Hey, I'm back with another chapter before spring break. This chapter isn't very eventful, it's just a 4th hand recount of what happened in the first chapter, plus a talk with Dandelion about how he went about uncuffing the two sorceresses. Also flashback
Chapter 2- Regrets, and... helping hands? Potential new beginnings?
Flashback, day after the big night. 2nd POV
After he ran all the way back from the kingfisher to the R&T, told Dandelion to go to the room the two girls were in in the morning, asked for a room, and went to bed to brood, he wasn't in a good mood.
"That actually just happened, I knew that they would try to do something like that. I feel like a fool for letting Yen treat me like shit for years... Well, she shouldn't try to mess with me anymore, and if she does she'll regret it. Triss... he shouldn't have been that way to her, she looked and sounded so scared, of him... The way she pleaded for him not to hurt her stabbed at his heart, sigh. I should definitely apologize to her, but I'm not gonna go search for HER, she has to come to me." "No sense dwelling on it, they're getting exactly what they wanted to do to me, sadly Triss got herself stuck in this too..." he said to himself, decidedly.
"Triss got herself stuck in what?"
Geralt turned to see Ciri standing in the doorway, he didn't even register the door opening since he was so deep in thought.
"Come, shut the door and I'll tell you about it." Geralt said to her.
Ciri, being curious and more than happy to hear stories from her dad, shut the door and came closer to sit on the bed.
"Short version or the long?" He asked her.
"I don't care, just tell me."
"Haha, as you wish. So, yesterday morning I woke up, Triss and Yen standing over me, they invited me to come to the kingfisher that night and to bring a bottle of expensive wine... I'm sure you can see where this is going?"
Ciri had a killer grin on her face that would have put Lambert so shame, "mmhmmm." is all she said, in a what she would probably call a "purr."
"Yeah, so I got myself ready for the day, then went into town to the wine dealer. I bought some real nice wine I knew they would like, but I also stopped by the craftsman to get some 'gifts' for them." He finished the sentence with a smile.
"Ho ho, I sense trouble." Ciri said with a smirk.
"haha, well that night I went to the kingfisher, completely prepared for anything. Medallion started vibrating as soon as I entered the room, so I knew they had done something to the room. Now me knowing both of them inside and out, I had my suspicions about this, long before I entered the room. You know how jealous and competitive they are, so them both coming to me and offering the best night of my life was a bit suspicious, I mean, I don't think even Lambert would be dumb enough to go into that blindly." He finished with a laugh.
Ciri by now had such a big smile that it reached from ear to ear, and she said: "Hmm, yeah that's pretty suspicious."
"Yeah. So anyway, when I got in the room I was greeted by Yen who eagerly kissed me, yada yada yada... Well then before she could pull any of my clothes off, I stopped her and showed them the gift I got for them. They were obsessed of course, I gave em each a bracelet that had intricate patterns and colors to suit both of them. They accepted it, I slipped it on their wrists, clicked em in place, then told em they looked great..."
"Oooooooooh, got one for me?" Ciri said with a hopeful lilt.
Geralt chuckled, "No, I don't, sorry, no offense but my mind was in different places that day... and you wouldn't want one anyway."
"Why?"
"Shush, lemme finish the story."
"So they easily stripped me of my clothes, and left me in only my underwear, I let em lead me to the bed, and lay down. Triss was already laying on the bed, yeah... This is when Yen took out some manacles from a drawer, I objected with a 'hey.' And she urged for me to let her take care of me, as she put it. So I let them put em on me, which then, as I might have guessed, they walked away to the table. I wasn't too happy, so I said 'what about me?' And Yen said, "You, just got exactly what you deserved."
"HA HA HA HA!" Ciri barely got out with her limited supply of breath from laughing so hard, rolling on the bed.
"Yeah, I know, pretty funny. But then, I asked em, along the lines of 'what?' which of course she just laughed and said "Let's go, Triss." and they went to the door to leave, which she then found out was locked."
Ciri had gone from laughing, to rolling on the floor laughing, to puzzled... But that soon changed.
"So I asked her if something was wrong, and she wasn't happy. So I told her that she wasn't the only one with a plan, which of course her pride took over and she said: "Ha, nice try, but your shackled to the bed and this door won't stop me." Which of course, it wouldn't, but then again those chains wouldn't stop ME either. So I just simply cast Aard, broke em off, sat up and grabbed her. She tried to use her magic, but of course I made the bracelets dimeritium, so they were powerless!"
"AHHHHHH HA HA HA HA HA!" Ciri was laughing so loud I thought the whole inn would hear her.
