“Yes, I’m behind Labrynna’s army. It took little convincing to bring aid to Zelda’s rule- the royal family has excellent relations with her and they were quite willing to help her eject a usurper. All you and Zelda have to do is get Ganondorf out into the open for negotiation. Between the three of us, he’ll fall.”
.oOo.
Labrynna’s soldiers filled much of the desert, and Link was extremely glad Midna was at their head. A battle against that many forces would be crippling to Hyrule’s people. Hyrule’s standing army was mostly a ceremonial group, and even with the reinforcements from the Gerudo and Goron tribes, their numbers weren’t great.
But that was fine. They weren’t here to fight, just to make a good show of it.
When Midna and her envoy crossed the desert to them, Zelda strode cooly out to meet them, Link and Ganondorf flanking. It wasn’t as if Link were a stranger to battle, and certainly no stranger to Ganondorf being his foe. But he’d never had such an… intense anticipation built up before about a fight. It was a gamble, a horrible one. Either they would defeat Ganondorf and everything would be perfect, or they wouldn’t. He was pretty sure he hoped to be killed if they lost. Courage might be his strong suit, but he did not want to be under the Gerudo King’s control if this failed. And aside from himself, he couldn’t stand the thought of him touching Zelda again. That firmed up his determination again, and the nervous trembling in his hands subsided. No matter the outcome, the man would never hurt her again after this.
He suspected something, Link was sure he must. But he could hardly refuse to challenge an army marching on Hyrule, not if he wanted to stay in power, and so Ganondorf was finally out here, in the open, and Link and Zelda were both ready for him.
Link didn’t really hear Zelda’s proclamation. He heard her magically amplified voice echo across the desert, but her words were unimportant to him. He saw Labrynnan soldiers flank them, shields instead of swords raised, just in case the Gerudo warriors sided with their kinsman instead of their rightful Queen. He saw confusion but thankfully no signs of anger or imminent action from their own troops. The Gorons were loyal to him over Ganondorf or even Zelda, and they moved to amplify the defensive line of Labrynnan soldiers. Within the space of a few seconds, the four of them were encircled and isolated, Ganondorf seeming torn between amusement and fury.
Perhaps it would have been more dramatic to say something, about how his evil ways were come to an end, or how he’d never have dominion over Hyrule. Too wise to do anything of the sort, Zelda was already drawing and charging a light arrow as she spoke, and fired it point blank at their tormentor. He turned his head, which meant that what should have gone straight through his eye scored all along his cheek instead, and he bellowed with rage and pain as it tore through skin and hair.
The gleaming Sword of Sages flashed through the air, and suddenly Midna was in front of Zelda, catching the blow with magic in her hands. She was far taller than either Link or Zelda, and the improved angle meant she could force Ganondorf back, leaving room for Link to dart in and strike at his exposed flank. Rather than try and batter through the armor covering him so solidly, Link snaked in a lighter, surgical slice at the straps he’d helped buckle on, knowing right where the joins and weaknesses were. With Midna straining to keep Ganondorf’s sword raised, her own Twilight magic flickering and distorting the air around them as she fought to keep up with the Triforce of Power, it left him wonderfully exposed to the light, fast blades of Link and Zelda. Her rapier slid neatly under a thigh plate, and he snarled as his leg collapsed under him, driving him to one knee. Midna forced him backwards, wrenching his arms up, and Link drove forwards, putting all his weight behind the Master Sword.
It sang in the hero’s hands and drove effortlessly forwards, until the winged crossguard lodged under his ribs. Clearly not trusting that to be enough, Zelda whipped her rapier around, slicing through Ganondorf’s throat with grim determination. Link jumped when a large clang sounded, but it was just the hilt of the great white sword striking the massive shoulderguard before disappearing into the sand. He felt the Triforce pulse, saw the unearthly glow of the fatal wounds finally flicker and fade. Midna shoved the fallen Gerudo’s body to the ground, and Link staggered back, only reflex bringing his own sword with him.
Zelda was saying something again, and he heard the crowd cheering, but he was conscious only of Midna’s arm wrapping around his shoulders to keep him upright, the Triforce of Power now flaring briefly on the back of her hand before dulling down a pale blue on her black skin. Suddenly, Zelda was in front of him, and as she reached out to touch his face, everything seemed to snap. Whether it snapped into place or fell apart, he wasn’t entirely sure, but he could hear cheers from the Hylian Knights, and Zelda was giving him a watery smile, and then she was in his arms, and everything was going to turn out alright.
