Part 24 - "Sunken Gust"

Link thought about visiting another girl with Medli. "Let's see...How about Malon? Or I could see Ruto....I don't know....Maybe Ruto....But how would she react to Medli? And I'd need a bath first.....Oh boy....Which girl will be next?..." Sitting on the edge of his bed, Medli between his legs hugging him, Link smiled. "Ruto....I'd really like to see her...." Link's face grew a bit worried. "But how will she react to Medli? I have a bad feeling about what her reaction will be like...But I'm not just going to leave Medli somewhere while I see Ruto." Link came to a final decision in his mind. "I'll bring Medli with me, and I'll deal with however Ruto reacts. I really hope she won't get mad...Although, knowing her, she'll get so mad I might have to run from her..." Link silently grinned as he remembered Ruto's rather feisty personality. "Medli, I want to ask you something." Medli stopped hugging Link, but she kept her hands on his elbows. "Were you really okay with us having sex with Saria?" He asked. Medli nodded. "I didn't mind, seeing as how close she was to you. It's okay Link, I'm fine with what we did. It was fun!" Medli grinned happily. Link smiled. "I have an idea for another place we could see if you'd like."
Medli raised an eyebrow, her big red eyes gazing into Link's curiously. "But we just came to your house, Link...We haven't been here for very long. Are you sure you want to leave already?" Link looked into her eyes. "Well....No....I miss my home. I'd like to rest here for a little while. But I'd also like to show you around Hyrule, while I can. I have a place in mind, if you'd like to see it." Medli nodded slightly, saying "Well....Okay...If you really want to go, Link. I just thought you'd like to spend some time here. After all, this is your home." Link nodded. "I love this place. It's in my heart and soul. But I can stand being away from it for another day or two. I can come here anytime, but the time you and I have is limited. I'd rather use that time to show you around. The place I want to show you is fairly close, anyway. We can get there before nightfall." Medli smiled. "What's it like?" She asked. Link smiled. "It's called Zora's Domain. That's where all the Zora's live." Medli raised an eyebrow, a curious look crossing her face. "Zora?...What's a Zora?" Link smiled at Medli's expression. "They're kind of a mix between fish and people." Medli nodded. "Ohh....I see...."
Link smiled, and continued what he was saying before. "Zora's Domain is a wonderful place, filled with water! Zoras are very nice people, Medli. I'm friends with a lot of them. I'm sure they'll be nice to you." Medli had a look of worry to her face. "I...I don't know, Link...I've never been much of a swimmer...I'm not really keen on water, I don't know why..." Medli smiled again. "I've always been more inclined towards the sky. I can't wait until I can fly...Of course, I have to wait a little longer. But that's okay." Link raised an eyebrow, thinking "Ritos can fly?" Link gazed into Medli's eyes. "If you're not comfortable going to Zora's Domain, then don't worry about it. We can just stay here, or maybe see some other place." Medli seemed to think for a bit, no words leaving her lips for a few moments. "No...I don't mind...Let's go. I'm sure I'll have fun, as long as I'm with you." Link smiled. Medli blushed slightly, coming closer to Link for a hug. Link put his arms around her. "Are you really fine with going, Medli?" Link asked. Medli nodded, the side of her face rubbing against the side of Link's. "Yeah, I'm sure..."
Link held Medli close, resting his chin on her shoulder. Medli had the side of her face against Link's collarbone, by his shoulder. They held each other silently for a few minutes, a tenderness filling their hearts. Neither of them wanted to leave the other's arms. Link was the first to speak. "We'd better get moving, Medli..." Medli giggled softly. "Alright. Let's go." Medli released Link, standing up in front of him. Link stood up, walking over to the entrance of his house. Medli followed him. Link jumped down. Medli climbed the ladder down. The two of them held hands, walking over to the exit of the Kokiri Woods. Through the large tunnel, they crossed the wooden bridge until they reached another passageway. Stepping through, they walked along the passage until they were out in Hyrule Field. Link began to lead Medli over in the direction of Zora's Domain.
