Author’s Note: I remember the original story and I wanted to see it end. I tried to find A “K” G but all of the addresses I had of him came up with nothing. So, I’ll just keep writing and maybe this will get his attention. If he asks me to stop or change something, I’ll stop but until then…yeah.
Memory Three weeks ago…“Kurow-kun, this has gone far enough, you must stop this!” Yurika pleaded. “If you surrender—““—Shut up! I’ve had enough of you! I knew I should’ve just gotten rid of you when I had the chance.” Kurow spat. “Useless. Absolutely useless.” Zaki and Akira flocked to her side and for a moment, Kurow seemed surprised. He regained his arrogant smirk and chuckled. “So you’ve forsaken me too.” He said quietly. “That’s fine! I still have one more card to play!”Waves of desperation poured off of him. The crowd around him grew with the combined strength of the surrounding schools, closing in on him. Kurow turned to a stoic Hyo and raised his flute.“Hyo, finish them off!” Hyo cast him a venomous sidelong glance. “No, I’d rather not.” “I-Impossible…” Kurow took a step back. “My control is flawless, not even you could break it! You couldn’t have been pretending for this long!” Hyo rolled his eyes and reached for his sword. Drawing it, he pointed the tip of the blade at his vulnerable throat. Kurow’s broke out into a cold sweat and his terrified eyes watched the sword.“You are pathetic.” Hyo hissed. “Proud because you preyed on the vulnerability in the Gedo leader. Even if you had an eternity to practice, your skill will never come close to mine.”Yurika swallowed. “S-so you weren’t under Kurow-kun’s control?” “No. I only complied to learn your true objective.” His eyes released an ominous red glow. “Now that I’ve learned the truth, I shall destroy the last of the Kirishima bloodline.” “Ni-san!” Kyosuke stepped in. “What are you talking about? Let the law handle this!” “Imbecile!” Hyo shoved Kyosuke away. “Don’t involve yourself with things you don’t understand!” “Kurow-kun!” Yurika raised her bow and prepared to play. Kurow exchanged glances with her and something in his eyes made her hesitate. A flash erupted at his feet and when her vision returned Kurow was several feet away, running to the library. “Come try to stop me!” He goaded.“Coward!” Hyo lunged after him with unearthly speed. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*Yurika stood at the fountain, engrossed in her playing. A familiar presence pierced her thoughts and she opened her eyes. Her eyes drifted to where she’d felt it but there was nothing there. She thought she’d seen a retreating shadow slide away but assumed it was a trick of the light. Ending her song, she graciously bowed at the light applause she received. She’d been coming here for the past few days to both practice and gain interest for her upcoming recital. So far, she’d attracted plenty of attention and hopefully her peers would be pleased. Passing out flyers, she made polite small talk with others but in the back of her mind she worried. Her brother lay in the hospital after the incident. Miraculously, he’d survived his injured but even now, his pride remained deeply wounded. The nurses complained about his belligerence and felt he didn’t want to recover. On top of it all, he’d grown more vicious towards Yurika. It doesn’t matter. She thought. I’ll always come back…it’s the least I can do after abandoning you. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*Yurika and her new friends reached the courtyard. A bloodcurdling scream tore through the air and she froze. Everyone’s voiced sounded distant and muffled as she strained to listen for her brother before taking off again. Searching through the darkness, she approached a crumbled form in the corner. Drawing closer her breath caught as her eyes took in the sight of the bloody, crumpled mess. She dropped to her knees, reaching out to touch him.“Yurika…chan…leave me…” He croaked.“Kurow-kun…” Tears blurred her eyes. “No…”In a sudden burst of energy he grabbed her. “Get outta here, stupid!”Yurika rose to her feet. A foreboding force rolled towards them and she knew he wasn’t strong enough to stand against it. Her heart hammered in her head and she took one last glance at Kurow before fleeing.Yurika secured her violin in its case and then prepared to leave. Visiting hours were almost over and she needed to see Kurow before the recital. Even if he berated her, knowing he was alive lifted her spirits. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*“Kagami…” Kyosuke continued gazing out the window. He’d ventured into a small restaurant and secured a seat by the window that was out of the way of any other customers. “Hey, Kagami!” Kyosuke blinked, looking up at the tall woman standing at his table. The imposing brunette glared at him. “You’re food’s gonna get cold at this rate.”“Thanks, Natsu-san.” Kyosuke recollected his thoughts as the woman placed his food down before him. Her expression softened. “Sorry, I get kinda nervous around here. This is my first job, y’know.”“Congratulations.” Kyosuke smiled. “I’ll be sure to leave a big tip, then.”While AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
