Title: Disfigured One 3rd
Story
Author: illuminetto
..........
'Ryu, you've come. Are you truly sure
you are ready for the task at hand? There is still time to change
your mind.' She claimed. She was a woman of great beauty amongst her
kind, though knew she would be shunned by other races if they even
saw her. Her long hair was azure, flowing down her back. Her skin was
a fair pale complexion like that of a doll. Horns jutted from behind
her pointed ears. She was garbed in long flowing green robes like the
color of her emerald eyes. Same colored tattoo like markings ran down
from her eyes down her neck, disappearing around a ring of green
scales.
'Sister, though our kind is shunned for
our hideousness, only our power is comparable to the beasts that will
soon ravage the lands. We Dragons were once Guardians to the Earth as
the Fae are Guardians to the Sky. None will know of the attack to
come save for us, so it must be us who is ready.” He said to
his dear sister. His appearance was quite different from her own. His
hair was long and silver colored. His skin was the darkest of any of
the other dragons. His eyes were crimson like blood, as were the
tattoos and scales that lined his body. He fitted on his armor,
placing his katana by his hip through the obi around his waist.
'Ryu...I wish you would stay. The
others are too afraid of being shunned that they do not take arms to
walk the outside world. These is no true guarantee they will appear.
The Elders powers are not all seeing. You will truly be alone if you
take this path, but you are the most bravest and determined of the
others...even myself.' She spoke softly, holding back tears. Ryu
hugged her, kissing her brow.
'Be safe my sister and live a long
happy life. I will take the burden of responsibility. No matter how
alone, I will not falter for everyone depends on me, not just our
kind. I will be the world's weapon. Even over my own petty desires.'
He left then, to the outside world where his many hardships would
await.
..........
On the top of the highest mountains did
the Fae reside. He wandered on taloned feet. His armor bore the signs
of many hard battles, though he was completely covered in a black
cloak at the moment so that he could wander in the daytime. Not many
seemed to give thought about him until he had been long gone from
certain villages and cities. The Beasts performed great tragedies
upon the land already, more fast spread than he had originally
thought. But it proved his Elders had seen correctly in their
visions. The terrifying creatures hid amongst the masses of the other
races, having killed and occupying the body of whomever they pleased.
Lately they took on the forms of those who held some form of power
and authority, to make their influence greater.
Rumor was spreading far and wide of a
mysterious swordsman garbed in foreign and exotic wares of armor.
They said he looked just as monstrous as the Beasts themselves. He
stayed for only a few sparse days and nights in towns and cities
usually in the cover of darkness even with the cloak. Few people had
ever interacted with him as he had made it a point to keep his
distance so that no one could fear him if they did not know him.
'So...that is the Fae's main city. This
is it. I've held out for this long already...just a little more.' His
voice was tired but within his crimson eyes there was always that
small glimmer of hope residing in their depth. Using his advanced
senses he saw that the entire city was on lock down, and many
travelers were being checked. This disheartened him, but he already
had a way to get out of such a situation. He scaled the walls with
claws and talons. Getting to the castle itself would prove trickier.
With speed and stealth was he able to arrive through an open window.
He was like the shadows, clinging to the darkness about any portion
of the halls and other rooms he could find large enough to cover him.
He would gaze at anyone he could, trying to discern anyone as another
demon in disguise. Unfortunately, later Beasts escaped his superior
senses meaning they had impressive amounts of power and the
intelligence to not flaunt it so easily as some others would. He
heard foot steps just ahead of him. The timing could not have been
worst as he stood between two windows with little shadow to provide.
He jumped to the ceiling and embedded the cluster of sharp spikes
from his back into the ceiling as well as his claws to flatten
himself to it as much as possible.
He held his breath when he caught sight
of the most beautiful Fae he had ever seen: The Queen. Her golden
hair shimmered pleasantly, tied up in a neat bun in the back of her
head. She wore a small crown upon her head. She wore a gorgeous white
dress, complimenting the attractive complexion of her face and her
large wings. Her child was right next to her, almost like a miniature
version of the vision of loveliness save for the fact that she wore a
tiara instead of a crown.