Some time later, they reached the entrance to Zora's Domain. Link jumped over the small river that ran across it's entrance. Medli gained a worried face. "I don't know if I'll make the jump, Link..." Link smiled. "Sure you will. I'll catch you, don't worry." Medli took a deep breath, and jumped. Link instantly knew her feet wouldn't touch earth. He knew she wouldn't make the jump. He reached out, his hands grabbing Medli's sides in midair. Medli gasped. Link set her down. "I, ah...I saw you wouldn't make the jump." Link said with an embarrassed smile. Medli closed her eyes, smiling happily. "Thanks for catching me!" She got on her tippy toes, and Link realized she wanted a kiss. He leaned over, pressing his lips to her's, her beak-nose pressing against his cheek, but he ignored it. After a few moments, Link pulled away. Medli smiled. "Are there any more jumps on our way?" Link nodded. "A few." Medli sighed, but she was still smiling. "Are you going to catch me every time?" Link nodded. "I promise." Medli smiled, taking hold of Link's hand. "Alright, then...Let's keep going!" The two of them walked along the path, going around it's bend by the river.
They walked along, going up a small slant in the ground. A small waterfall fell by their right sides. The path took a turn to the right, but Link knew they had to jump across the small river right where they were. There was a circle of small rocks to Link's left. There was a bend in the river to Link's right. Link and Medli stood on a patch of soft dirt, another patch being on the other side of the jump. Link jumped across easily. Medli watched him. Link turned to her after the jump. "Come on, Medli! It's not a very big jump!" Medli took a few steps back, and ran forward, jumping over the river. She landed by Link. She had a surprised look on her face. "Hey, I made it!" She said, smiling. Link grinned. "There's a few more jumps, but every jump we do gets us closer." Suddenly, Link heard something splash around in the water behind him. Link's eyes widened. He spun around, his Mirror Shield in his hands. An Octorok sat in the water, and it reared it's body back. "Medli, get behind me!" Link said urgently. Medli jumped behind Link. The Octorok made a loud spitting noise as it shot a rock at him. Link raised his Mirror Shield defensively. The Octorok's rock crumbled as it rammed into his shield. Link quickly pulled out his Fairy Bow, loosing an arrow straight in the direction of the Octorok's face.
The Octorok made a shocked noise as the arrow hit it. It fell on it's back in the water, spewing up a small amount of water as it died. It closed it's eyes, sinking into the water. "What was that thing?" Medli asked. Link gritted his teeth. "An Octorok. More of a nuisance than anything else." Medli thought for a moment. "Octorok...I think I've heard of those." Link smiled at her. "There's a bunch more, but don't worry. I have an idea." Medli smiled at him. "Oh? What is it?" Link grinned slightly. "Come closer to me, Medli..." Medli blushed lightly, stepping closer to Link. "A little closer..." He murmured. Medli blushed more, stepping very close to Link. Her chest was almost touching his stomach. Link reached into his inventory and pulled out a small crystal diamond with a sphere of solid blue magic within it's core. Link held it up, closing his eyes. He focused on it in his mind until he felt a familiar draining sensation as some of his magic power was whisked away. A gentle humming noise surrounded Link. Link saw a soft blue light through his eyelids. "Link! What is that?" Medli exclaimed fearfully.
Link opened his eyes, smiling. "It's a bit of magic I got a while ago. With it, we can't be hurt. but it doesn't last forever, so..." Link put away Nayru's Love, tucking it back into his equipment. He smiled. "The next area has quite a few monsters and a lot of water, so let me pick you up, Medli..." Medli nodded. "Okay..." She softly murmured. Link got down on one knee, holding his arms out. Medli slowly eased herself down into Link's arms, her butt resting down on his right arm, her back against Link's left arm. Link held her to his body protectively as he picked her up. Medli slipped her right arm under Link's left arm, and her left arm went over Link's right shoulder, her hands on Link's back. She kept the side of her face against link's chest. Link kissed her on the forehead. "Okay, hold on tight...I'll be running pretty fast, and I really don't want to drop you..." Medli nodded. "Okay..." She said, quietly. Link walked along the path for a bit, hopping over another small river. The path widened into a large area, a river ahead of the two of them. Link knew it had many Octoroks in it. A few Blue Tektites hopped along the surface of the water. Link gritted his teeth, ready to run.
