf and set them back in their holsters. Fighting with only the faint glow of a lightstone was not a pleasant undertaking. Fayt had continuously stumbled into dragon nests, being too stubborn to administer the lightstone to either herself or Cliff. Cliff had wounded Fayt's pride by making a jab at the blue-haired boy needing spectacles to see and the temperamental teen was determined to prove the towering blonde wrong. Already too much had gone wrong with this escort mission and Nel was seriously considering a formal request to unload this chore on some other poor Aquarian, though she knew she'd never really let herself abandon this mission. The Crimson Blade never abandoned a mission.
            "Are we there yet?!" Cliff whined loudly, earning him a glare from Nel that he didn't need to see in the dark to know was burning a hole in the back of his head. The female of the trio had been cranky and the Klausian had only once made the grievous error of making light of Elicoorian menstrual cycles. It was a mistake that he knew without a doubt would be wise to never make again. (Not that that would stop him.)
            "Yeah... I'm pretty sure we're on the right track... I think we just make a left up-" Fayt's speech was cut off by the irritable roar of yet another juvenile dragon.
            "Apris lend me your strength" Nel prayed with exasperation as she wielded her daggers yet again and began chanting a fire bolt incantation. This was not a good day.

            Albel hoisted himself up onto the roof of the abandoned refinery and settled himself against the shabby tiles in a spot where he had a good vantage point while being concealed from view. He knew his way through the mines by memory and simply made his way through the passage with little trouble. At one point he'd heard the familiar sounds of a battle and knew from the voice that shouted "Firebolt!" that he was on the right track. Now it was just a matter of waiting for the group to go about their business and he would ambush them further down the trail. He had been furious when he's heard that Demetrio and a gaggle of soldiers had been dispatched to handle the threat of Lady Nel. Albel had a distinct feeling that the snake, Duke Vox, had somehow beaten the information of Albel's latest plot from one of his soldiers and sought to claim glory for himself.
            As Albel seethed from the thought of Vox a blur of magenta caught the corner of his eye. The Glyphian abandoned all thought of anything else as his eyes trained themselves of the form of his most desirable enemy. She was scolding the blue-haired boy from the looks of things as the blonde oaf watched with bemusement. He licked his suddenly dry lips as his eyes roved hungrily over the exotic runes that decorated Nel's creamy thighs. Albel momentarily thrilled in the idea of stripping her completely nude to inspect the rest of her form for any other runes to run his tongue over. Already his body was prepared to claim her there and then, but his sense was able to restrain his more primitive yearnings.
            The trio entered the refinery and the Captain of the Black Brigade nearly pouted until he remembered a particularly large opening in the roof that might offer him a glimpse inside. Cautiously he stalked over to the corner of the roof and stealthily peeked through. The interior was dingy and lighting was poor enough to where Albel could only see the outlines of bodies. Uninterested in what they were talking about he retreated back to his original spot and waited for his quarry to get on the move again.

            Nel had the distinct feeling of being watched as they made their way back to Aquios. For a spy that feeling was vital to pinpoint and react to, but the leader of the Secret Legion was so frazzled by the turn of events that she was having trouble honing the sense. Still, she remained on high alert as they trekked on. Earlier they had battled the pompous Demetrio and headed back to the refinery for a night of rest and recuperation. The minute they were back on the trail the feeling had bubbled up and it had been tugging on her mind the whole of the trip.
            A deep and dangerous laughter echoed from a few steps ahead of the group as Albel Nox stepped out into their path looking like the cat who ate the canary. One look at the devilish warrior sent a fresh wave of heat through Nel's blood and it was all she could do not to curse.
            "TYNAVE!!! FARLEEN!!!" Fayt cried with worry. Only after he'd said the names of her two friends did she notice them laying in the dirt at Albel's feet. Both of them were beaten and bloody.
            Suddenly Nel's blood was boiling for a totally different reason. She unsheathed her daggers and a firebolt chant was perched on the tip of her tongue. Cliff stepped up into her line of fire before she could act on her rage.
