Part 27 - "Dark Desires"

Medli was on her side, facing Link. She put her left hand on his stomach, her right hand started gently holding Link's under the sheets. Miranda also lay on her side facing Link, and she placed her right hand on his chest. Her left hand went under the pillow he had his head on, there being three pillows on the bed. The two girls closed their eyes. Link slowly closed his. But before he fully closed them, he wondered "Which girl could be next?..." An image of Navi came to him, and he slowly sighed as he drifted off into a deep and restful sleep.
He awoke to the sounds of soft giggling. Link mumbled "Wha...?" Before slowly opening his eyes. Medli sat at the end of Miranda's bed. Miranda was nowhere to be seen. Link smiled at her. Medli began to crawl over to Link. She had gotten dressed, wearing her soft blue dress. Her big beautiful red eyes gazed into Link's as she made her way over to him, slowly crawling along the bed. Link smiled when she finally crawled on top of him, her knees down on either side of Link's thighs. She placed her hands on his chest, still staring into his eyes quietly. Link gazed back into her eyes. They stared into each other's soul-windows silently for a few moments before Medli smiled, whispering "I love you..." Link smiled, whispering back "I love you, too..." Link came closer to her, sitting up slightly, pressing his lips to her's gently. They kissed softly a few times, until at least a minute or two had passed. Finally they stopped. Keeping their faces close to the other's, Link murmured "Where's Miranda?..." Medli smiled, glancing behind her towards the hallway that went off to Miranda's kitchen. "She's making breakfast...I think I can smell it...It must be close to being finished..."
Link grinned, suddenly feeling a bit hungry. He caught the light scent of the delicious food sashaying into the bedroom, teasing Link's lightly rumbling stomach. Medli heard him, giggling quietly. Link smiled embarrassingly. Medli smiled, closing her eyes. Link blushed lightly. Medli reached down, taking gentle hold of the bottom of her dress. she pulled it up slightly, so she could comfortably sit in Link's lap. Her hands still on his chest, Medli opened her eyes, gazing into Link's. Link looked back into her eyes. Medli was still smiling slightly. Link looked along her features, smiling a bit. Her beautiful red eyes, her beak-nose, her lips which he loved kissing, her soft hair and smooth skin, her brave way of speaking, the way Link feels when he talks with her, everything about her he loved. "Medli..." Link whispered. "...You're beautiful..." Medli blushed slightly. She stopped smiling, slowly bringing her face closer to Link's for another kiss. Link came a bit closer to her, closing his eyes. He felt Medli's lips gently press to his, her beak-nose gently pressing into his cheek, but not causing him any pain.
He kissed her back, Medli slowly raising her hands from Link's chest to his neck. Her hands on either side of Link's neck, gently touching him, Medli pulled away from Link's kiss after a few moments had gone by. But she came back for another. Link placed his hands on her hips, slowly rubbing along her soft dress. They kissed for a little while, before they finally pulled away. Medli was blushing slightly, and Link realized he was, too. They looked into the other's eyes for a few moments before Link murmured "I love you..." Medli didn't smile. She kept looking into his. "I love you, too..." She whispered. Link kept looking into her eyes quietly. Medli smiled a bit. "I hope your love for me never goes away, Link...I'll never stop loving you..." Link shook his head gently. "It never will, Medli...You will always be in my heart..." Medli blushed a bit. She came closer to him. The two of them shared one more kiss before Miranda stepped into the bedroom. She was dressed in the clothes she had worn the day before. She smiled when she saw them. "Food's ready." She said, surprising both Link and Medli.
Medli crawled off of Link, standing up by the bed, Link getting up as well. Link found his clothes by the bed, taking a few moments to get dressed. Miranda smiled at him. "Good morning, Link..." She said. Link smiled. Miranda looked at Medli. "Food's all at the table, so go ahead Medli, me and Link will be there in a moment." Medli nodded. "Okay!" She happily said. Medli walked off into the hallway, heading for the kitchen, the delicious scent guiding her along. As soon as Medli was around the corner, Miranda came closer to Link, kissing him passionately. Link kissed her back, Miranda placing her hands on Link's chest, gently pushing him back, but not forcefully enough that she had to take her face away from his. Link backed up a few steps, feeling his back go against the wall. Miranda kept her body close to his, her mildly large breasts squeezing against Link. Link was unused to someone taking control like that, but he didn't have a problem with it. He blushed lightly, growing a bit aroused. Miranda stopped kissing him, grinning playfully.
