An alarm rang throughout Iris’s bedroom. A smile crept onto her face as she snapped awake. Today was her twenty-fourth birthday and she was ready to party. She jumped from her bed, turned off the alarm clock, and stretched her arms. She let out a yawn as she scratched her backside. She took out a Poké Ball from her pocket and gave an underhanded toss, sending the item flying into the air. The Poké Ball broke apart, releasing a yellow-green beast. “Haxorus!” the Pokémon exclaimed.
“Hey, buddy!” Iris greeted as she wrapped her arms around the giant. “Guess what day it is?”
“Hax?” the creature questioned, taking a guess.
“You got it!” Iris said giddily. “I’m turning twenty-four today! Can you believe it?” The Pokémon nodded as she hugged her trainer back. “I remember when you were just a little Axew,” Iris reminisced. Iris remembered her first Pokémon battle using Axew. Their opponent had been a wild Pidove, which proved to be a hard fought victory for Axew due to her inexperience. Axew’s lack of speed was compensated by her high attack power and her constant use of the move Scratch.
“Haxorus,” the creature stated, making Iris smile even more.
“You remember that too?” she asked in disbelief. “You remember beating that Pidove?”
The Pokémon nodded. “Haxorus.” She mimicked its original attack by swiping in the air. Although she no longer knew the move, traces of it still remained in her memory. “Hax?’
Iris’s eyes widened in realization, pulling out her other Poké Balls from her pocket. “You’re right,” she agreed. “I should probably get them out, too.” She tossed them all using her previous method and watched as her companions all popped out. “Hey guys!” she greeted, observing her other five Pokémon: Hydreigon, Salamence, Archeops, Aggron, and Lapras. Her affinity for Dragons led to half of her team having that type.
Hydreigon’s three mouths sang out in cheers as she hugged Iris. The other Pokémon followed suit, coming closer to Iris. The violet-haired woman gently patted Aggron on the head, tossed Archeops a Poké Puff, gave Salamence a high five, and let Lapras rub her head against Iris’s. “Thanks you guys,” she told her companions. “You’ve always been here for me.” While she had caught many Pokémon over the years, these six were the ones she had grown closest to. She looked at her alarm clock and realized what time it was. “Oh right,” she murmured. “It’s ten o’clock.” She pulled out her daily planner, a purple notebook with rainbow-themed stars printed all over it, and opened it up. “Let’s see what I’ve got planned,” she whispered, reading her handwriting. Her Pokémon stared at her notebook, wondering what was in store. “Oh yeah,” she remembered.
She read the notebook and smiled. “First thing on the list: visit Shauntal and Caitlin.” She knew that Marshal and Grimsley would be out for the day, busy doing errands. On the other hand, Shauntal and Caitlin, whom she viewed as older sisters, would be around for sure. She had only known them for a couple of weeks, but she cherished her time with them. Since Iris had become the champion, it had become her job to defend her title and she did not intend to give up her position any time soon. Her Pokémon had saved her so many times in battle that they had practically become family. The closest she had to family outside of her Pokémon was Drayden, the man who had adopted her from the Village of Dragons she grew up in. Due to how old he was, and his snow white hair, Iris had taken to calling him ‘Grandpa.’
“I should also visit Grandpa today too,” she murmured. Since she had become champion of the Unova region, she had been spending less time with him. Drayden was the still the gym leader of Opelucid City, handing out badges to whoever had defeated him in battle. When she was younger, he had initially retired to pass the torch down to Iris. While Iris had been the gym leader for several years, she eventually moved on from that path that took on the challenge of the Pokémon League. She had grown so strong that she beat the Elite Four and dethroned Alder from his role as champion.
Today, she intended to dress more casually than she normally did. She held her hair down and wore a new outfit: denim shorts, a white t-shirt, and blue sneakers. “It feels good to be able to relax,” she whispered to herself. Her eyes focused on her Pokémon. “Okay guys. I’m going to visit the girls,” she informed her companions. “Time to go back for awhile.” She pulled out her Poké Balls and waited as her Pokémon re-entered the devices. “I’ll let you all out later,” she guaranteed her friends.