.oOo.
That had been weeks ago. The season had turned into fall, the harvests were coming in, Zelda’s long-overdue coronation had finally been completed, and Hyrule seemed delirious with celebration. It was understandable, really. They’d gone from being plunged into Twilight to being uneasily ruled by Ganondorf, the literal King of Darkness; now their beloved Queen was solidly on the throne again and all was as it should be. Even the integration of the Twili back into Hyrule had gone relatively smoothly.
Midna had a gift for flair, and the destruction of the Twilight Shadows had been a spectacular, triumphant, and yet oddly solemn event that had endeared everyone watching to the nobility of the downtrodden Twili. With the Shadows gone, the last vestiges of monstrousness clinging to the Twili had evaporated, leaving them all exotic, beautiful, and yet with a reassuringly Hylian base. Zelda speculated that by the next generation, the Twili would probably have a full connection to the goddesses again, especially since Din’s favor had apparently transferred to the Twilight Princess upon her defeat of the former Chosen.
Somewhat to his disgust, Link’s dream of returning to his home and herding goats again was clearly not going to happen anytime soon. He couldn’t complain too much, of course, since staying in Hyrule castle meant that he got to move into the newly rebuilt Royal Suites with Zelda. He’d heard her advisors talking about a marriage to Labrynna’s third youngest son as a thank you for their timely intervention, but to his delight, he’d also heard Zelda’s dry response that he seemed to be far more interested in one of Midna’s particularly pretty cousins. He logically knew that a marriage of state might be necessary in her future… but that didn’t stop him hoping deep down that he’d get to keep her all to himself.
After a surprisingly pleasant day of talking with the Ordonian farmers about crops for the coming winter, Link retired back to Zelda’s rooms, unbuckling his sword as he entered the room. Much to his relief, she hadn’t insisted on him wearing noble’s clothing unless there was some fancy occasion, and the Master Sword was serving as a perfectly legitimate reminder of who he was and the position he held to the Queen of Hyrule. Not that it was easy to pin down. Bodyguard? Hero? Friend? Champion? Lover? They all… sort of fit, at some times, but none really described what he was. It didn’t bother him much, however the nobility might quibble about it. He knew what he meant to Zelda, and what she was to him, even if it wasn’t so easy to put into words.
He smiled as Zelda strode into the entrance room from somewhere deeper in her suite, already changed from her queenly regalia to a silken belted robe. It was rare that she was done her day before he was, and it was always a pleasant surprise to have her here when he arrived. “I was starting to think you’d never be done chatting with Rusl,” she said, stepping over to him and kissing his cheek. “We’ve been waiting for you.”
“We?” Link asked curiously, wondering who in Hyrule she could possibly be holding a meeting with while dressed in bedclothes. Not that he minded, he rather liked the way the silk clung to her body, managing to both drape and hide more than her dress, and at the same time appear so much less covering.
She took his hand and drew him into the sunroom, where he was surprised and pleased to see Midna lounging on one of the couches, looking breathtaking in the light of the setting sun. Her skin and hair had a luminescence that he wasn’t sure if it was from the sun or her magic, but it took his breath away anyway.
“It seems to me that we had a conversation once, about the rewards of ousting the Gerudo King,” Zelda murmured behind him, her hands snaking around his waist.
He knew the expression on his face must be priceless, because Midna gave a delighted laugh as she rose fluidly to her feet. She seemed to tower over him, but instead of inspiring fear as Ganondorf had, he could only be struck by her beauty, with the low sun setting her hair ablaze. Her fingers were warm, almost hot on his face as she tilted his chin up, and then her lips were on his and his ability to think seemed to drift away as unimportant. He was vaguely aware of Zelda’s hands removing his second belt, much more aware of her lips teasing along the back of his neck.
Midna’s skin was soft and warm under his fingers, tingling ever so faintly with the magic that was so much a part of her. It didn’t feel as alien now, with the power fed from the Triforce rather than the Shadows. His hands slid slowly up her body, and it wasn’t until he touched the lower swell of her breasts that he paused and pulled away in confusion, and more than a little embarrassment. “I… sorry. I didn’t… I thought you were wearing…”
Her laugh was echoed by Zelda, whose arms wrapped around his waist again. “Most of what I wear is shadows, spun into cloth,” Midna said, stepping back and running her fingers from her shoulder down to her waist. The change was subtle, the darkness of her skin just a little more solid than the darkness of her clothing. He felt his heart skip a beat as her breasts came into full view, her velvety black nipples practically calling out to him.
