"Mom's gonna want me to make you a hunter." said Angel making Zoey's eyes widen.
"What?" asked Zoey. "Why?!"
"As a human the..." Angel stopped. She started thinking of the correct word. "Infected...yeah...the infected will always be drawn to you and I don't know how well I will be able to protect you."
"Why would you?" asked Zoey.
"I care for you. I mean I barely know you but I wouldn't have saved you if I didn't have feelings. I've actually saw you enter the apartment building and I was waiting on the fire escape the whole time." answered Angel.
"Oh." said Zoey. "What are you choices?"
"Stay a human and leave or turn into a hunter and stay with me forever." said Angel looking into Zoey's green eyes.
"I'm immune to the infection though." said Zoey.
"I bite here." said Angel pointing at her throat. "I'm suppose to get my blood into your wounds and it should change you. I don't really understand it."
One of the older hunters told Angel that to change an immune survivor, you cut your lips and then bite down onto the survivors throat, almost like how a lion takes down it's prey. While biting you got to get your blood onto the wounds and when the blood seeps in, it will change the person. Although he said that sometimes the change could kill the person and that's what Angel feared the most. She feared that if Zoey choose to turn into a hunter and Angel did what was required, she wouldn't survive the change. (Author Note: I made that all up but this is a fanfic of course XD)
"I-I'm gonna have to this this through." said Zoey.
"Alright. I'll be back in a while." said Angel walking to the door.
"Where are you going?" asked Zoey.
"It's almost time to go hunting and I think it's my turn to go with my dad. Everything will be fine. You're safe." Angel smiled at her before going through the door and running off.
Raven walked through the door and looked at Zoey who saw Angel's mother. "I suppose you and I should have a talk."
Axel looked at his daughter who was crouched down watching a deer eating some grass. Angel enjoyed hunting and was good at it, well every hunter was good at it but when others would give up chasing their prey Angel kept sprinting after it until it got tired. Axel let out a roar and Angel nodded. She leaped off the top of the building with a shriek and tackled the deer down. She clamped her mouth over it's neck and turned her head sharply and there was a sickening snap noise.
Axel grinned at his baby girl and saw his daughter smiling happily with blood all over her mouth. He couldn't help but laugh. He took down his prey and the two started dragging it back home. Angel stopped outside the building making Axel look. "You okay?" he asked.
"Yeah hang on." said Angel.
"Angel?"
"What do human's eat?" asked Angel looking at him making him stare. "I mean...she can't eat raw deer like us."
"Well we can pop something in the microwave." said Axel.
"The what?" asked Angel.
Axel plugged in the microwave in and took something out of the freezer. He put it in and Angel poked a button and it beeped making her jump backwards. Axel just laughed and hit the buttons and then hit start. Angel got closer as the thing of food inside spun around in slow circles. Angel looked at the number when it reached zero and it started beeping more making Angel jump back again.
"It's not gonna hurt you." said Axel laughing.
"Why does it make so much noise?!" asked Angel poking it.
"That's just what it does." stated Axel pulling the plastic cover off and pushed it towards Angel. "Go bring it to her." Angel grabbed it and took off running to where Zoey still was.
Raven ducked slightly as Angel leaped over her and crouched down in front of Zoey. "Food." smiled Angel.
"Your father use a microwave?" asked Raven.
"That box makes too much noise." said Angel. Raven rolled her eyes as Zoey took the food from Angel.
"Thank you." said Zoey. Raven kissed Angel's head and walked out of the storage room. Angel sat in front of her and crossed her legs. Zoey was eating the food like there was no tomorrow. No madder how much she ate, she had gone so long with a proper meal.
Angel scratched at her cheek and she growled slightly. She shoved her hood down and started itching her head. Zoey looked at her making her stop and look. "What?"
"You look like you're a teenager." said Zoey.
"I know. Mom says I look between 17 and 19." replied Angel.
"I made my choice..."
"Which is?" asked Angel.