The protective crystal of Nayru's Love continued to surround him, humming peacefully. Link took off, racing across the grass to the edge of the water. The monsters grew aware of his presence. Link jumped down, splashing into the water, which went up to nearly his waist. Medli gasped, as her feet were touching the water. Link quickly raced across the water, Tektites chasing after him. Octoroks shot rocks at him angrily. Link climbed a small ledge. Back on the grass, he ran down the path alongside the water. A tree stump of some kind was beside him, and Link remembered the times he spent playing songs for the frogs. Link jumped up another ledge. To his right, across a small trickling stream of water, was another ledge. Link ran over, his feet in the water. He jumped up high, landing on the ledge with Medli still in his arms. Nayru's Love began to fade, the crystal slowly fading away, the humming it produced growing urgent. Link ran along the path, coming to a steep slant in the earth. Link forced himself to run up it. A waterfall fell to his right, over a ledge by the slant he had just run up. Link ran around a curve in the path. A wooden bridge was in front of him.
Link ran across, the sounds of a massive waterfall quickly coming to his ears. Nayru's Love faded completely. Link walked with Medli in his arms, certain that they were out of harm's way. Link walked with Medli along a path of earth that climbed up near the waterfall, and he eventually stopped in front of it, standing on a stone plaque set into the ground. "Medli, we made it..." He whispered by her ear. Medli opened her eyes. "Really?" She asked. Link nodded with a smile. Medli smiled. "Well....That wasn't so bad!" Link grinned. He put her down, Medli standing in front of him. Link began to whistle. "Left, up, right. Left, up, right." Within a few moments, the waterfall began to part, revealing a tunnel entrance set into the wall of the cliff behind the waterfall. Link smiled. "Through that tunnel is Zora's Domain. We just have to make this final jump." Medli nodded, smiling. Link ran forward a few steps, jumping through air, landing in the tunnel. Medli ran forward, jumping. Link reached out, grabbing hold of Medli when she came close enough. Medli blushed in Link's arms. Link smiled. The two of them walked through the tunnel.
Medli grinned as she walked in. Her eyes wide, she looked around with a mix of surprise and happiness. Any Zora that saw Link smiled, waving. When they saw Medli, they smiled and waved welcomingly. Within a few moments, a butler-like Zora approached them. He nodded with a dignified air, politely smiling at the two of them. Sounds of laughter and splashing drifted up from the large pool of water by the massive waterfall, across from the two of them, over to their left. The butler regarded Link with his calm eyes. "Master Link, I believe Princess Ruto said she wanted to see you the moment you came back, if you came back. Please, if you would follow me..." Link nodded, following the Zora. Medli followed, looking around. The Zora went along a few small twists in the path, until finally going up a staircase. Link followed him up it. They reached the top, entering a royal chamber. A few torches burned softly. "Link!!" Cried Ruto. Link hadn't seen her. She was off to the left, near the entrance to the room. She ran over to him, jumping into his arms, her arms wrapping around his back. Link slipped his arms under Ruto's, holding her. Within a few moments, Ruto pulled away, only to come closer to Link, kissing him.
Ruto kissed Link a few times before she spotted Medli out of the corner of her eyes. Medli stood near the top of the stairs, sadness in her eyes, looking off to the side as Link and Ruto embraced. "Who's this, Link?" Ruto asked, releasing him. Link smiled. "This is Medli. Medli, this is Ruto, princess of the Zoras." Medli smiled at Ruto, Ruto smiling back at her. "What exactly is she, Link?..." Ruto whispered. "A Rito." Link whispered. Ruto gave Link a curious look, but asked no more on the subject. "It's nice to meet you." Medli politely said, doing a small bow respectfully. Ruto smiled. "I'm kind of curious, Link...What exactly are you doing with her? I mean, are you showing her around Hyrule? Did you save her during one of your adventures? Did you bring her here to see me? What's going on?" Link smiled. If Ruto's voice had no emotion to it, her words would sound harsh and angry, possibly even hostile and controlling. But Link knew Ruto was genuinely curious as to what Medli was doing with Link. Link glanced at Medli before saying "I'm showing Medli around Hyrule. She has to leave in a bit, around two days or so, we're not really sure. I wanted to show her Zora's Domain before she had to leave."