Iris placed the Poké Balls into her pocket and walked out of her room. Her bedroom was connected to the Champion’s dungeon, leaving her much time to relax until a challenger arrived. Iris walked up the numerous stairs throughout the Pokémon League, eventually making her way to Shauntal’s room. The champion panted as she climbed what seemed to be an infinite flight of stairs. By the time she reached the door, Iris was out of breath. She gave a soft knock and the door immediately opened. In front of Iris stood Shauntal wearing a dark purple t-shirt, black pants, and pink shoes. The older woman also possessed short purple hair and round glasses.
“Hey champ,” the Elite Four member said with a smile. “Happy birthday.”
Iris grinned. “You remembered,” she said, touched by the ghost girl’s memory. “That’s so nice of you!”
“Well, you told me a few days ago,” Shauntal pointed out as she headed back into her room. Iris followed her and noticed the stacks of books scattered across the room. Some of them Shauntal had bought and some of them she had written personally. “You really like to read,” Iris observed, picking up one of Shauntal’s books. Her eyes snapped open upon seeing an image of a person receiving and enjoying an atomic wedgie in the book. “What the?” Iris wondered aloud.
“Give me that!” Shauntal demanded, attempting to snatch the book away. Iris held the book out of her grasp.
“What is this?” Iris questioned, raising a disturbed eyebrow. “What kind of stuff are you into?”
“Just give it to me!” Shauntal yelled, reaching desperately in her attempts to grab the book. “Nobody’s supposed to see that!”
“Then why didn’t you keep it hidden?” Iris asked, genuinely curious as to what interested her friend.
“I didn’t think anybody would read it,” Shauntal admitted sheepishly, rubbing her elbows.
“Are you turned on by wedgies?” Iris questioned, making Shauntal blush as the latter looked away in embarrassment.
“Maybe,” Shauntal whispered. “I’ve never gotten one, but the ones I’ve seen and read about seem so hot!” Her voice had gotten louder as she had finished her sentence, making Iris chuckle.
“Do you want me to give you one?” she asked, making Shauntal’s eyes widen excitedly.
“Really?” Shauntal asked. “You’d do that for me?”
Iris nodded. “Turn around.” Shauntal grinned, spinning one hundred degrees. Iris did not believe for a minute that Shauntal could actually enjoy wedgies in real life, making the champion certain that the Elite Four member was in for a nasty surprise. Iris wrapped her fingers around the emerald waistband peeking out of Shauntal’s pants. Iris wrenched her hands upward, making Shauntal squeak. She gripped Shauntal’s purple hair and pulled her head back. “Ready for the atomic?” she whispered smugly into Shauntal’s ear.
Shauntal nodded. So far, she felt no enjoyment from getting a wedgie. Perhaps an atomic would alleviate that pain by providing some pleasure. Iris pulled Shauntal’s classes off her eyes, yanked the ghost girl’s panties over her head, and snapped the waistband onto the chin. Iris stood back and laughed as Shauntal waddled around like a penguin. She noticed that Shauntal’s emerald undergarments had pictures of Gengar and Froslass printed onto the fabric. “You enjoying that wedgie yet?” Iris asked her friend as she placed Shauntal’s glasses back onto her face.
Shauntal shook her head, which had been constricted by her neck’s strain on her body. “No,” she muttered through her underwear prison. She had no idea how she had gotten so much enjoyment from looking at and reading about wedgies, but only felt pain from actually receiving them.
“You want some help taking that off?” Iris asked. Shauntal shook her head once more. She wanted to feel some enjoyment from the wedgie and she would wait as long as possible until she finally felt pleasure from it. Iris looked around, wondering how she could contribute to Shauntal’s wedgie. She noticed a book shelf with a hook on it. “You want a hanging wedgie?” she offered.
Shauntal nodded. “Yes,” she murmured. Two wedgies at once had the possibility of inducing satisfaction for herself. Iris gripped the front part of her panties and gave a quick tug, making Shauntal screech. It surprised Iris how Shauntal could be turned on by the sight of wedgies, but felt no pleasure from the act of receiving them. Iris had gotten wedgies her entire life, so she had a tentative knowledge on the subject. Her best friend Roxie, a gym leader in Unova, would give her wedgies constantly. Iris would make sure she got payback, however, as Roxie never got away without receiving a wedgie just as painful as the ones she gave to Iris. In present time, Iris continued the melvin wedgie she had been giving to Shauntal. The fabric had been lifted up to Shauntal’s lips, worsening the already painful experience. She finished it off by hooking the front part of Shauntal’s waistband onto the hook. Iris wondered why Shauntal had a hook if she never gave herself a wedgie before, but the champion surmised that Shauntal had bought it recently to give herself hanging wedgies.