She reached down to the bulge growing in Link's pants, blushing as she felt along it. Link said nothing. Miranda smiled. "I want to, Link...But..." Link continued her words, saying what he felt she was going to say. "...But Medli is nearby, and you don't want to hurt her by not including her?..." Miranda nodded slightly. Link smiled. "I'm glad to see you care about her feelings..." Miranda looked off to the side, blushing lightly. Link smiled some more. "Well...I'm kind of hungry..." Miranda smiled. "Me too...I had some food left over from yesterday, but this morning I went out and got some fruit, as well..." Link smiled. "Sounds great..." Miranda stepped away from Link. She held out her hand. "It's just a few moments to the kitchen...But I'd like to hold your hand anyway..." She said, blushing. Link grinned. He held her hand, the two of them walking through the hall and into the kitchen.
Medli had already taken her seat, eating with a happy look to her face. She smiled as Link and Miranda walked into the room. Link and Miranda stopped holding hands, the two of them taking a seat at the table, Link by Medli, Miranda on Link's other side. On each plate were a few little pieces of chicken, and a small amount of mashed potatoes. There was mostly an assortment of sliced fruit, Link recognizing bananas, apples, pears, grapes, a few peaches, and a single plum, it's pieces sliced up and divided among the three plates. Each plate had a glass of purple fluid by it. Medli had already eaten her chicken and mashed potatoes, and she had already drank half of her glass. She was happily eating her fruit, seemingly enjoying her banana slices and peach pieces the most. Link ate the delicious food, not having a particular favourite, enjoying it all. He liked the sweetness that the apple slices contained, though. Miranda ate her food, starting with her fruit, happy that the others were enjoying her food. She loved the plum slices she had, wishing she had gotten more. After around half an hour, they had all finished their food. Medli had a happy look to her. "That was great! You make great meals, Miranda!" Link nodded in agreement. Miranda blushed. "Oh, come on...It's not like I made the fruit..." She said.
Medli nodded, saying "That may be so, but you prepared them, and served them with other foods you had prepared, so even though you hadn't made the fruit, it's still part of the meal you made...So....You make good food!" Miranda smiled. Link grinned. Link stood up, the two girls standing up as well. "Well, Medli...Maybe we should get going home..." Link said. Medli shrugged slightly. "Okay..." She quietly said. Miranda's eyes were a bit sad, but she nodded slightly. She placed her hands on Link's shoulders. "Link...Promise me something..." Link gazed into her eyes. "Yes, of course, anything." He said. Miranda's eyes remained sad. "Promise me you'll see me again...And try to come back sooner than this time, hmm?" Link chuckled, Miranda smiling. "I promise...I'll try and come here faster than I did this time..." Miranda's eyes lightened. "Okay...Good..." Link came closer to her, Miranda quickly realizing that he wanted to kiss her. She came closer to him, pushing her lips to his. Medli looked away, but no sadness shone in her eyes. Miranda slipped her tongue out between her lips, Link pushing out his tongue, as well. They wrapped around each other, Miranda still kissing Link, Link enjoying the feeling of their tongues playing with each other.
They kissed for a few more moments before they finally pulled away from each other. A string of their mixed saliva fell from their tongues, lightly landing on Miranda's shirt. Miranda blushed. Link smiled. Medli reached up, taking hold of Link's hand. Link looked over at her. Medli smiled. The three of them walked over to the bedroom, Link grabbing his gear, and then went down the stairs into the Bombchu Bowling Alley. The three of them walked over to the door, and just as Link opened it, Miranda took hold of his other hand. Link looked over. A tear ran down the side of Miranda's face. She bit down on her bottom lip hard. Link came closer to her, pressing his lips to her's, Miranda refraining from biting her lip any more. They kissed for a few moments. "I'll see you again soon..." He said quietly. Miranda nodded, sniffling quietly. "Yeah, okay..." She said sadly. Link felt sad to be leaving Miranda in a sad state. Miranda must have sensed his feeling, because she quickly smiled, letting go of Link's hand, reaching up to her face and wiping away her tear. "Go, Link...Come and see me again soon, okay?" Link nodded. Without another word, Link and Medli left the Bombchu Bowling Alley.
