Chapter 2: Wrong Request
-x-x-
His mannerism resembling that of a tiger’s, the self-proclaimed Omega stalked slowly around the pink-clad scientist, his grin increasingly unnerving.
“Well well, what do we have here?” he mused, eyeing her intently. “Freed after so long and by one so interesting, too,” he went on, deactivating his saber and replacing it on his hip with the casual confidence of one that can retrieve it in a blink.
Ciel tried to muster her failing resolve. “I was told Zero had been locked away in warehouse XH-0080-IM. If you are not him, then who are you?”
The crimson terror blinked at that, momentarily caught off guard. Then he approached the remains of his capsule and ripped off a metal plaque that had gone unnoticed till then. “Warehouse WI-0800-HX,” he read aloud, chuckling. “The irony is delicious.” His blood-red optics glowed a bit at that. “Instead of that wimp, you actually found his better self, all due to a case of upside-down interpretation.”
“T-that’s unfortunate,” she replied numbly, not sure what to do. As far as she was concerned, she had just sacrificed a whole Resistance squad following a wrong lead. “Not that I’d wish you to remain trapped,” she amended very fast as Omega’s eyes narrowed.
His silence gave her mind some much-needed time to resume working at its normal levels of ability. She finally registered the casual show of power he had displayed seconds before, allowing herself to hope. “My name is Ciel. The actual reason I sought Zero was because my… organization is in need of strong warriors,” she explained, hoping she had gauged Omega’s reaction accurately. “There is a lot of very challenging fighting ahead and only the strongest ones could make a difference.”
To her relief, the scarlet reploid’s face perked at that. “Keep talking,” he demanded, taking a step towards her direction.
It took all of her courage not to step back. She was very aware that the slightest hesitation could cost her her life. It was up to her to turn her latest blunder into a success. “I am the leader of a resistance movement against the tyrannical regime of Neo-Arcadia. Its leader, Megaman X, is declaring innocent reploids as mavericks, then retires them. As I said there is a lot of fighting ahead of us…”
Her voice died down as Omega’s face turned incredulous. “So, you want me of all people to help you stop X from victimizing innocents,” he concluded, taking a step with each word. Reaching her, he placed a single finger at her midsection, right at her naval and pressed just hard enough to find said depression though the fabric of her uniform. His digit slowly travelled upwards, eliciting a shudder of fear as it traced a firm line, passing lazily between her breasts and hooking underneath her collar.
“Nice try,” he exclaimed suddenly, jerking his finger upwards and bodily lifting the girl off the floor. “Now how about telling me the truth? Before I decide to study the color of your intestines.” he deadpanned, bringing her to his level and pressing his nose against hers.
“I…” she tried to respond, aware she had somehow blundered again. She wasn’t exactly choking, but being suspended in midair like that hurt quite a bit.
Omega would have none of that. “You expect me to believe you? I know X better than anyone alive. That fucking pacifistic wimp can’t even appreciate the beauty of a good bloodbath. How about telling me something other than horseshit?”
It took Ciel three whole seconds to decide her life was more important than her secret. “He’s a corrupted copy of X,” she replied weakly. “I made him…”
Omega’s response was to drop her like a brick and proceed to laugh in her face as she haphazardly regained her balance. “So, you managed to create an evil X,” he noted amidst gasps of air. “Way to go girl. You should have tried Copy Zero, for maximum effect.”
She decided to take another chance. “Does this mean you will help us?” she asked as calm as she could.
True to his bipolarity, Omega promptly glared at her, before smirking. “Unlike my pitiful alter ego, I’m not one to give freebies without something in exchange. I doubt there is something you could offer me, though.”
The blond scientist’s mind scurried to find something, anything, to respond to that. She had been sorely unprepared for such a situation. “I let you out, didn’t I? And you will be going after Copy X anyway. It would be more efficient if I were to help you…”
Omega raised a brow. He was aware the capsule he had been imprisoned in had done something to him, had broken Weil’s control while giving him a true, sentient personality to match Zero’s memories, that had been inside him from the start. It was the sole reason Ciel was still alive. That hardly meant he had also grown a conscience, though.
“If you expect gratitude, you are talking to the wrong person. As for efficiency, I’m pretty content taking down enemies as they come to me. The big ones don’t take long to find me. In fact, whether they are enemies or not, it hardly makes a difference,” he explained gleefully as her face drooped.
In desperation, Ciel approached him, actually daring to touch his forearm. “Please. Anything in my power to give is yours.”
Omega’s grin almost split his face in two. He had an idea of what he could ask. The black-hearted reploid was bored. His request would make things more interesting. “Actually, I do have an idea,” he responded at length. “I will came with you and help you. I’ll do my best not to kill your pals myself. I will correct your little mistake.” Moving with the alacrity of an apparition, he stepped behind her, bending to bring his mouth right next to her ear.
“In return, I want… you!” he declared, causing her eyes to grow wide. “All of you, soul, mind and body,” he explained as his hand snaked underneath her shirt, cupping one of her firm breasts and slowly rubbing a barely traceable nipple through her bodysuit, causing her to gasp. “Mine to do as I wish.” As if to stress his point, he gave her a painful pinch, then removed his hand, lowering his mouth to her exposed neck and biting.
Making sure to avoid any major artery, his teeth broke her skin and he sighed in pleasure at the taste of blood.
To her credit, Ciel managed to voice her thoughts without revealing the depths of her horror. “Why me?” she asked levelly, not daring to move a muscle.
Omega licked her neck wound clean. “Why not? This body of mine likes them young, brainy and cute.”

A/N: People actually read last chapter, which is always good. If you don’t mind the update speed, I believe you’ll like this too. Instead of fast action, I prefer some semblance of a plot. I personally find it more interesting than Omega merely sticking it in…