“I’m gonna go now,” Iris told Shauntal, who still felt no relief whatsoever. The ghost girl dangled in the air, hanging like a scarecrow. “When I come back, I’m going to help you down.”
“Tankyu,” Shauntal’s muffled voice told her. At this point, she still felt no enjoyment from the constant wedgies.
Iris nodded, shut the door behind her, and headed to Caitlin’s room. She once again had to climb a multitude of stairs to reach the door. When she knocked on the door, she was once again panting. Caitlin opened the door and let out a yawn. “Happy birthday,” the taller, pale-skinned woman said groggily.
“Thanks,” Iris said jovially. She noticed that Caitlin barely seemed to be awake. “You okay? You look tired.”
Caitlin slowly nodded. “I was up all night trying to get you a birthday present,” she explained.
Iris grinned excitedly. “That’s so nice of you! Do you have it with you?”
Caitlin once again yawned and gave another nod. “Just follow me,” she murmured, heading back into her room. Iris did as she commanded. The champion noticed that Caitlin was wearing clothing different from her normal attire: she wore a white crop top and a pair of pink pants. “Are you enjoying your birthday so far?”
Iris smiled. “You could say that,” she snickered. “Have you seen the stuff Shauntal’s been reading?”
“Unfortunately...” Caitlin admitted with a shudder. “She has quite the unique set of interests,” she muttered. Caitlin went behind the bed in her room and pulled out a small, gift wrapped box. “Here’s your gift,” she said happily, handing the gift over to Iris.
“Thanks,” Iris said, eyeing the box. She held the box up to her ear and shook it. “I wonder what’s in it.”
“So what did you find in Shauntal’s assortment of books?” Caitlin asked, twirling a finger through her light brown hair. She didn’t have her pink flower cap on her head, revealing the more messy aspects of her hair. “The other day I found out she likes to read about feet. She should really hide that stuff if she keeps whining about people finding out.”
“I found out she likes to read about wedgies,” Iris answered.
Caitlin raised an eyebrow. “Seriously?” she asked, incredulous at such a concept. “How could anybody like getting wedgies?”
Iris shrugged. She knew that Shauntal liked to read and write, but she had no idea what the content of her books were. “Turns out she just likes to read about them,” she stated. “She asked me to give her a wedgie and she didn’t really like it when I did.”
Caitlin chuckled. “Really?” she giggled. “I shouldn’t laugh, but it’s too funny.” She let out a sigh as she recollected her thoughts. “Wedgies are too weird for me,” she admitted. “They’re so silly.”
A thought popped into Iris’s head as she put the box down. “I think I’ll open the present later,” she stated, forming a plan.
“Oh,” Caitlin murmured, disappointed by the sudden turn of events. “I hoped you’d open it now.”
“Okay,” Iris replied before pointing behind Caitlin. “Hey, what’s that?” she asked.
Caitlin turned her head, looking behind her. “What are you talking-Eep!” A sharp pain poked her in the posterior, snapping her awake. “Iris!” she barked at the snickering champion. “Not funny!”
Iris chuckled as she noticed Caitlin’s pink undergarments had pictures of Gallade and Gardevoir printed on the cotton. “Cute,” Iris taunted, pulling her waistband up to her neck. The fabric’s grip tightened on Caitlin’s bottom, making her blush profusely while attempting to slap Iris’s hands away.
“Let me go!” she demanded. “I hate wedgies!” While she had not gotten that many wedgies in her time, that did not mean she enjoyed them. Iris shook her head and let Caitlin’s waistband creep up the brunette’s head.
“If it’s any consolation, I’ll let you give me a wedgie later,” Iris offered as she pulled Caitlin’s head back. Caitlin’s world became black as her waistband attached itself to her chin, forcing her to strain her neck back.
“Icantsee,” her muffled voice whined as she walked around in her atomic wedgie. Her fingers wrapped around her waistband and pulled her undergarments off her head.
“Wow,” Iris stated, observing Caitlin’s undergarments drooping from her pants, reaching past her ankles. “Those are stretchy panties.”
