Ester let out a huff, waiting for a snappy remark from the mask held in Chance's possession. Thankfully, there was none. Releasing a sigh, she rolled over and fell asleep. It had been such a long day after all, fighting shadowy creatures, using an animal's body as your own. Quite the odd day.
There were no further outbursts from the Fierce Deity, and Chance fell asleep rather quickly from exhaustion. After all, they hadn't slept since before going to the Zora Hall. When he woke up the next morning, it was to the sound of a knock on the door.
"Who in Termina could be knocking so early in the-" he started, then hit a conveniently placed gossip stone. It's reaction was, ~12:00 AM~. "Holy crap! Noon already?" he jumped up and out of bed rather quickly then. "Just a second!" He yelled out the window, making sure no one was looking in at Ester's sleeping, still naked form.
putting on his clothes, he muttered to himself about making up for lost time. Walking back over to the bed, he shook Ester. "Ester... hey Ester! Get up, it's Noon! and there's someone at the door when you're still naked!"

Blearily, Ester blinked her eyes open. The sun was shining through the window, and Chance's face was very close to hers. "Mmm wha-?" she groaned, sitting up. As she did, the blanket on her fell down, revealing her breasts. Her pupils went down to see this, and at once, she grabbed the blanket and covered herself. Her cheeks were red with embarrassment. "Deku nuts... I forgot to wash my clothes last night!" She swore a little, jumping out of bed and donning the spider gut-covered clothes before opening the door. She must have looked like such a sight; hair all mussed up, goop covering her clothes, as well as them being dirty and wrinkled.

The person, or rather Deku Scrub that had knocked was none other than the small Deku boy who was part of the Bombers Club. "I heard you two saved the whole palace! So cool!" he spoke apparently without noticing her clothes being dirty at all. Chance poked his head around Ester. "So was there something you came to tell us?" he asked.
The Deku Scrub boy looked a bit disturbed at the sudden appearance of a man he didn't recognize in the same house as Ester, and after looking at Ester for a moment it apparently clicked. "Oh... ummm..." he shifted uncomfortably, then finally said, "Well I was told to give Ester this by an ex-member of the bombers, but I don't know why." and with that he produced a letter that had a seal that Chance immediately recognized as the last connection to Hyrule Link had. It was a Hylian seal on the letter, and it looked like it was urgent.
Chance immediately snatched the letter and said, "Think about this. Link's still a wolf in the Twilight. How could he write this?" At the questioning look he got, he said "I'm not saying we shouldn't read it, but Odalwa comes first. We need his help to get this world back to normal." and with that he pocketed the letter and began heading towards the place the Deku called WoodFall Temple.

Ester was surprised to see the little Deku boy from town in front of her. She couldn't help but smile; she never had a fan before! "Heh, it was nothing." Clearly, when Chance decided to join the party, the boy looked a bit confused. Ester smirked over at the Twili, then returned her sights on the Deku, who had a letter held out to them. Just as she was going to reach for it, Chance snatched it away. Turning fully to Chance, she arched a brow, "Shouldn't we read it, though? If it's not from my dad, who else would it be from?"
Unfortunately, Chance would not let her have her way, so, with a sigh, Ester followed him through the town to the temple. The place was dank, dreary, and surrounded with dark purple water. This made her curious. What kind of water was purple? It even smelled weird, like a mix of random herbs in a cooking pot. "Do you think we can swim through this?" she asked, about to stick a foot in to see what would happen.

"WAIT!" Chance yelled as Ester was about to stick her foot in the water. "That's poisonous water, I'd know that smell anywhere!" he looked around and finally found a set of Deku Scrub sized lily pads leading straight to the door of the temple. "Looks like the only way in is to use the Deku Mask." Removing the Terminan mask, he sunk into her shadow and said, "Let's go!"
When they entered the temple, the first thing to notice was a message in monster blood on the wall that read "I'm Back!" in big bold letters. chance popped out of Ester's shadow and looked around the room. "No one here, and that ominous writing. Not a good sign. Wait... is that Monster Blood? something tells me we're not the only ones in here..."
A second later, they got their answer. Something in a shadowy corner of the room moved into view.
"So you're the one that took up the 'current hero' gig, huh?" a chilling, yet somehow identical to Ester's vocal patterns voice said "I must say, when I turned into a girl, there was a moment I thought the Goddesses were playing tricks on me, but I'm not going easy on you like I did for Link. Even if you are a girl." The figure, who looked exactly like Ester, except that her clothing color scheme was black and grey, and the fact that she had piercing red eyes, drew a sword identical to Ester's blade.
"Tell you what. Beat me and I'll give you something. lose and it's you who has to part with something of yours. The victor is the one with the least amount of injuries after one minute. Unless of course you die. Deal?" And without waiting for an answer the shadowy figure ran to attempt to slice into Ester's arm.