'Mommy, daddy's been acting strange
lately.' The little girl spoke, looking at her mother.
'Oh? How so, dear?' The queen asked.
Her voiced was somewhat strain. As if she was already aware, but
didn't want her daughter to know. Or so it seemed to him.
'Daddy never comes to see me anymore.
He always sneaks out with black clothing at night. What does he do
out there mommy?' She asks in curiosity. The Queen let's out a sigh.
'I'm not sure Sara dear. Mommy will
have a talk with him, okay honey? Be a good girl and go play outside
with Momo and Lin, okay?' She spots a maid and instructs her to take
Sara to her caretakers, or so he believes. He decides to trail the
Queen and see her husband, the King. Maybe higher ranked persons
would lead him in the right direction. She stood before two wide
doors. The guards saluted to her.
'Your Majesty, the King is not done
with his meeting yet...' No sooner had he said that did the large
doors open. The King stood there in all his regal glory. He was a
good few years older than his wife, but remained quite youthful
looking and handsome, though only in appearance. His eyes were cold,
colder than ice. The Queen cringed slightly upon gazing at him. Ryu
was disturbed. The King's demeanor was robotic, as if he were not
really alive.
'Yes, my dear? Is there something you
need?' He asked her, yet his voice lacked any concern. The General
walked out soon after the King had.
'Your Majesty, please...we must
increase security even further. Even if they are only rumors, the
tales of the demons and that swordsman keep spreading. People are not
content with how you are not showing more concern on the situation,
as am I. I do not wish to seem as if I am judging you, but you must
do something. Something more.' The grizzled warrior said. The King
remained unconcerned.
'General, security is tight enough. If
too tight, the masses will not even have enough room to live life
they so desperately wish to. Leave them be.' He said simply. The
Queen decided to speak now.
'General, please do what you feel is
necessary for our safety. I wish to speak to the King privately.' She
said softly. The General did not want to, but complied and left.
'Nina, my dear, I do not have time for
this.' The King spoke in that same deadpan voice. Nina felt like
giving in but did not.
'Please, only for a little bit. This
will not take long.' She tried again. The King did not answer
immediately, walking back to the meeting room.
'Very well, but please hurry.' He said.
She walked in then, and before the doors could be closed, Ryu
proceeded in through the tall arc of the door. Now it was just the
three of them, in the somewhat dim room. There was a window, but the
curtains were drawn over it, and the room was lighted only with
candles.
'So, what is it that you want, my
dear?' He asked, though he did not turn to face her.
'I want to know what's gotten in to
you. These past several months you've been avoiding Sara like the
plague. You've been doing the same of me as well. You never come to
bed with me anymore nor do you kiss our daughter good night. Is there
someone else? Someone more important that your wife or daughter?' She
could barely conceal her emotions of anger and confusion, tiny hands
balled into tight fists. The King did not seemed phased by her in the
slightest.
'That is not true, Nina.' Was all he
said
'Then tell me what it is you've been
doing sneaking out at night. You don't even tell us you love us or
care for us. What's been going on with you?' She was glaring at his
back. He still stood as unmoving as a statue, revealing nothing.
Betraying nothing.
'Well? Haven't you anything to say? You
can't even turn to face me now too, is that it?' Her voice was
rising.
'IS THAT IT?!?!' She screamed now in
her fury. Ryu's heart bled for her. To have a loved one not love you
anymore must have been terrible. All he ever had was his sister, and
though they had their differences, they could still turn to each
other. He snapped out of his reverie when he saw the King's body snap
to attention suddenly before settling down.
'So...you really are here.
Oh great monster.
Oh terrifying Dragon.'
The King spoke now with emotion. Of excitement, of eagerness. He was
coming alive. Nina looked at him confused. He drew the broadsword
from his sheath.
..........
A hefty
explosion sounded as the tower collapsed. Ryu held Nina close to him
as he fell all the way down, landing soundly in the courtyard. Nina
looked to her savior, not being able to identify his race.
'MOMMY!!' Sara's
scream sounded from across the courtyard. Ryu placed Nina on her
feet.