Caitlin pulled out a Poké Ball and gave it an underhanded toss. Out popped her Reuniclus, who stared in confusion at her undergarments. “Stop staring!” she demanded, scaring her Pokémon. “Sorry,” she quickly apologized. She then whispered something into Reuniclus’s ear and pointed towards Iris. The Pokémon held out her arms in Iris’s direction and flashed her eyes.
Iris felt a purple fabric slither up her back, making her squeak. “A Psychic wedgie?” she questioned as she noticed the front part of her undergarments skyrocket of her shorts. “Ack!” she shrieked. The cotton wrapped around her body like bandages, exponentially amplifying the pain. As the underwear tied around her body, Caitlin snickered as she observed the Pokémon printed onto the fabric: Haxorus.
“Isn’t that cute?” she said mockingly. “If I was as good at giving wedgies as I am at Pokémon battles, I would have been champion years ago.”
“This... seems... excessive...” Iris whimpered, barely able to feel the agony anymore.
“Just one more thing,” Caitlin replied as she watched Reuniclus’s display. Reuniclus finished the job by pulling Iris’s waistband over her head and hooking it onto her teeth.
“Why?!” Iris whined. She was surprised that the wedgie had not split her in two with how excruciating the sensation was.
“If you had a Cofagrigus, this would be more fitting,” Caitlin stated, noticing the connection between the coffin Pokémon and Iris’s mummy wedgie. She chuckled as she watched Iris fall over in the attempt to walk. “You are such a nerd,” she giggled. She snapped her fingers and Reuniclus nodded. They were so perfectly in sync that the duo knew exactly what the other was thinking. Iris’s mummy wedgie came undone, but she felt a new wedgie appear in her spine.
“Ugh, I need to go to a Pokémon center,” Iris groaned, rubbing her posterior. “Hey, what did you do?” She ran her finger up her back and realized the truth. Her underwear had been tightly hooked to her bra, giving her a permanent wedgie.
“Got any other stops today?” Caitlin asked, pulling Iris up.
“I was going to visit Grandpa,” Iris whispered, still struggling to comprehend what had just happened.
Caitlin smiled. “Great. I can join you,” she said cheerfully, patting Iris on the back.
“Can you please let me go?” Iris pleaded.
“Can I still come with you if I do?” Caitlin asked, hoping for a yes.
Iris nodded. “Just no more wedgies, okay?”
Caitlin smirked as she looked to Reuniclus, who undid Iris’s wedgie. “Thanks, Reuniclus,” she said appreciatively before pulling out her Poké Ball and returning Reuniclus to her home.
Iris tucked her panties back into her shorts and let out a sigh. While giving wedgies were always fun, she had never enjoyed getting them. She had underestimated Caitlin’s resourcefulness and bond with her Reuniclus. Let’s hope this doesn’t happen again...
Drayden was making lunch for himself and Roxie when he heard a knock on the front door of his house. “Can you get that?” he asked Roxie who gave him a thumbs up. The white-haired rock star was wearing her normal clothes: a blue-and-purple striped shirt that was bigger than she was, black shorts, and black boots. Roxie ran over to the door and opened it to see who it was.
“Iris!” Roxie exclaimed, wrapping her arms around her friend. “Happy birthday!”
“It’s good to see you too,” Iris stated, embracing her best friend. “Eep!” She noticed Roxie snickering as her underwear jumped her back.
“Wedgie,” Roxie whispered, releasing her grip on her panties.
Iris groaned as she stuffed her underwear into her jeans. “I’m gonna get you back,” she warned.
“You always do,” Roxie replied, aware of her upcoming fate. She noticed the tall woman next to her. “Who’s your friend?”
“I am Caitlin,” the woman introduced herself. “I’m one of the members of the Elite Four. Did Iris never mention me to you?”
Roxie shrugged. “She never really brought it up,” she admitted, surprising Caitlin. The older woman had not expected Iris to not bring her or the other Elite Four members up to her friends.
Iris rubbed her elbow nervously, hoping to change the direction of the conversation. “So... were you expecting me to show up today?” she asked Roxie.
Roxie waved an unsure hand in the air. “Eh, I took a guess,” she admitted. “But at least you’re here.” She noticed Caitlin was holding a gift wrapped box in her hands. “Oh! You got me a present?” she joked, playfully elbowing Caitlin in the side. “You shouldn’t have.”