"So... wh-what di-did you d-d-do?!" She said between pants of breath.
"Well after she tried to kick me I backhanded her, then shoved her on the bed and cuffed her there, they had stocked the drawer with a ton of manacles and straps... IDK for the life of me they underestimated me so much, after all they should know better than anyone that you shouldn't mess with me. Well, they know now!"
Ciri was laughing and panting so hard I thought she'd hyperventilate.
"So after I secured her on the bed, I turned to Triss. Which she was frantically trying to open the door, and I asked her if she was looking for something? And so she started frantically explaining that I had locked the door when I came in, and that the bracelets are dimeritium. Which I congratulated her for her deduction with a clap and a 'very good.' I told her they should have used dimeritium for me as well. She dove for my pants after looking at em and deducing the key to either the bracelets or the door were in them, but I of course grabbed her long before she got to em. She screamed for help, but I reminded her that she had soundproofed the room with Yen the night before. Which her face just confirmed it, and I put her on the bed too. Now the personality between Triss and Yen is very different, whereas Yen just tried to fight, kick and scream insults and threats at me when I grabbed her. Triss just looked at me and pleaded for me not to hurt her, now you're probably thinking I am a monster by now..."
Ciri just looked at me with a smirk, and said "Oh, no, this is great!"
I shook my head and continued: "I of course love Triss, sure I was very pissed off that she had gone along with Yen's plan and betrayed my trust and my love for her. But I wasn't actually gonna hurt her, which she didn't know that, unfortunately for her. I told her to take her panties and shove them in her mouth, then I commanded her to get up, which she did, with a lot of fear in her eyes, to strip, then to strip Yen. She did both with a little hesitation at first, but a slap to the ass fixed that, hee hee. I think Triss accepted her fate, because she didn't struggle at all, unlike Yen... Which got her the most of my bad attention. I absolutely ridiculed Yen, bashed her for everything bad she's done to me and for treating me so bad for years. I told her that I was thankful she didn't come find me when I lost my memory, so that I could have gotten to know Triss better and be with a women that actually cared about me. The first time we met, she trapped me, then addled my mind. So I made sure we ended on the same note, just in reverse order of receiving. I told her "look who's trapped now!" called her an evil bitch, then I used to Axii to make her scream that she's been a bad girl. Then for the cherry on top, I shoved her panties in her mouth to silence her for the rest of the night."
"Wow, mom got what was coming to her!" Ciri unexpectedly said.
"I thought you'd be upset? Ashamed of me?" Geralt asked her.
"What's wrong with it? She treated you like shit for more than 20 years, you treated her like ground up shit for a few hours. I honestly don't see the difference." Ciri explained.
"Supposed you're right..." Geralt replied.
"So anyway, then I moved my attention back to Triss, who in all honesty, was looking pretty hot right about now. Her silky red hair cascaded down all around her shoulders, her arms spread out to the side, and her luscious full breasts rose and fell with each breath. If I hadn't already told myself that I wouldn't lose it and fuck them, that I wouldn't give them that satisfaction. Then I probably would have lost it right there. But I didn't, I just walked over to her, I told her that me and Yen were done, that she wasn't innocent either in this, that she shouldn't have gone along with Yen's plan and shouldn't have taken advantage of me. But I also told her that I was happy she did, I thanked her for being there for me when I needed her, and that I was sorry I couldn't prevent her from being taken... I wasn't good enough to save her, I couldn't beat Letho. I told her that I loved her, otherwise I wouldn't have fought through half the world and gone through hell, literally, to save her in Loc Muinne. I told her that we're done, and that I wish her the best of fortune in Kovir, I told her that they will be the strongest nation in the north with her there, and that the mages will rise again with her at their head. She was crying by now, I figured she would be... I felt bad. I told her that I couldn't live with the stupid jealousy that both of them had, their stupid feud, if I couldn't have both of them, or one of them without the fighting and jealousy... Then I wouldn't chose at all, I am sick of choosing the lesser evil. I had gotten straps out from the drawer and strapped down their legs so they were spread eagle, I took em off of Triss, put back on the clothes she had, then put a blanket over her... Because I felt bad, for what I did to her. Wrapping up, I gathered my stuff, told them that they could stay there till morning to think about what they did, to me. That I would send Dandelion in to get them in the morning, and basically threatened Yen that I'd tie her up to the bed and let Dandelion get rich off of letting people do what they want with her, if she tried to get revenge on me, my friends, or Triss. I told Triss that we could talk later if she wished, but that I had made my decision. Then walked out."
"So that's what happened."
A few moments went by while I waited for Ciri's reaction, then, she erupted in laughter, and I joined her.