Zelda held him back, her hands now running down his sides, then back up under his tunic, keeping him just watching, which he was actually grateful for. The black and silver patterning of Midna’s skin was familiar, echoing her imp form, but this was much more delightful to watch, as she drew the swath of skirt to the side, flicking her fingers and letting the shadows dissolve in the golden sunlight. His gaze travelled over her beautifully patterned skin, his own cheeks flushing as he took in her surprisingly hairless body. He jumped and gasped as Zelda’s hand slid from his stomach down to his shaft, stroking him lightly through his pants. “I think he appreciates the view,” Zelda observed, her voice soft in his ear.
“Such a flatterer,” Midna chuckled, stepping forwards again, her own hand reaching down to entwine with Zelda’s fingers. Link let out a groan, feeling decidedly weak-kneed and lightheaded all of a sudden. “Mmm, I think perhaps he needs to lie down.”
“I think you’re right,” Zelda teased, withdrawing her hand which drew a whimper of protest and relief from Link. She grabbed his hand and led them both back to her bedroom, and Link was very proud of himself for not tripping over anything. Midna’s hands were suddenly on him from behind, lifting the tunic and chainmail over his head as if it weighed no more than the shadows she’d been wearing, leaving him feeling much cooler suddenly. He hadn’t noticed just how hot he’d been getting.
Zelda turned and knelt down, her fingers undoing his pants with the ease of familiarity, sliding them down over his hips and freeing his shaft. He groaned softly with relief, shivering as she stood up very close to him, the silken robe brushing and teasing against him. “Come to bed, Link,” she murmured, tilting her head down ever so slightly to kiss him.
He certainly had no objections to that, as she stepped backwards, drawing him towards the bed. She pulled away briefly and he yelped with surprise as Midna playfully pushed him onto the bed, pulling off his boots and pants the rest of the way. He rolled to his back to see Midna crawling over him, her heavy breasts swaying over him. Eagerly, he reached up to grab them, marvelling in the weight and softness of them, larger and rounder than Zelda’s, with large, peaked nipples that pressed into his palms. She gave a soft sigh of encouragement, and so he kept exploring them, gently kneading the soft flesh between his fingers, his thumbs rolling gently over her nipples.
Her knee slid ever so gently between his legs, her thigh brushing against his balls and making him groan. She shifted her weight so one of her hands could come up and stroke his length, and his hips bucked up eagerly into her hand.
“Aww, don’t I get a turn?” Zelda pouted playfully, leaning against her bedpost. Link jumped and blushed and immediately tried to crawl towards her to make amends. Midna, however, moved her hand from his shaft to his chest, pushing him back to the bed in a clear order to stay where he was. She backed off of him, standing and turning to face Zelda.
Much to Link’s surprised delight, Midna reached ever so gently forwards, running her fingers through Zelda’s hair, pulling her head gently forward and up for a kiss. Her other hand moved slowly down the Queen’s silken robe, stopping to tug open the tie at her waist. He watched in fascination as Midna’s lips moved slowly down Zelda’s neck, following the silken robe down her shoulder as she slowly slid it off her body.
Zelda seemed to be enjoying the caresses, if the pleased flush to her cheeks and the soft sounds she was making were any indication. Link’s faint groan echoed her soft moan as Midna’s tongue flicked out, teasing over one dusky pink nipple. One of her hands snaked down Midna’s front, making the Twili gasp with surprise and pleasure as Zelda’s hand slipped between her legs. “I see you’re enjoying this just as much as he is,” she murmured softly, fingers of her other hand running lightly through Midna’s hair as the Twili teased at her breast.
“How could I not?” Midna replied, standing back up and pulling Zelda tight against her. She pulled her hair gently back and leaned down to kiss her thoroughly, one leg slipping between Zelda’s. Link moaned softly from the bed; he hadn’t consciously reached down, but he had one hand firmly wrapped around his length, stroking at a slow, measured pace.