Caitlin giggled, making Irish blush even more. “Can we go inside now?” Iris asked anxiously. She really wanted to see Drayden and she felt awkward seeing her friends, who had never even met each other, interact so closely. She took a few steps and found herself in Drayden’s house. “Hey Grandpa!” she greeted.
“Iris!” Drayden exclaimed, pulling himself away from the stove. He wrapped his arms around her, genuinely happy to see her again. “How have you been?”
Iris smiled as she hugged him back. “I’m alright,” she told him. “Being a champion isn’t easy, though. I hardly get any breaks!” While this had been her second official job, the first being a gym leader, she had not expected it to be so exhausting. Every day she waited in her tower, doing nothing but sit until a new challenger approached. She had become bored out of her mind waiting and never being able to leave until the day was done or it had become the weekend.
“Breaks are hard to come by,” Drayden told her as their hug ceased. “You know, I haven’t seen you in weeks.”
Iris chuckled nervously. “Yeah, sorry about that,” she apologized. “I only get weekends off and I use that to sleep a lot. I promise I’ll visit you more, though!”
Despite his beard hiding it, Drayden smiled. “You have no idea how happy I am to hear that,” he told her. Although he had his own Pokémon to keep him company, he appreciated the time he got to spend with Iris. “How have your Pokémon been?”
“Oh right!” Iris exclaimed, pulling out her Poké Balls. She released her companions, who cheered upon seeing Drayden.
“It’s good to see you all too,” he told them, walking over to pet them. He noticed Caitlin standing in the background, holding the present in her hands. “Ah Caitlin. It’s good to see you again. How’s the Elite Four doing?”
Caitlin shrugged. “Same old same old,” she replied. “People challenge us and we usually beat them. If we don’t, then Iris does.”
Drayden chuckled as he looked at Iris. “That’s my girl,” he said proudly.
Iris looked away, feeling embarrassed. While she was happy to have a grandfather who loved her, Drayden’s admiration for her achievements felt overbearing at times. “Thanks Grandpa,” she murmured.
“By the way Iris, I made you a cake for today,” Drayden added, heading back into the kitchen. “It’s not done yet, but it will be.”
Iris’s ears perked up in anticipation. “What flavor?”
“Your favorite,” Drayden replied. “Vanilla with purple frosting.”
Iris nearly squealed with excitement, barely able to contain herself. “You remembered!” she exclaimed.
Roxie chuckled as she put a hand to her forehead. “You’re twenty-four and you still get excited like you always do,” she observed.
Iris smiled. “I guess I’ve always been that way,” she admitted. “I’m just really happy today.”
“Is anybody else joining us?” Caitlin asked Drayden.
Drayden rubbed his chin, attempting to remember. “I think that’s everybody. Dinner will be ready in half an hour.
“I can go out for a little bit,” Iris offered. “That should give you enough time to get things together.”
“That would be appreciated,” Drayden replied. “Thank you Iris.”
Iris nodded and whistled to Salamence. “Here girl,” she commanded. She and the pseudo-legendary walked out of the door to the patio, giving Salamence room to spread her wings. The pseudo-legendary walked over to Iris and allowed her to get onto the creature’s back.
Salamence petted Roxie’s back with her head, making the rock star laugh. “After all these years, she still recognizes me,” Roxie said with a grin. “Eeep!” She felt Salamence chomp down on the white fabric sticking out of her shorts. Salamence pulled her head up, lifting Roxie into the air. “Let me go!” she demanded.
“Hey Roxie,” Iris said sweetly. “Remember how I said I’d get you back for earlier?”
Roxie groaned. “You couldn’t do it yourself?” she asked as Salamence bounced her in the air. Her face became red as the pain overwhelmed her backside. Salamence took off into the air, letting Roxie dangle painfully in the air. Roxie groaned, now remembering how painful a wedgie could be. She so rarely received one that she had forgotten the sensation. She could hear Iris’s laughter as the fabric stretched beyond comprehension. On their trip across the Unova region, she could see people from various cities pointing and laughing at her. Dang it, Roxie murmured inside her thoughts. By the time they had returned to Drayden's house, Roxie’s underwear had been stretched beyond belief. Salamence released her grip on the rock star, letting her fall on her face. A trail of underwear appeared behind Roxie, embarrassing her even more than before. She quickly hid the pile of undergarments underneath her shirt and unsuccessfully attempted to tuck them back into her shorts. “Do not say a word to Drayden,” she said bitterly, causing Iris to snicker.