'Get your
daughter out of here.' He said curtly. He roared when a wave of
energy cut into him, sending his body careening with one of the
castle's wall. The King flew down, landing softly to the ground. His
eyes were gleaming with the lust for combat. A smirk was on his lips.
'Great
Tyrant. Death God.
It's so nice to meet you
finally. My people speak about you
too, almighty Warrior.
Legendary Nikanoru.'
The King kept walking towards the cloud of dust that rose up from the
destructive attack. The Fae's military was already out there, but the
King commanded that they stand down. Ryu stood up, eyes burning.
Flames consumed his tattoos and scales. He drew his own weapon.
'It would seem
our opinions of each other are the same. Only the Demons would have
such power. It's ashame how such a great monarch was taken over by
one such as yourself.' The Dragon said in a calm level voice.
'Indeed. My God
ordered this of me and so I do it willingly, though. I am not so vain
in my power as the rest of my brethren. The King died a quick and
painless death. I am Barubary. And you...' His sword was aimed at his
opponent's throat.
'...you are one
of the fabled Guardians of the Earth. Responsible for sealing my God
in the first place.' A dark aura surrounded him.
'I am Ryu.
Indeed I am of the so called fabled Dragons you speak of. Your kind
cannot be the allowed to cause the havoc and chaos once more.' The
flames grew more intense.
'Prove that to
me not with words...' He was in front of the Dragon in an instant,
sword thrust forward. Ryu brought his blade up to make Barubary's
weapon deflect away from him.
'...but by
action.' Their blades sparked under intense pressure as either one
was not planning to give ground to the other. Ryu finally pulled back
to make Barubary go off balance, but the Demon was as quick in reflex
as the Dragon. He guarded the strike and retaliated with his own.
Their dance of blades ripped through the very Castle's foundation.
The residence were called to retreat. Ryu tried his best keep the
fight in the castle. They had just ended outside the Castle's gates
when Ryu found his decisive blow. He had led Barubary to feel as if
he were overpowering the Dragon steadily over the course of battle
and finally Barubary felt he saw his own chance, overstepping with a
powerful downward slash that Ryu evaded last second. The broadsword
embedded in the ground, too deeply to be taken out quickly. Ryu
rushed forward, weapon reared back. He cut cleanly through the
Demon's head, so clean that the head did not even fly off in a random
direction. Blood sprayed from his neck a he fell to the ground, head
finally separating. Ryu knew that he was not completely finished yet.
He looked to the Queen who had covered her daughter's eyes from
seeing the bloodied sight of what had been her father now dead in his
own blood. He gave her a sympathetic look.
'Don't let her
see the rest of this...' He gripped his sword tighter. The King's
body exploded in blood and flesh and did the great monster Barubary
shown his true form. Ryu peered at the massive Demon, in awe of the
great power Barubary possessed. Truly the most powerful he had ever
felt.
'Yes...your
skill is great and your power magnificent, Ryu. Nikanoru...show me
more.' He swept great claws at the Dragon, who barely had time to
react and bring up his sword to defend. The katana had been through
so much already, the blade shattered and Ryu was struck down. His
claws and talons dug into the ground to slow his momentum.
'Barubary...you
are indeed the most powerful I have ever faced.' Ryu said. Barubary's
three eyes gazed at the Dragon's body.
'All those scars
that mar your flesh. You have truly dedicated yourself to the cause
of our destruction. I'd dare say even most Dragons themselves could
not survive such wounds as even you've survived. You will truly be a
challenge to me, the testament of what has been branded all over your
body proves that to me.' Barubary growled in his delight. Ryu flexed
his claws.
'Beings like you
and I were not meant for this little world, Barubary. All we would do
is destroy the very core of the world with sheer power and strength
of will alone.' Ryu rushed at the great Beast, their claws connecting
and sending an explosion of sparks with each passing blow. Barubary's
tail whipped around, sending Ryu into a few buildings and destroying
them upon impact. The Fae could only watch helplessly as their
magnificent city was being bulldozed to nothingness by the two great
titans. Ryu was steadily losing, Barubary's carapace too strong to
crack through. Ryu hit the ground hard with a devastating blow from
Barubary's body, ramming him several feet away. The great Demon
advanced to Ryu's fallen form, only to be struck by an impressive ice
spell. It slowed his progress little but got his attention as the
Queen stood protectively over the Dragon.