            "Dammit... They didn't get away..." He muttered.
            Albel let out another laugh. "I thought something interesting might be afoot. So we meet again, worms. I'm glad I decided to come out to play today" He stated playfully, his eyes never straying from Nel's, who had moved so that she could glare at him without Cliff in the way.     "What a pity we had to seize your precious cargo" he stated as he glanced over at the cart packed with copper. The two Aquarian women began to stir and groaned with pain. The purple-haired one, Farleen, was actually draped over the toe of one of Albel's boots. As she tried to say something to Nel he kicked her limp form away with disinterest.
            "Albel Nox! How dare you do this to my people!!!" Nel growled.
            "You mean these two? They resisted when we tried to commandeer the goods." Albel explained as he nudged Farleen with his toe. "I didn't even spare the two weaklings a second glance. It was Demetrio's lackeys who did all the damage you see. However, I suppose I am obligated to take responsibility seeing as they are Glyphian soldiers." Albel sighed dramatically as the two soldiers that had fled the earlier battle peeked out from behind their superior officer.
            "They didn't put up much of a fight. Dropped like flies before these two flunkies could even break a sweat" Albel mused with a dark chuckle.
            "You won't get away with this!!!" Nel shouted as she got into a fighting stance.
            "Oh, I wouldn't dream of it" he mocked. "Unfortunately there will not getting off the hook for free this time, my dear. I'm not through playing" he purred. "This time you may even give me a little sport".
            "Don't bet on that. We have a way of taking the fun out of things for our enemies!" Cliff stated as he and Fayt also sunk into fighting stance.
            "I'll be the judge of that! Now show me what you've got!!!" Albel egged them on. The two cowardly soldiers quickly rushed at the two engineers, having been ordered to leave the fighting with Lady Nel to Albel.
            He caught the blades of her daggers against the blade of his katana and shoved her back with his good hand. She was quick to regain her balance and lunged at him again, her blade swipes being parried by Albel's weapon. Pretty soon Cliff and Fayt were also attacking him. The two took over front line battling while Nel started chanting incantations. Albel dodged Fayt’s sword only to be hit with Cliff's fists. As he stumbled back from a fairly brutal right jab to the ribs he was knocked down by a barrage of fire bolts to his chest and abdomen.
            Albel glared up at them from his kneeling position with a bitter smirk. "You put up... a better... fight than I gave you credit for..." He wheezed before breaking into a fit of coughs.
            "Want some more?" Cliff taunted.
            "Gladly! I won't be defeated by the likes of YO-" Albel was cut off as his face contorted into a look of unbearable pain. "GAH!!!" He hissed as his katana fell limply from his hand.
            "Let's go..." Fayt said solemnly as he walked past the defeated soldier.
            Cliff balked at him and waved his arms animatedly. "HUH?!" He managed to blurt out.
            "We gotta get Tynave and Farleen to a doctor, fast. Besides, we've got the copper. No reason to stick around here..." Fayt said, looking directly at Nel as he said the last part.
            Nel's eyes widened for just a moment before she nodded and put her daggers back in their sheathes. "....Yeah... You're right" She said without any emotion in her voice.
            "Well yeah, sure, but shouldn't we take care of this l'il problem first?" Cliff asked as he gestured toward Albel.
            Fayt looked at Albel and shook his head. "It's just like he said... Easy wins have never been my style..." He said with a gleam of malice in his eye.
            Albel looked up into Nel's face and something in the expression on his face made her feel uneasy. She looked away from him and up at Cliff as the blonde started to laugh.
            "Ha! Yeah, I guess you're right. I don't much get my kicks from trouncin' weaklings myself..." He guffawed as he lifted Tynave and Farleen up to deposit them gently in the cart filled with copper.