It went on like that for a good 30 seconds, then she said: "Geralt, you got them so good! Bravo, they got what was coming to them. Sure you could have been a little nicer to Triss, but whatever, she'll forgive you. You completely crushed any chances of Yen getting back with you, so I guarantee you that Triss wants nothing more than to earn back your forgiveness and love. You should give her another chance, she really loves you, and I wouldn't be surprised if Yen forced her to do that to you."
"Yeah she said it was Yen's idea, and I believed her..."
"See?"
"I don't know Ciri, I made it pretty clear we were over."
"Doesn't matter to her, you could have treated her 100x worse that night, and she would still try to get you to take her back. She worships you, Geralt. She was scared shitless because she looks at you like a god, and her god just turned his wrath on her."
"You'd be scared in her place too, please. I'd bet every crown I own that the entire time, Triss was contemplating to herself how she could get you to forgive her. "
"I'll give it some thought, I'm not gonna go to her though, she has to come to me and show me that she loves me and that she's sorry."
"Thank you, Geralt. I think you can expect her to come knocking on your door in the coming weeks, to apologize and try to earn your forgiveness..."
"I probably can... Thank you, Ciri, for coming here and listening. I really needed someone to talk to."
"You're more than welcome, dad, I live for these moments."
He smiled at her, and she smiled back, then she hugged him and they fell asleep.
When Geralt awoke next, Ciri was gone, it was late into the day now, so he figured she probably went downstairs to get something to eat or to go who knows where.
He got dressed, with his light gear and swords, and went downstairs to eat something.
When he got down into the main hall of the inn, Dandelion was standing talking with Priscilla and Ciri was in the corner talking to Zoltan.
He stood there for a few moments, and when Priscilla left he went over to talk to Dandelion.
"Hey Dandelion," he greeted him.
"Well, finally, I thought you'd never come out today!"
"Ha, slept pretty late since I was tired after yesterday, then Ciri came and we talked about what happened last night... By the way, what happened when you went and got the girls? Enjoy the view of the bitchy black sorceress?" He asked with a curious and humourous lilt.
"Oh, melitele, yes! She all but growled when I opened the door, I honestly did not expect to the see the two of the cuffed to the bed. I assume their plan went the wrong way..."
"Yeah, I had my own plan incase shit went the wrong way..."
"Smart my friend, but anyways, I walked in and admired the view of Yen spreadeagle on the bed, mmmmhhmmm, what a good view, please don't tell Priscilla! But I remembered that you sent me to free them not to stare, so I uncuffed Triss first, she was less than thrilled about it all, not mad, but very very sad." Geralt frowned.
Dandelion noticed this and asked why.
"I took all my anger out on Yen, but Triss got caught in the crossfire, I didn't want her to get hurt, that's why she had her clothes on... I was afraid she'd be heartbroken, I cut it off for good with both of them for what they did, or tried. I gave them the chance to get over their stupid jealous feud, but they took it the wrong way, either that or they were too prideful to get over it. I really like Triss, I couldn't care less about Yen anymore. And I won't tell Priscilla, you have my word."
"Ahhh, thank you! I'm sorry my friend, I didn't know. I understand, I took her bracelet off like you told me to and she just thanked me, frowned, then opened a portal and left. She had tears in her eyes too." Geralt frowned even more.
"Yen on the other hand, I just untied, then fearing for my life, I just tossed her the key to the bracelet and darted out of the room faster than ciri can do her flashy thing."
"Smart, Dandelion, smart." Geralt praised.
"Thanks, I thought it was too." they both laughed together.
"Anyways, thanks for untieing them, they tried to tie me to the bed and leave me but I ha my own plan and it ended up with me doing it to them."
"Figured as much," - Dandelion
"Any chance I could get a bite to eat?" Geralt asked and tossed him a few crowns.
"Sure thing my friend," Dandelion assured him then went off to tell the cooks. (A/N where are the cooks in the R&T? I mean, there literally is no room for a kitchen...)
Geralt went and sat down at a lonely table and thought about what he was gonna do about his future.
A/N: Phew, 2 chapters in a day, is that how authors get writers block? If so I need to slow down. Please R&R and tell me how I did, I know it was an uneventful chapter but I feel that this is really gonna help to set the stage for the story. I have no idea how long it will be but I hope I can make it relatively long, and most of all enjoyable. You can probably expect a lack of chapters in the next several days because I am going on spring break, please during that time send me ideas! I could really use them, and since there will probably be a small amount of people reading my story, you're ideas have a really good chance of being put into the story! Till next time!