'Oh, the Queen
Nina is quite brave. Quite foolish as well.' Barubary said in
amusement. Nina held her ground.
'I will not
stand idly any longer. You've killed my husband, taken my daughter's
father away from her, taken our race's great King from his people,
and now you take our city with your destructive nature.
Unforgivable.' Her eyes were steel in their resolve.
'Do not
interfere, your Highness. Do not give another reason to take away a
girl's mother from her too. Don't give a reason for the Fae to lose
their Queen...' Ryu was standing up once more, crimson eyes staring
at Barubary.
'...let this
Dragon be the sacrifice. For he is as unimportant as a speck of dust
to you. Nameless and worthless. Disfigured monstrosity, who has
abandoned even his own race if only for the world's survival.' Ryu's
eyes burned hotter. He held onto his hope, that his sacrifice was
necessary. The ground trembled and quaked. He yelled to the sky,
wails of pain becoming a roar of power. His wings burst further from
his back, his horns grew out even more. His body enlarged, the flames
becoming more and more intense as they danced about him. Nina had
been forced to retreat from him, the heat melting everything in a
small radius. The fabled Dragon had emerged, just as much a giant now
as Barubary.
'Oh...Nikanoru.
Amazing Nikanoru. So your true self has emerged. Ryu the Dragon. I
wonder if my God had been this afraid to behold the form of
Nikanoru.' Barubary's body gathered power, just as Ryu's was. They
inhaled their breaths, planning to release a beam of almighty
destruction. The Dragon rose higher in the air.
'RWAAA!!!!' The
crimson flames lighted the sky just like a miniature sun. The red
blaze expanded and pulsed, each trying to overtake the other. Finally
Ryu's overtook Barubary. His powerful carapace melted into tender
flesh and Barubary screamed in his pain. A plume of smoke rose from
the aftermath. Ryu fell to the surface, back into his slight humanoid
form. He hit the ground not too far from Barubary's blackened charred
dying body.
'Heh...Ryu...Nikanoru...only
one more sacrifice was needed...I will be that sacrifice...my God
will walk the world again from the Seal of the Tyranny in a few short
years.' Barubary softly remarked, breaths heaving.
'That's
impossible...it would have taken the deaths of a hundred powerful
Dragons to release that seal. None were sacrificed.' Ryu reasoned.
Barubary laughed.
'My God found a
way to transfer the power of sacrifice to a hundred powerful Demons.
If you had been killed, it would have made no difference. Another
Dragon would have appeared. Weather your kind or our kind, my God
would be freed.' Barubary laughed more, taking his final breath.
Ryu's eyes closed, fatigue overtaking him.
..........
'Where...am...I...?'
He woke up, the scene was foreign to him. He was in a dimly lit room
resting in a small cot. He was dressed in simple Fae garbs, what
little remaining of his armor and destroyed sword was put in a corner
of the room. His body ached terribly, but he stood up anyway. He
limped to the door, opening it. The building was not in the best of
shape, with many large cracks and splintered wood.
'So your awake,
Dragon Warrior.' Nina sat in a small chair, her daughter cradled in
her lap asleep. Ryu bowed in his respect.
'Your Highness,
I apologize right here and now for the blow dealt to your people and
great city. I will leave as soon as possible.' He was rather
bewildered that she didn't seem to show any fear of him like so many
of his ancestors claimed the other races would show. Why was that?
'There is no
need to bow down to me. It should be I who bows to you. Many more
dangerous and horrific things would have befallen this world had you
not taken up arms and did what you did. It is as the creature said:
you gave up so much to help our world. Why then did you belittle
yourself before me like that? Speaking as if your life meant nothing?
You are no weapon, but a living, breathing being that bleeds as we
do.' Her voice was concerned as she beheld his gaze.
'It is easier to
shoulder burden when one is unfeeling as a weapon. That is what kept
me pushing forward in my journey.' He spoke truthfully.