            They began to walk down the path with Nel at the rear, looking over her shoulder at Albel's hunched frame. Once she realized that she'd been staring at him she quickened her pace to catch up with the others, unaware of the smirk that had blossomed across Albel's lips.

            Albel slowly picked up his katana and returned it to its sheathe as he stood and dusted himself off. He did a few quick stretches to warm up his muscles and listened intently to a hawk letting out a cry from where it was circling in the air above. That having been the signal he needed to carry out the rest of his plan, Albel took in a deep breath and then let out an anguished scream that echoed down the path. A few beats later a deafening blast went off and a large cloud of purplish smoke floated up from where the party of travelers had been headed. Albel smiled mischievously and began to saunter down the path to claim his prize.

            One minute Nel was turning around to look back in the direction of Albel's scream and the next her ears were ringing and she was face down in the dirt. She clumsily got to her feet and turned to look back at her comrades. A purplish fog was dissipating, leaving her head slightly muddled. At first she thought everyone was dead. They were strewn about completely immobile. She tucked her nose beneath her scarf and rushed over to check the person closest to her. Tynave was crumpled against the side of the mountain, the cart of ore having been knocked over and spilling her and Farleen out. Nel kneeled down and checked to see that yes, Tynave was indeed still breathing. Nel observed the rise and fall of the chests of the others before understanding that they must've triggered a booby-trap that exploded in knock-out draught.
            If she too had been standing around the cart and looking forward, Nel would also be unconscious. She mentally ran through all the details she knew about the potion. It was fast acting so if you weren't hit by the initial bout then the worst one would experience would be dizziness and disorientation. The regular effects of the draught usually resulted in unconsciousness that ranged from three to six hours. There was no counter-potion to negate the effects. The draught would have to run its course.
            "Perfect" Nel grimaced.
            "Of course it is. After all, I came up with the whole ingenious plan" Albel stated with pride. He had made himself comfortable lounging against a rock formation as he watched Nel get distracted by checking over her teammates. She glared up at him and rested her hands on the hilts of her daggers. Albel simply grinned as he stood up straight and held his hands up in a gesture of peace. "Now, now, no need for violence. I simply did it to buy us some quality time. After all, we have some important business to attend to" he cooed with a predatory gleam in his eye.
            "We have nothing!" Nel shouted as she pulled out her blades.
            Albel frowned and crossed his arms over his chest. "So you insist on it being THAT way, do you? I suppose I'll play along. I doubt I'd enjoy you as much if you made things easy"
            Albel hummed and shrugged as he suddenly lunged at Nel. Before she even had time to react her back was slammed firmly against the mountain side as Albel pressed into her body and held her there with his own. Her blades had fallen from her hands upon impact and she resorted to clawing at Albel's chest and shoulders with her fingernails, trying with all she had to fight him off.
            "Come now... You know we have something very special between us.... Lover" Albel teased with a hot whisper in Nel's ear. She continued to fight and cry out in indignation as he ground his hips into her and stared wickedly into her eyes.
            "NO!!!" She hoarsely screamed, but Albel was in his own world as he pulled down her scarf with his teeth to expose her throat and lapped his tongue over her pulse points. Nel was losing her inner battle and she knew it as she felt the wonderful pool of heat growing in her abdomen. He continued to grind against her, letting out a pleased groan here and there as her struggles occasionally caused just the right pressure to certain areas.
            "Mmmm... Stop fighting it. Just come with me and let me mark you as my own...." He whispered tenderly as he nuzzled the side of her neck.
            "N-no... I w-won't... I can't...." She whimpered softly as her eyes slowly began to drift closed.
            "Of course you can... Just shut your mouth and nod your lovely little head..." He cooed, nipping her collarbone through the fabric of her leotard.
            "I-I ca-" Nel began to argue, but her protests were cut off by Albel pressing his lips against hers. His kisses were fierce and demanding, then lazy and lingering as he ran his tongue over her bottom lip. His good hand was working wonders against her scalp as his fingers massaged her head and played with strands of her red hair. When he pressed his lower body into hers and she felt his solid erection digging up against her abdomen she knew she'd lost as her body let out a shiver of pleasure. She slowly nodded her head while he continued sucking and nibbling on her lips.