“Ah, ah… that’s our job,” Midna teased, turning away from Zelda and crawling back onto the bed, pulling his hand away, replacing it with her own. His eyes fluttered closed, and he just felt the bed dip slightly before gasping with surprise as Zelda’s slightly cooler fingers joined hers. He forced his eyes open and his head up, just in time to see Midna’s head bend down, and that shockingly pink tongue of hers slip out to lick at the head of his shaft.
Well, there was no way he was going to close his eyes now… although the pleasure when she removed her hand completely, her lips sucking him slowly into her mouth, made his vision blur for several moments. After a few moments, Zelda joined her, her tongue and lips teasing around the base of his cock. They shifted sloppily and incredibly erotically between pleasuring him and kissing each other, and Link was building up almost embarrassingly fast. “I… I can’t…” he gasped, just as his balls tightened and a wave of pleasure swept over him.
He was aware of a mouth sucking his shaft clean as he came, but by the time he was able to open his eyes and focus again, there was no way to tell who it had been, and that was somehow even hotter than having seen it happen. “So… since Zelda’s gotten to enjoy you more often, I think I’ll be taking the first ride,” Midna said, a faint tone of amusement in her voice. Her hand wrapped around his length again, and he groaned. It was incredibly sensitive, and his balls were still tight, but he hadn’t appeared to soften much at all.
Link watched, enthralled, as Midna pulled Zelda closer, kissing her again, and he shuddered as he wondered which of them tasted of his cum. Her hand stayed on his length, stroking slowly and softly as his body relaxed a bit again, and her other arm slid around Zelda’s waist. The queen gave a soft moan as Midna’s fingers slid down through the honey-coloured curls between her legs, exploring the shape of her core. Zelda’s own hands slid lightly over Midna’s body, playing over the lines between light and dark, occasionally gasping and digging in with her fingertips as Midna did something extra pleasurable to her body.
He let out an embarrassing whimper of disappointment as Midna’s hand withdrew, but then she swung a leg over his waist and slid forwards, moaning softly as she lined up with the head of his shaft. She grabbed onto him briefly, just long enough to start sliding his length inside of her, sighing with pleasure as he filled her. Maybe it was a good thing he’d already cum, Link reflected, because he’d probably be doing it right at this second if he hadn’t. Her hand slid back between Zelda’s legs again, and she arched back, resting on her arms as Midna’s fingers slipped slowly inside of her.
Wanting her closer to him, suddenly needing to touch and taste and feel her too, Link reached for Zelda’s leg, tugging her towards him. She moved obligingly closer, and he could smell her arousal as Midna’s fingers slowly played with her. He pulled at her again, and after a moment she moved just how he wanted her to. Midna’s hand withdrew as she knelt over Link, gasping softly as he started to lick at her lower lips.
She leaned forwards, bracing herself on Midna’s powerful body, nuzzling softly at her neck as Link’s lips and tongue teased maddeningly around her core. He never quite touched where so desperately wanted him to, just occasionally brushing over the most sensitive bits, his arms and hands curling over her thighs to keep her in just the right position.
Midna was quite enjoying riding her little hero, delighting in the way his length filled her over and over as she moved up and down on his hips. She arched up slightly, Zelda’s head slipping from her shoulder down to her breast, and she took the hint beautifully, lips and tongue immediately playing over her sensitive nipple.
Zelda let out a cry of delight as Link’s tongue finally pressed exactly where she wanted it, a wave of pure pleasure washing through her. He did it again, and again, and within moments, she was a helpless mess, limp and shuddering in Midna’s arms. Gently, she lowered Zelda to the side, where she basked cheerfully in the afterglow, occasionally shivering with pleasure.
Now determined to get her own release, Midna sped up her movements, making Link groan under her. She leaned down to kiss him, her nose and tongue drenched in Zelda’s rich scent. He kissed back, although his tongue was moving a little cautiously, clearly tired from his previous exertions. She was suddenly surprised by the feel of another hand slipping between them, and cried out, arching up and back as Zelda’s fingers pressed right exactly on the sensitive peak of her core. Midna shrieked with delight as she came, her whole body trembling and tightening.
Under her, Link cried out hoarsely, coming almost painfully hard this time, overcome by scent and sensation and truly delightful imagery. Midna’s weight shifted, and he groaned as she pulled slowly off of him, moving to lie down beside him. “Well… looks like you’re still plenty big enough to ride, little wolf,” Midna said breathlessly, rubbing his ear like she always used to. He gave short laugh, and sighed happily as Zelda curled up to his other side.
Yes, things had worked out just about perfectly.