Ruto smiled. "That's nice of you, Link." Link smiled at Ruto. Ruto bent over slightly, her eyes more at level with Medli's. "Would you mind running along for a bit? Link and I have to talk about a few things for a bit." Medli still had sadness in her eyes, but she smiled and nodded regardless. "Link, I'll just be...I don't know....Looking around." Link felt bad about Medli just being sent on her way by Ruto. Medli started walking down the long staircase down, going back the way the two had come when they followed the butler-like Zora. Before Link say something, Ruto pulled Link close and began to kiss him once more. Link kissed her a few times before he pushed her away slightly. "What's the matter?" Ruto asked, worry in her eyes. Link looked off to the side, not saying anything. Ruto stared into Link's eyes for a bit before sadly asking "Link, what's the matter? Tell me, come on...If there's anything the matter, I want to know..." Link kept his eyes trained away form Ruto's face. "It's Medli..." He quietly said. Ruto quickly glanced at the stairway before her eyes went back to Link's face. "She's gone, Link...." Link nodded, but said "Ruto....There's something going on between...Me and Medli...."
Ruto's eyes were stunned. "What?" She said, sounding a bit shocked. Link looked into Ruto's eyes. "Medli loves me...I've been showing her around Hyrule, kind of as a date...." Ruto's wide eyes stared at Link's features disbelievingly. Ruto blinked a few times. "And I think I can smell....Oh my God!...." Ruto's eyes filled with tears. "I can smell so many girls on you! Oh my God!!" Link closed his eyes. Ruto stepped back from Link a few paces. "Why?...Why?! Wasn't I special to you? Didn't our engagement mean something?....." Ruto closed her eyes, gritting her teeth in sorrow as tears fell from her eyes. "....Didn't I mean something to you?...." Link stared into Ruto's eyes. He stepped closer to her, and put his hands on her shoulders. "Ruto, you're special to me...Please don't take this as rejection, it's completely the opposite....I have you in my heart...I wouldn't have come here if you weren't...." Ruto opened her eyes, staring into Link's, tears silently falling down her face. Link continued. "Ruto, I wanted to see you again, but I wanted to bring Medli with me...Ruto, our engagement was....A strange thing, but it was cute, I liked it..." Link smiled. Ruto's eyes flashed anger.
"I didn't think it was "cute". I was serious about it. If there was ever someone I'd ever want to marry, it'd be you, Link..." Link's smile died, looking off to the side. He couldn't think of anything to say. "....I can see myself married to you...I know it would be a good life....A fun life.....I'd love to have it, but..." Link closed his eyes. Ruto's stared into his face. "Link....I just can't believe this...." Link felt sadness consume him from the inside of his mind. Ruto took Link's hand, and began to quickly walk along a nearby path, pulling Link along. Link followed her, the roaring of the waterfall filling his ears. Ruto led Link along the path that went to the waterfall, going around the curve in the stone passageway. Ruto walked right up to the edge with Link. A few people looked up and watched them. Link spotted Medli below, standing by the water's edge. She was watching the two of them curiously. "Ruto, what are we-?" Link's words were interrupted by a slap from Ruto, her hand impacting into his left cheek. Link's head twisted to the side, a hot stinging sensation instantly appearing in his cheek. The people that had watched them from below grew silent, more people looking up and watching.
Link looked at Ruto. Her face was angry, but her eyes shed tears of sadness. She grabbed Link by the shoulders, and pulled him to the side, sending him over the edge of the waterfall. A gasp arose from the people watching below. Link heard Medli scream his name. Link said nothing, plummeting into the water with a massive splash. The water consumed him. Link made no attempts to swim back to the surface. He closed his eyes. His mind went dark.
"Breathe, Link! Breathe!" "LINK!! Please, come back!!" "I'm so sorry, Link!...I don't know what came over me!! Please be okay, please be okay!"
Link saw an image of himself, but his skin was of shadows. His clothes were black, and his equipment was black. His eyes glowed fiery red. The water beneath his feet rippled. Neither of them held anything in their hands. Suddenly, Link shouted, the dark version of him doing the same. As they shouted, their left arms shot up, revealing the back of their hands. A golden glow shone out from the Triforce mark on Link's hand, while a black light blasted out from the back of Dark Link's hand. The picture froze. Link's mind went white.