            He slowly untangled himself from her and took one of her hands into his own non-metallic hand.
            "Come with me then, Nel..." He said as he pulled her up the trail with him. She was tripping and stumbling as he dragged her behind his hurried pace. At one point she dug her heels into the dirt, having changed her mind, but he growled at her and yanked her forward.
            "I'll drag you if I must, woman!" He warned as she fought to keep up with his steps.

            The door to the abandoned refinery burst open as Albel pulled Nel in behind him and then shoved her onto the nearest bed. He slammed the rickety door shut behind him and bolted it to prevent interruption. Just as Nel was beginning to sit up he was upon her again, touching and tasting every inch of her that wasn't clothed.
            "Beg for me, woman" he ordered as he bit into her shoulder. She let out a cry that was a mixture of pleasure and pain as he growled and bit down harder. Her own hands were clawing at his back in desperation and her hips were meeting his in awkward thrusts.
            "Beg me to claim you as mine!" He barked as he pressed her back into the bed and held her there with his good hand while he ripped at the leather couplings that bound his claw to his mangled arm with his teeth.
            Nel's own hands reached up and she too fiddled with the clasps of the gauntlet until it fell to the dusty floor with a harsh crash. It went ignored as she looked at the limb that it covered with curiosity. All of Albel's previous intensity had burned out as he watched Nel look at his scarred arm. He had wrapped the mottled and charred skin with cloth, but the fabric had loosened and a bit of it had unwound all the way down to his elbow. The limb was utterly useless without the claw. Mechanisms in the gauntlet responded to certain muscle spasms. The limb itself was limp without any assistance.
            Nel's fingertips tentatively brushed against the raw skin and her own skin felt cool against his burned flesh. The hideous burn went from the very tips of his fingers, which were missing a good amount of flesh to where they looked almost skeletal, where it was blackened up to his shoulder. The burn's color gradually lightened as it crawled up his arm until it was his normal skin tone up around his shoulder. Nel tried to unwrap the rest of the bandage to see the skin below his elbow but his hand stopped her.
            "I'd rather you didn't see...." He stated, looking deeply into her eyes.
            "I understand..." Nel whispered as she reached up to run her fingers through his hair instead. The sensation of her fingers combing through his hair sent shivers down his spine. One of his braids fell over his shoulder and brushed against her chest. She gently took hold of it and looked up into his eyes once more.
            "Can I at least take your hair down?" She asked softly. Albel nodded and watched as if under a spell as her hands unwound the fabric wrapped around his hair. What would've been an hour's worth of work for him unwrapping his hair took mere minutes with Nel's skillful hands. Soon his hair was cascading freely down his back and over his shoulders. She looked up at him in awe for a few moments until Albel could no longer hold himself back.
            He attacked her lips with his and forced his tongue into her mouth where it fought for dominance with her own juicy little tongue. Shivers went down Albel's spine as he imagined that little tongue swirling around the tip of his member. Their strokes and kisses took on a new urgency as Nel began fumbling with the belt of Albel's sarong. She moaned and gasped as he kissed her and hooked his thumb into the side of one of her stockings and dragged it down along with her boot. The liberated leg wrapped itself around him and he nearly ripped the other stocking off.
            Albel's sarong was off and all that was between his erection and the air was a loincloth. Albel had wisely put it on under his sarong knowing that the moment he saw Nel it was likely he'd have a noticeable protrusion. It was quickly disposed of and his member sprung free of its prison to be admired by Nel's wild eyes. She gingerly reached out and ran her fingertips over the head, causing Albel to cry out in pleasure as he tore at the clasps of her leather corset and tossed it to the floor. He gladly ripped off the chest plate she wore and took a few moments to suckle her nipples through the fabric of her tunic and leotard.