Link and Medli walked through the Market, making their way through the crowds of people. They emerged down the street of the drawbridge, slowly walking over to it. Holding hands, they walked in silence, neither of them knowing what to say to the other, feeling comfortable with silence. As they came closer to the drawbridge, Medli suddenly said "I like Miranda. She's nice." Link looked over, smiling. "I'm glad you like her." Medli looked up at Link, smiling. She held his hand softly as they walked across the lowered drawbridge. They walked into the bright sunny expanse of Hyrule Field, birds singing cheerily as they flew through the air. The soft sounds of the water running beneath the drawbridge caught Link's attention for a few short moments. They started walking across the field, heading for the Kokiri Woods. Suddenly, a bright light from the heavens shone down in front of them. Medli stared at it with sad eyes. Link gasped, not expecting it to shine down so unexpectedly. A voice, sounding like Farore, echoed out from the light. "Okay, Link...We feel that you should continue seeing girls for us...We have a few ready...Medli has to go home now..." Medli immediately burst into tears as she heard the Godesses' words. "No!!" She cried.
She grabbed hold of Link, bawling her eyes out. "I don't want to leave, please!!" Link felt sad and angry, not wanting Medli to be upset. He was angry that Farore had been so blunt with her words. "She could've mentioned Medli having to leave instead of flat-out saying she has to go home..." Link thought. Link got down on his knees, Medli putting her arms around his shoulders. "Link, I don't want to leave you! Not again!" She said sadly, tears racing down her face. Link felt some tears grow in his own eyes at hearing her so upset. "I don't want you to leave either..." He said. "Way to go, Farore. Make them cry, why don't you." "It all had to be said, Din! She does have to go home!" "You could have been a bit easier with your words, frig." "Hero, we're sorry...None of us meant to cause you or Medli any sadness...." Medli kept weeping in Link's arms. "Good job..." Link muttered. "Come on, Medli...Step into the light..." Medli said nothing, still crying. "Medli...." Medli tried calming down, looking up into Link's eyes. Link smiled slightly. "We'll see each other again...Remember what I said?...The next time we see each other, there won't be anyone else...It'll be just us..." Medli sniffled, her tears mostly stopping. "Link...I don't want to go back...I only want to be with you..."
Her eyes were serious, bravery on her face. "When I'm home, the only thing I can think of is you!...Nothing else seems important to me...All I want to do is be with you...I feel so lonely back on Dragon Roost Island....I mean....I have friends and family with me, but...My heart desires that you be with me..." Link lost his smile. "Medli...I love spending my time with you, too...You have a big part of my heart...When I'm with you, I feel really happy inside...I'd love for you to stay, but..." Link's mind was drawn to Navi. He remembered the Goddesses' words, saying that they would help Link find Navi when Medli went home. "I need to rescue an old friend...It could be dangerous...You should go home..." Medli looked up into Link's eyes with a glimmer of surprise. "An...An old friend?..." She quietly said. Link nodded. "My fairy, Navi...She might be in trouble...I need to save her..." Medli remembered Link speaking about Navi. Medli knew Navi was very important to Link. She nodded. "Okay...I hope you can help her, Link..." Link smiled. "Me too..." He quietly said. "Come, Medli..." Nayru said. Medli looked over, tears slowly crawling down her face still. She sniffled, reaching up to her face and wiping away her tears.
She nodded slightly. "O-Okay..." She quietly said. "But...Will I be able to see Link again soon?...Please?..." Neither Link nor Medli could see it, but Nayru smiled sweetly. "Of course...As soon as we can, we'll send you to Link once more...But you won't be able to spend a long amount of time together again, most likely...It would just be for a few hours..." Medli nodded. "That's enough..." She quietly said. "Link...We know where Navi is...We managed to track her down...I think you'll be surprised about what happened to her..." Link stared into the light. "Where is she?" He asked. "She's in a forest on the outskirts of Hyrule...It would take you days to travel there...Step into the light with Medli...We can send you there ourselves..." Link nodded. Medli took his hand, the two of them stepping into the light. Link got down on a knee by Medli. Medli was still crying, but she wasn't sobbing anymore. Link reached up to her face, wiping away some of her tears. Medli smiled. She came closer to Link, pressing her lips to his. While they were kissing, their vision grew white. They felt like they were flying. They faded entirely, the light from the heavens disappearing.