Link slowly opened his eyes. "Link, you're awake!" He heard Medli say with relief beside him. Before he could do anything, Medli's face came above his. She kissed him passionately several times. When she pulled away finally, Link saw tears in her eyes. Link's throat felt a bit sore, along with a sore feeling in his left cheek, but other than that he felt fine. "I got so scared when you fell, Link...I couldn't stop crying...." Link made a confused face. "I don't understand....I've jumped from that waterfall before, but I've never gotten hurt...What happened?" Medli's face was still sad, tears in her eyes. "You moved in the air...You landed in the water headfirst....Then you didn't come up. Some Zora guys pulled you out." Link nodded. He sat up. He was on the stone platform in the royal Zora chamber, the platform you had to stand on to talk to the King Zora. Medli was on her knees beside him. She smiled happily again. She threw her arms around Link's shoulders, sobbing lightly. She held him tightly. Link closed his eyes, holding her lovingly. They held each other silently for a few minutes. Link opened his eyes. Standing off in a dark corner was Ruto, watching with a sad look on her face. Link stared at her.
After a few moments he smiled slightly. His smile didn't seem to comfort Ruto at all. She looked to the ground, a lone tear slipping down her face. Link released Medli. "Ruto, come over here." Link said, loud enough for her to hear. Ruto looked up at him, surprise on her face. Link smiled. "Come here, Ruto." Medli looked behind herself at Ruto. Ruto slowly walked over. Link stood up, Medli standing up as well. Ruto's bottom lip trembled for a moment before she burst into tears. She ran up to Link, throwing her arms around him tightly. "I'm so sorry, Link!!" Ruto sobbed out. "I don't know why I acted like that!!" Medli stood by silently. "I was just so....So....." Ruto tightened her hold on Link slightly for a few seconds. "The second you went over the edge I regretted my decision! I can't believe I did that, please forgive me Link!" Link smiled slightly, putting his arms around Ruto.
"I can't see how you could forgive me, but....Link....I love you!!" Medli's eyes widened for a second. Link smiled. "It's alright, Ruto..." Ruto gently pushed away from Link, tearfully staring into his eyes. "It's not okay, Link! I pushed you over the edge, and you...You got really hurt! You've been asleep for about two hours!" Link raised his eyebrows in mild surprise, but still smiled at Ruto. "It's okay, Ruto. I feel fine, it's okay." Ruto bit her bottom lip for a moment before saying "Are you sure?" Link nodded. "Link, I love you!!" Ruto cried out once more, coming closer to Link and hugging him again. Medli started smiling. Link smiled. Several minutes passed. Ruto relaxed, releasing Link. "I still can't believe I did what I did..." Ruto murmured. Link smiled. "It's okay, I'm fine. I'm not mad." Ruto smiled. She looked at Medli. "Link told me the two of you were romantically involved..."
Medli nodded with blush in her cheeks. "Yes..." Medli murmured softly. Ruto smiled. "Link...I....I want to try and redeem myself...I want to make you happy..." Link smiled, shaking his head. "You don't have to "redeem" yourself, Ruto. It's okay." Ruto bravely looked at Medli and boldly said "I want to have sex with Link!" Medli's eyes widened. Link raised an eyebrow. Medli stammered for a few seconds, blushing deeply. Medli was unsure of what she should say. Ruto reached out and put a hand on Medli's shoulder. "I want you with us, Medli!" Link looked into Ruto's eyes. "Ruto, it's okay, really! You don't have to do something like that!" Ruto looked at him. "....Link...." She murmured. "I have to make it up to you after what I did..." Link smiled, and said "If you really want to, fine, but you don't have to do it like that!" Ruto gained more tears in her eyes. "No, Link! No other way will do! It's the only thing I can think of that I can do to make you happy right now, so please...Just let me!" Ruto looked to the ground. "...I can't even think right now...." She closed her eyes. "I feel...So...." Ruto shook her head slowly. She looked into Link's eyes. "Just let me do this, Link...." Medli nodded. "It's okay, Link. I'm fine with it." Link looked at her. "Really?" Medli nodded with a smile. Link came closer to Ruto, and gave her a comforting kiss. Ruto kissed him back, sighing lightly through her nose as she did so. "Alright, then...Let's do it..."