'Be that as it
may, one cannot remain like that for so long. Aren't there dreams
that you yourself have? That you want?' Her words made him think back
to the last moment with his sister. He had been adamant about telling
his sister of what his dreams were, ever. Yet this Fae he had barely
known seemed to make him want to spill his heart out to her. He
remained strong, letting only a few words slip out.
'The only thing
I ever wanted was to be with someone I loved and loved me for myself.
Such a desire is a fantasy, however. Everyone wishes for such a thing
at least once in their life.' He turned away.
'I do not wish
to be rude, your Highness, but my wounds agitate me. I will retire
for more rest.' He didn't want to be rude, but he did not want her to
steer him from his path. The Demon's God still awaited, ready to
break free from the seal in only a few years. His resolve needed to
be greater than anything. He rested up for a long while, not sure
exactly how long. His senses alerted him instantly when someone was
entering the room. It was the Queen, though dressed in simple silk
clothing and golden hair undone from it's bun to flow freely about
her.
'Highness, is
something the matter?' He was sitting up now.
'There is no
need for the formalities. You may call me Nina.' She stepped closer
to his location.
'But we are not
that familiar. I came suddenly one day and killed a Demon that took
over your husband's corpse and tried to masquerade as him.' This was
the truth as far as he knew.
'If you feel you
can't drop the formalities than that is fine. I just came here more
out of curiosity that anything else. How are you wounds feeling?' She
took a seat in a small chair by the cot. Ryu rotated his sword arm.
'My wounds heal
quickly. Nothing is out of place with myself.' He said softly.
'Ryu...may I ask
how you knew of the Demons plans and what connection they might have
with you?' She smoothed out a few wrinkles from her skirt.
'I was told by
the Dragon Elders. The have limited power of foresight and saw broken
and disjointed visions but pointed to the revival of the Demon's
terrifying God. Sure, the Elders might have been wrong, but because
they seldom are, I took up the task and strengthened both body and
soul for the task. No one knows what the God looks like, or if it is
male or female. All I know is that it's power is beyond all known
limits. Barubary did not refer to his God by any kind of gender. When
the world was younger, the Demons caused havoc and discord upon the
world, and we were much more ill prepared for them at that time. Our
kind was barely able to save all the others.'
'You did all
this based on broken visions who you could not even be sure if they
were true or not?'
'I was the
strongest of my kind and felt it was necessary to risk being
separated from my people to find the truth. The Elders turned out to
be right, and that is all that matters. I will stop their God's
resurrection.' His voice was strong in it's conviction, and his eyes
burned fiercely, his mind so focused on his mission rather than
anything else. Nina had never known anyone who could commit so
selflessly for the world. This Dragon was indeed a true hero, never
wanting to be but taking up the mantle because he was determined
enough to do it. Determined to shoulder the burden even though it was
a thankless job that would earn him nothing in return.
'Someone like
you...can truly save this world.' Her words were soft. He would
disappear from this city soon as he had from all the others. He would
not ask for any thanks, continuing to find the Seal of Tyranny
Barubary mentioned.
'I'm honored to
know you believe so. I've never talked to any of the races for this
long, but our conversation felt pleasant to me. If it had been under
better circumstances, I believe our conversation could have been of a
lighter ad happier tone.' He returned to laying down, eyes closing.
She had decided she would give her thanks, and perhaps give in to
some of her own selfish desire. To be loved again. His keen hearing
caught as she stood up, and the rustling of her clothing as it fell
free to the ground.
'What...? What
are you doing?' His eyes were opened now, beholding her naked glory.
He held his composure as best he could. His eyes began wandering of
their own accord.
'Ryu, I will
show you love between a man and a woman. It is the least I can do.'
She leaned closer into him, cutting anything he might say as she
sealed his lips with her own. He grabbed hold of her shoulders, ready
to throw her off of him as he did not want this at first. Perhaps her
womanly charms had already taken hold, for he could not pull away as
she deepened the kiss, her tongue caressing his own to coax it to
action. He began to kiss her back, loving the feel of her soft lips
against his. She began to unbutton the shirt he had been given,
allowing her view of his toned body that was marred with the many
jagged scars gained from his previous bouts with other Demons before
Barubary. His red tattoo markings began to glow softly in his
pleasure as she ran lithe fingers across corded muscles, smooth skin,
and rough scar tissue. The markings were even warmer in comparison to
the rest of his skin.
