As Kalypso dived down into the water, Thane was right there to meet her. Immediately the dragon-taur swam along her path allowing for the two to swim and circle around together. Even for all the water resistance against his size, Thane proved to have much more prowess underwater than he seemed to have in flight.
His sharp pointed head was used to spear through the water, guiding a path for the almost serpent like movements of his body to follow behind. As Thane swam along beside Kalypso beneath the water's edge, his movements were more of that as a dolphin's, bending and propelling himself in waves. Similarly to Kalypso, Thane bent his wings so that they also worked as fins much like her own larger fins did for her. And while they swam together, testing one another's speed and maneuverability, it was apparent that the beast had a second pair of transparent eyelids to help protect his vision in the watery deep.
A smile began to creep across his sharp purple fangs as he clearly enjoyed the swim with her. While he was no match for her in straight speed, Thane did prove to be quite efficient in short quick dashes through the water. With a flap of his wings and a kicking from his powerful legs to steer, the dragon-taur could easier change directions in a moments notice. And he would use this maneuver to swim in spirals with her in a sort of dance, when she would allow him to.

That all ended when Kalypso suddenly turned her gaze deeper into the pool at something Thane had not noticed. *"I found something of interest."* She transmitted directly into his mind. It was clear from a slight inflex of his jaw that he was started by this. Although after taking only a moment to process, Thane nodded in response being unable to reply while underwater.
Rayne followed her along down through the depths until they came to a rock wall near the base of the pool. He was amazed when Kalypso could not only manifest an electrical current underwater that she could control, but that she could also shape it and direct it. However, once a sizable tunnel had been opened in the rock face, Thane waded back a bit so as not to be swept away by the current.
He looked to Kalypso with intrigue when it seemed she wanted to explore the lightless passageway. He tried not to smile too wide when she readily mounted herself upon his back, already showing becoming accustomed to riding upon his back. It certainly inspired him to not want to disappoint her.

The ride down into the tunnel was rough. As soon as Thane proceeded into the current, the dragon-taur was immediately swept away by it. As the two of them were funneled down the path of the watery vacuum, all Thane could do was curl up and take the impacts while being pinballed along the *mostly* smooth pathway. He tried to lead with his head but the tunnel was dark and the water current was fast. More than once he had picked the wrong direction according to the flow of water and crashed against a stone surface with his face. But that bothered him little as his primary concern was keeping his wings wrapped tightly around his passenger while taking the brunt of any impacts so that she wouldn't have to.
Once they were finally thrown free from the darkened water shoot, he felt Kalypso spread her wings to glide off from his back. Thane however, was in no condition to perform an agile maneuver of recovering in the air. Instead, as his eyes readjusted to the light he quickly contemplated the appearance of a solid surface nearby and angled his projectile descent to land accordingly. He crashed harshly, but maintained his balance, as his claws skid along the damp surface leaving large trail marks cut into the ground by his talons. Once his momentum finally came to halt he managed to regain his bearings. Shaking off any disorientation Thane looked around at their sunlit underground cave. His eyes took an extra moment to refocus but even though the beast was hardly to any degree injured, there was still a noticable scratch on his hip as well as a thin line of blood leaking from his nose.