Link's vision went from white to black in a split second. He waited a few moments, seeing if his eyes would adjust. When his eyes had adjusted a minute later and he could see, he saw dark trees all around, going as far as his eyes could gaze. Their branches and thick leaves almost completely blotted out the sun above. "Go forward, Link...Navi isn't far..." He heard in his head. Link nodded. He started walking forward. After half an hour, Link had not seen any trace of Navi. But still he kept walking. Not a sound felt it's way out in the darkness. No birds, no wind, nothing. The only sound Link could hear was his own movements. Another thirty minutes he spent walking. Finally, Link was beginning to lose hope. "Were the Goddesses wrong?..." He thought. Suddenly, a voice called his name. "Link!" It was a feminine voice, and it didn't sound too far away. Link recognized the voice as Navi's. Link quickly walked forward, over to where he had heard the voice. There was a clearing in the trees up ahead. Link saw that the sun wasn't shining. "It must be nighttime..." He thought. Link stepped into it. The clearing was shaped like a circle. Navi was hovering in the center of the circle, not moving at all. Her small blue wings beat slowly. "No...! Link! Don't come any closer!" She cried.
Link stepped closer to her, making his way to her. "I finally found you!" He said. "Why would I not come any closer?" He asked. "It's a trap!" Navi loudly said. Suddenly, a black sphere of energy surrounded Navi, and she floated higher into the sky. The trees bunched together around the clearing, blocking off all exits. Link wasn't going anywhere. The only way he could escape is if he could jump over the trees, but he knew that was impossible. A dark figure materialized, standing on the ground beneath where Navi was floating. Not a sound came from Navi, the black sphere of energy around her seeming to block out her voice. Navi was floating high up, almost blending in with the dark sky. She floated up until she was higher than the trees around Link, which were quite high, but then she stopped. Link's eyes were staring back at the red eyes of the figure that had emerged. The figure was like a faint shadow, but with every second that went by it was growing darker, growing stronger, it's eyes growing brighter and deeper. Link unsheathed his Master Sword. The being did the same, unsheathing it's own sword. Link stepped closer to it. The figure didn't move. "Why have you taken Navi?" Link asked.
The being said nothing. "This shadow...It's starting to look familiar..." Link thought. It's body was growing darker, until it was almost completely pitch-black. It's eyes were glowing red like two hot coals, and it's face began to fully develop features. Link's eyes widened. It was him. His clothes were black, his skin dark and shadowed with evil power. No white was visible in his eyes, being completely red, glowing slightly. "You!..." Link muttered. Dark Link stared at Link emotionlessly. Link attached his Mirror Shield to his gauntlet clips, raising it up with his sword. Dark Link did the same. Dark Link began to slowly walk over to him. Link stared at him angrily. "What would you want with Navi?" Dark Link stared at Link, not making a noise. "I destroyed you in the Water Temple..." Link muttered.
At this, Dark Link shook his head. He smiled slightly, but the smile only lasted a few moments. Link and his dark equivalent were now only meters apart, the distance closing rather quickly. Link sighed, taking a deep breath. Dark Link suddenly stopped. Link looked at him. Dark Link opened his mouth and spoke, but Link couldn't understand what he was saying. It sounded like English, but Dark Link's voice was warped to the point where Link couldn't make out a single word. "What?" Link said. Dark Link raised his black Master Sword, raising his shield. Link assumed his battle stance, identical to Dark Link's. Link took in a deep breath, slowly exhaling.