“It’ll be our secret,” Iris said with a wink.
Roxie then angrily knocked on the door and saw Caitlin answer the door. “You’re back,” Caitlin said, smiling. “Did Iris get you back?”
Roxie became reticent. “Unfortunately,” she admitted after some hesitation. “I don’t want to talk about it.”
Caitlin nodded in understanding as she watched Roxie and the others enter the house. She stopped Iris before the latter could set foot in the house. “How come you never mentioned Roxie before?” Caitlin asked her friend.
Iris sighed, realizing she could not get out of this. “I just wanted to keep my work life and my normal life separate. I didn’t want me being the champion to consume every part of my life... and being around Roxie makes me feel normal.”
“Do you not feel uncomfortable around me and the others?” Caitlin asked worriedly.
“Sometimes,” Iris admitted. “When I’m working, I feel so much pressure around you guys to be the best. With Roxie or Grandpa or when I’m on break, I just feel like I can just be myself.”
“I’m sorry you feel that way,” Caitlin apologized, wrapping her arms around Iris. “You can talk to me and the others whenever you need to. I’m always here for you, Iris.”
Iris smiled as she returned the hug. “Thanks, Cait. That means a lot.”
Cait nodded as their hug ceased. “Let’s go in,” she suggested. “You can finally open your present I got for you.”
“Oh yeah,” Iris remembered. “So much happened today that I almost forgot about it.”
As Caitlin entered the house, she felt a sudden surge of pain stab her posterior. “Eek!” she shrieked. She turned around to see a snickering Iris yanking on her pink underwear, the waistband stretching up to her neck. “I’m giving you that one for free,” she told Iris, attempting to keep a smile on her face.
Iris released her grip on Caitlin’s undergarments, allowing her to stuff them back into her pants. The duo went into the house where Drayden was putting on the finishing touches to the birthday cake. “Welcome back, Iris,” he said, placing the cake on the dinner table. After eating dinner at the wooden table, Iris’s friend pulled out numerous boxes. “We’ve got a few birthday presents for you,” Drayden told her.
All six of her Pokémon surrounded her in anticipation as Caitlin handed her the present from earlier. “I hope you like it,” she said cheerfully.
Iris scratched the wrapping off, revealing a black box. She opened up the box and gasped with excitement. “A necklace?!” she exclaimed, observing the purple-and-white pattern of gemstones adorning the golden chain. She wrapped the jewellry around her neck and flashed the brightest grin she had in a while. “I love it!”
“Here you go, buddy,” Roxie said as she handed Iris a CD case, which made the latter nearly jump for joy. “I made sure to find your favorite band.” While Roxie preferred heavy metal, she could appreciate Iris’s taste for pop.
“Wow,” Iris stated as stars appeared in her eyes. “I thought they sold out!”
“I got it before they ran out,” Roxie answered confidently.
“Thanks, Roxie!” she said happily as she hugged her best friend.
“Don’t forget about me,” Drayden added, making Iris bite her tongue in order to contain her excitement. He pulled from his left pocket three golden tickets.
“Is that to the Nimbasa Amusement Park?” Iris asked eagerly. Drayden gave a simple nod, making Iris want to bounce out of her chair. “Thanks, Grandpa!” she exclaimed, wrapping her arms around Drayden. “I can take you and Roxie with me sometime,” she stated before freeing her grandfather and turning to her best friend. “You excited, Roxie?”
Roxie smirked. “You know it,” she replied.
A thought popped into Iris’s head. “I feel like I forgot something,” she murmured, scratching her chin. No matter what she tried, she could not remember the details.
Roxie shrugged. “If you forgot it then it probably wasn’t that important,” she suggested.
Back at the Pokémon League, Shauntal continued to dangle in the air, experiencing the combined agony of her hanging, melvin, and atomic wedgies. “Hello?” she whimpered. “Iris? Have you come back yet?”
Inside Drayden’s house, Iris gave a small nod. “I guess you’ve got a point,” she said to Roxie. She licked her lips as her eyes focused on a certain dessert. “I’m ready for that cake.”
Drayden pulled out a cake knife and began to cut the cake. “You having a good day so far?” he asked her.
Iris’s grin grew even wider than it had all day. She looked to her friends, her Pokémon, and finally her grandfather. “With you guys around, it’s always a good day.”