Ester nearly jumped and fell in head first when Chance shouted. At once, she withdrew her foot, looking to the lily pads. Easily, she donned her appropriate mask and hopped across to the temple entrance, where a chilling message greeted the two of them. "Who's back?" Ester asked aloud, taking off the mask to show a curious look.
Her question was soon answered by... her own voice?? But wait, no, it was more haunting and ghostly than her voice. At once, though she felt chills go down her spine just by hearing that voice, she whipped around, sword out and ready, but nothing could have prepared her for what she saw next. It was as if her shadow had taken a life of its own, now standing before her with its own sword drawn, ready for a fight.
As it lunged at her, she yelped, blocking rather clumsily with her sword, only to have it slide off the other blade's edge. Ester took on a more steady stance, now ready to fight as she lunged at the shadowy being, swinging hard at its left leg to render it immobile.
"Not gonna happen." Shadow Ester quipped using a Hylian sheild to block the blade ... Hylian? that was the only thing different from the two besides their color scheme. Chance suddenly got an idea and donned the Terminan mask, drawing his sword and sheild as well as Shadow Ester lunged at and parried, preoccupied with the real Ester. "Hey Shadow Bitch! behind you!" He shouted. Finally, someone he could kill without making Ester question his motives or sanity. This was gonna be fun!
Shadow Ester turned just in time to get her sheild arm sliced near the elbow. crying out in pain despite being a copy of Ester, and a Shadow at that, She turned to face Chance. "Who the hell are you?"
Chance smirked. "Wouldn't you like to know!" And attempted to slice her again. this time however, Shadow Ester dodged the attack and suprisingly yelled "Why the Hell am I turned on right now?" as she turned to face Ester. Chance chose to let the two discuss this aspect rather than attack or make a witty remark.
Ester felt the harsh vibration of her sword hitting the shield with odd markings on it, very unlike the one she now took from her back. Hearing her lover's voice, she looked just in time to see a splatter of dark colored blood run down Chance's sword and the creature howled in pain.
She couldn't help but smirk; without Chance, she would *ahem* have no chance against someone who clearly had her perfectly matched. If she were like Ester's shadow, they would both know their weaknesses and strengths, therefore fighting until they either both got tired, or both gave each other a serious injury resulting in death. But with Chance here, the true Ester had the advantage.
Though the mention of being turned on by the Twili made Ester turn red with anger. "He's my boyfriend, you whore, and you certainly aren't laying a blackened finger on him!" At once, with a battle cry, she slashed at the creature's back, leaving one long, bloody mark from one shoulder to the opposite hip.
"I... I clearly need to think this through more." Shadow Ester said after crying out in pain. Turning to chance she... smiled with no hint of malice in her voice? "You win. Here. take your damn mask. Later Gorgeous!" She said, winking at chance as she vanished into the shadows.
Chance could only stare in shock at the spot where she had been standing only moments before. the fact that she had decided to surrender because of him... it didn't make sense!
Ester stared in shock, her cheeks still red. "YEAH! YOU BETTER RUN! BITCH!" she roared, shaking her fist at the heavens. Letting out a loud sigh, she arched a brow at Chance. "I seriously hope you aren't 'aroused' by that creature.... So where's that mask she was talking about?"

Chance finally came out of his trance, and answered by saying "What do you think?" pretty much dodging the question altogether. He then bent down to pick up the mask on the ground, and just like last time, his arm received a large shock, this time so much so that he blacked out for a second and fell to the ground. When he was able to stand again, he frowned. his mood seemed less jovial than usual as he said. "Now I remember exactly why your dad hates me. We need to find Odalwa and get back to Clock town so I can apologize for being such an ass to him. I don't think I'd treat me any different if I had to go through the same three days over and over, being the only one to age the entire time!" looking down at the mask, he smiled again. "The Stone Mask? Well, this is going to make things a lot easier! now only one of us has to worry about getting attacked during fights."
The rest of the trip through the Temple was relatively uneventful besides the occasional small key, a couple hundred rupees, and a reptile that breathed fire(Ironic considering the place was built out of wood). There was also some sort of frog riding a turtle that was easily delt with by Chance turning back to his small form and holding the creature in midair as Ester beat the crap out of it. The entire time however, Chance kept getting sidtract as he thought back to Shadow Ester's words. ~Later Gorgeous? does the real Ester think like her too? I mean, she's a copy, so... I-~ he thought as he accidentally almost walked into the poisonous water for the fifth time. After trekking through the place for a good hour or so, they came to a huge door with an intricately carved lock on it.
"Got the Boss key?" Chance asked Ester as they approached the door, hearing movement on the other side. "Looks like he's expecting us!" Chance half joked.

Ester gave him a look when he dodged her question. Smart idea, she thought. After all, if that female shadow thing was like her actual shadow, if he said he wasn't attracted to it, it would mean he wasn't attracted to HER, and that would get him in a heap of trouble. She let him blow it off, but when he picked up the mask, she jumped forward, catching him as he blacked out. She had a worried look on her face, but, knowing his association with masks, this would only mean he was getting his memories back.
Once he got back up, she let out a sigh of relief. But he didn't seem like himself after that. She gave a little smirk, though she didn't blame him. After all, from the sound of it, living the same 3 days over and over for who knows how long didn't sound like fun, and Chance had every right to apologize to her father.
The Temple wasn't as big as Ester had thought, but there were plenty of puzzling rooms and traps and enemies to fight through. At least Chance being there made things a bit easier to deal with. Though, he seemed distracted by something. It was quite apparent when she had to pull him out of the poison water more than twice.
Standing in front of a huge door, Ester pulled a key bigger than her head out of her bag. "Got it" she muttered, getting up on her tip toes to reach the lock. With a grunt, she turned the key, and the door opened to show a large room, and at its center, a large, colorful being with a feathery mask, sword, and shield. Ester gripped her sword, ready for a fight.