Link charged towards his shadow, swinging his blade horizontally. Dark Link backflipped, avoiding Link's slash. Link kept running after him, slashing upwards vertically. Dark Link tried backflipping again, but Link was faster with his running. He slashed along the back of Dark Link's right leg. Dark Link grunted, his warped voice sounding out. When Dark Link landed his backflip, he ran towards Link, swinging his dark blade. Link raised his shield quickly, Dark Link's attack bouncing off the reflective surface of his Mirror Shield. Link stabbed forward in an arc to the side, Dark Link blocking his attack with his black shield. Link felt his sword vibrate painfully in his hand from the impact. He quickly pulled back, swinging the sword in the other direction. He spun around, catching Dark Link off-guard. Link slashed across Dark Link's chest, Dark Link jumping backwards. Dark Link looked down at himself, looking back up at Link a moment later. Link smiled. "This is going rather well!" He quickly thought.
Dark Link ran towards Link, slashing downwards. Link was surprised by the ferocity of Dark Link's attack, not even having time to raise his shield. He tried to parry with his sword, but he wasn't fast enough. He felt blinding pain shoot through him as Dark Link's blade ripped down along the front of his tunic, slicing into his skin lightly. It wasn't a deep slash, but it was deep enough to worry Link, some blood squirting out. He gritted his teeth, Dark Link quickly slashing horizontally at neck-level. Link quickly shot his hand forward, attempting to run Dark Link through on his sword. Dark Link interrupted his own attack, jumping up in the air, quickly doing a flip, landing on Link's blade. He stood on Link's sword like it was a tightrope. He crouched down, raising his sword over Link's head, ready to deliver a death-blow. Link shouted, swinging his arm over, ramming his shadow off his sword with his shield. Dark Link gasped, falling off of Link's sword. Link jumped forward, swinging his sword down in his pounce. Lying on the ground, Dark Link raised his shield, stopping Link's attack. Dark Link spun his body on the ground, kicking Link's feet out from under him.
Link collapsed as Dark Link jumped up to his feet. Dark Link ran over, stabbing down with his sword. Link rolled to the side just as Dark Link's sword plunged into the ground where Link's head had been only a split second before. Jumping up, Link charged. His body was growing sweaty. Dark Link pulled his sword up from the ground just as Link's vertical slash came down, both of thier swords clanging against each other and swinging to the sides, neither of them striking the other's body. Link kicked forward savagely, hitting Dark Link in the stomach. He stumbled backwards. Link ran forward, attempting another stab forward. Dark Link once again jumped into the air, but Link knew he wouldn't have been able to hit him with that attack anyway. His body never stopping it's movements as he moved his arm to the side in the slash, twirling his body around. After the spin, he released his sword, aiming directly for Dark Link, who was still spinning in the air. Dark Link gasped. The Master Sword pierced him through the stomach. He shouted out, his warped voice cursing in pain. Dark Link fell to the ground. White, holy lines began to spread over his skin, the Master Sword attempting to destroy him from within.
Dark Link had a look of panic to his face, using his shield to knock the sword out of him, knowing he couldn't touch it with his hands. He rolled off to the side, Link racing over and grabbing his blade. The white lines on Dark Link's skin faded. Dark Link held his shield hand over to his stomach wound. His face showed determination and anger. "What are you gonna get out of this?!" Link shouted out. Dark Link said nothing, making no movement. Link gritted his teeth, a drop of sweat rolling down the side of his face. He sprinted over to Dark Link, swinging horizontally. Dark Link raised his shield, blocking Link's attack. As he blocked it, he stabbed his sword over his shield, Link never expecting the attack. His sword stabbed deep into Link's left shoulder. Link shouted out in pain. Blood flowed down his chest. Link twirled his body, swinging Dark Link's sword away from his shoulder. He gritted his teeth. He jumped back. He held his sword behind him, focusing his mind on it. He felt some of his energy drained from him. The air around the two of them began to darken to the point where Link could barely see the red-hot of Dark Link's eyes. Link heard a soft humming as the Master Sword began to glow light blue.
He focused even more energy into it, causing it to glow bright yellow. The humming grew louder and a bit more frantic. Dark Link ran over to him, causing Link to grin. He spun around, the Master Sword letting out a nova of energy around Link, spreading outwards. Dark Link gasped, trying to jump over it. He failed, the energy blasting into him heavily. He flew back a few feet, hitting the ground and doing a roll for a few seconds before he stopped, lying there quietly. Link was panting. A few moments later, Dark Link began to stand up again. Link stared at him coldly. Dark Link looked over at Link. He moved his head to the side, a quiet cracking sound coming out. He moved his head to the right, the same noise coming out. He sprinted over to Link, clashing blades with him. A loud metallic sound echoed out. The two of them moved around the other, speedily slashing their blades through the air, trying to find a way past their enemy's weapon. Dark Link slashed down across Link's shield, Link trying to stab upwards with his sword. Dark Link jumped to the side, Link's right side now exposed to him. He plunged his blade forward, but Link stepped forward just in time.