'Nina...' He
could only moan out once their lips parted.
'Ryu, there is
no reason to be afraid. You can touch me if you want.' She said
softly back, guiding his hands from her shoulders to her large
breasts. He beheld the soft mounds of flesh with a childish
curiosity, proving to her even further that he was still a virgin,
never had he asked for a woman's love. It only told her further of
the dedication he had within to fight for the world. His scaled hands
were surprisingly soft, and he was very careful with the pressure
applied with his claws. He brought the nipples to his mouth, sucking
softly on them. Nina sounded out her approval, pushing his face
closer against her tits. Her one free hand undid his pants, and her
hand found his hardened member underneath the clothing. He hissed out
at the sensation. She continued to stroke at it, spurred on by his
sounds of approval.
'Damn...to think
it would feel this good...' He could barely get the words out in his
throngs of pleasure.
'I'm glad you
think so, Ryu.' She began to lightly kiss and nibble on his neck,
passing the ring of scales to reach his chest, kissing at the scars.
His breathing became faster once her face came down to where her hand
was still occupying his member. She blew over the tip with her hot
breath, making his whole body shiver. She began licking it,
lubricating the whole shaft. He groaned out, thrusting his hips
towards her face on reflex. She engulfed his member, the warmness of
her mouth encompassing him while her tongue swirled over the
sensitive head. She could already taste the pre-come from the tip as
she licked at it. She knew he was likely to release soon as it was
his first time. True to speculation, his shaft tightened and he
gritted his teeth as if willing his member to not come yet.
'Nina,
stop...I...feel so close...' His breathing became more erratic. Nina
disengaged her mouth.
'It's alright,
Ryu. Come for me.' She held his gaze with her own.
'But...' He was
still hesitant. She ignored his words and continued with her
ministrations until he could resist no more. He let out a blissful
roar as he released into her waiting mouth. The semen spattered
inside her mouth, some dribbling down her lips. She disengaged him
again, more of the white fluid dripping from her mouth and onto her
breasts. He was still hard, his come falling over her breasts as
well. His breathing was ragged as he experienced orgasm for the first
time.
'See? Harmless.'
She spoke softly after swallowing what was still left in her mouth.
'Your still hard too it seems.' She stood up before straddling him on
the small cot, grabbing hold of his erection and guiding it towards
the entrance of her nether lips. She impaled herself on his length
soon after, letting out a content sigh as he filled her.
'So warm...' He
breathed out. She began to move as she rode him, her body moving up
and down. He gave into this intimate moment, grasping hold of her
hips as he steadily increased the pace. His mouth kept busy with
sucking her nipples, earning her further encouragement as she moaned
louder.
'It feels
wonderful, Ryu.' She gasped out.
'I...coming...again.'
he thrust even faster into her.
'Me, too.' She
breathed, lowering her face and kissing him. They both moaned in each
other's mouths as they came together.
..........
'I thank you for
your hospitality, your highness. I cannot repay you however.' Ryu
looked towards the setting sun, garbed in his drab black cloak
swaying in the wind.
'Thanks aren't
necessary. You are trying to save our world. I hope you are able to
find the seal.' She said. Sara played with Momo and Lin a little
further down from their location.
'Make no
mistake. I will find the Seal of Tyranny and destroy the Demon's God'
His voice was thick with his determination.
'Yes. If anyone
can, it will be you Ryu.' She believed in his words to the fullest.
'Our time with
one another was short. I will cherish that time though. Thank you.'
He offered her a smile. She followed suit.
'Like I said,
thanks aren't necessary.'
'Then I take my
leave.'
'I hope I will
get to meet you again Ryu. The Dragon Warrior.'
'Farewell' He
walked once more amongst the shadows of night as the moon rose and
the sun set. His search for a demented God now began.