Within a few minutes, the three of them were undressed, except for Ruto, who had for some reason decided to keep on the thin fabric that covered her breasts. Link smiled at the two of them, Medli and Ruto blushing deeply. Medli stared into Link's eyes, red blush in her cheeks. Ruto looked off to the side, blue blush rising in her cheeks. Link smiled at Ruto, Ruto looking into his eyes. "I really don't think this is necessary, but you think it has to be done, and Medli's fine with it, so...." Link said. Ruto tried to smile. "I know you're fine with it, Link.....I know you've forgiven me for what I did, but it just feels weird....I feel like I got your forgiveness too easily, too soon." Link was about to say something when Ruto continued. "I want to make you happy. So does Medli. Then why can't we make you happier by doing it together?" Link sighed, slowly smiling. Ruto looked to the ground. "This whole thing seems so....Strange....My feelings are going crazy right now...." Link came closer to her and kissed her. Ruto raised her arms, placing them on Link's hips.
The two of them kissed several times. Link released Ruto, her hands going down from his hips. "Just relax, Ruto....Everything's okay...." Ruto nodded. "I don't know what's up with me right now....I know I'm normally not like this, so...I don't know what's with me." Link smiled. "Just....Be calm, Ruto...." Ruto smiled slightly, nodding. Link smiled at Medli. Medli smiled back at him. "So....How are we going to do this?" Link said. Ruto and Medli looked at each other. Ruto closed her eyes. Link could tell she was still upset with herself over throwing Link over the edge of the waterfall, and was embarrassed being naked by Medli. Link smiled at Medli. Medli smiled at him, blushing deeply. Ruto glanced at the two of them. "Is this really okay? I want to do it so much, but with another girl?..." Link's face grew concerned. "Ruto, if you're having second thoughts, that's okay." Ruto shook her head. "No way am I having second thoughts! I just can't believe you'd be okay with doing this with me after I freaked out and..." Ruto's voice trailed off. Link sighed inwardly. He knew he'd have to settle Ruto's doubts and fears once and for all. He came closer to her, putting his hands on the sides of her chest, touching along her ribs.
Ruto looked into Link's eyes. Link came closer to her, kissing her. Within a few moments of kissing, Link slipped his tongue between his lips, pushing against Ruto's, and quickly slipping between them. Ruto gasped in her throat, but quickly relaxed when Link began to massage along her tongue with his own. After a few moments, he pulled away from her, whispering "Ruto, listen to me. It's fine. It really is. I'm not mad. You have a special place in my heart....There's no need to worry about anything." Ruto blushed slightly, looking off to the side. "I better have a place in your heart....You have a big one in mine, after all...." Link chuckled quietly, Ruto grinning. Link took a step back from her. "Now...Are you okay, Ruto?" Ruto nodded slowly. "I guess...." Medli smiled at Link. "I think you were wondering how we'd do this, right Link?" Link nodded. Ruto blushed deep blue, looking to the ground. "Well....I guess it's not really up to me, seeing as how you two are involved....I'm kind of like a guest with you two....Sexually speaking..." Medli smiled at Ruto. "I don't mind. You decide!" Ruto gasped lightly, looking at Medli. "Really? You don't mind?" Medli shook her head. "It's okay, really. I don't mind."
Ruto smiled happily. She looked at Link. "For a strange little girl, she sure is kind and polite, hmm?" Medli made an indignant face. "I'm not strange..." She muttered quietly. Link smiled, Ruto giggling quietly. Medli glanced between them for a few seconds before looking up at Link, her eyes wide and curious, a bit of sadness mixed in them. "...Do you think I'm strange, Link?...." Link shook his head. "No, of course not." Link knelt down, coming to eye-level with Medli. The two of them stared into each other's eyes for a few seconds before Medli realized Link was being genuine. She came closer to him, placing her hands on either side of his neck. Medli kissed Link a few times passionately. After a minute or so, Link pulled away. Medli grinned sheepishly. Link smiled, standing back up. Ruto had a shadow of impatience on her face. "Are we gonna start soon? Are we ready?" She asked.