He spun around, slashing down with his sword. Dark Link raised his shield, but the blow was so powerful Dark Link was knocked down to one knee. He slashed horizontally, cutting along Link's right thigh. Link grunted, jumping backwards. Dark Link stood up, and raced over to him again. Link slashed diagonally, but Link was surprised at what his shadow did then. Dark Link jumped over Link, doing a flip in the air, landing behind Link. He slashed horizontally, slicing along Link's upper back. Link shouted out in pain. He spun around, fury in his eyes. He ran as fast as he could, ramming into Dark Link with his shield. Dark Link stumbled back. Link slashed down on Dark Link's shield arm, slashing along his arm, even cutting along the straps that kept his dark shield in place. As his shield fell to the ground, it faded into nothingness. Now without a shield, a look of desperation began to come across Dark Link. He gripped his sword with both hands, swinging savagely. Link tried his best to fend off his shadow's attacks, but Dark Link was beating Link backwards. Dark Link saw that Link's legs were unprotected, and he slashed down at them. Link jumped backwards, but then charged forward with the point of his Master Sword aimed directly for Dark Link's heart.
Dark Link gasped, attempting to parry the attack, swinging his sword to the side, trying to hit Link's blade. He succeeded, Link's sword instead stabbing into Dark Link's arm. Dark Link cried out in pain. Link pulled out Din's Fire, focusing on his hand's palm as more energy was drained from him. Dark Link jumped backwards, but couldn't escape the flames of Link's spell. Link crouched down, a sphere of fire appearing around him, quickly spreading outwards. Dark Link was blasted backwards as flames ripped along his body. Link sprinted forward, not giving Dark Link a chance to recover. He plunged the Master Sword forward, stabbing all the way through Dark Link's chest. Dark Link's eyes widened, dropping his sword. Link pulled his blade away from his enemy, Dark Link falling to his knees. He placed his hands on the ground, panting in pain. He suddenly tried saying something, but Link once again couldn't make out his words. Dark Link began to fade, his body lightening. Link watched as he disappeared. The trees stopped being bunched together, growing apart, allowing air between them.
Link looked up towards the sky. The dark sphere of energy that had surrounded Navi faded, revealing the small blue ball of light. Navi immediately began to fly down to Link. "Oh my God, Link! Are you okay?" She asked sadly, flying around him, sadly looking at his wounds. Link winced, sitting down on the grass. "Yeah, it's nothing...But maybe a potion or two would be nice..." Navi's voice was worried. "Link...I can't believe you found me...How?..." Link smiled. "I have my ways..." He said mysteriously. Navi was silent for a few moments. "Link...We really need to get you some help..." She said sadly. "I hate seeing you hurt..." Navi whispered, Link unable to hear her small voice when she whispered. A golden glow came down from the heavens, washing over Link and Navi. "We'll take you home, Hero...And congratulations on saving Navi...." Link smiled. His mind went white.
When he could see again, he was in his home in the Kokiri Woods. Navi floated quietly around his head. He walked over to a small chest of items he kept by his bed, opening it and reaching inside. He pulled out a small vial of red fluid, pulling off the cork and downing it in one quick movement. He sighed. His wounds began to slowly close. Navi stayed by his head. "Link, is that...?" She asked, not finishing her sentence. Link nodded. "I took this vial and poured some potion in it one time. It was a long time ago, but I guess the potion doesn't go bad...I feel kind of alright now..." Link smiled. His wounds weren't completely healed, but they had begun to close, and they weren't bleeding anymore. Navi quickly said "Your clothes are cut up...And you've got blood all over you! Come on, get out of those clothes. You need to get cleaned up, and you can't walk around in slashed-up clothes." Link smiled. "I'm not covered in blood, Navi."
