A couple of hours later Zelda came into the bedroom with a solemn look in her eyes. This made me worry and think of the worst possible outcome. A smile cracked across her face and I raised my eyebrow curiously at her.
“Stop worrying you worry wart, he’s going to be fine,” she slightly giggled. “I bandaged him all up and gave him some red heart potion to help with a quick recovery.” Every muscle in my body relaxed when I heard her say he’d be alright. The entire time she was out there fixing him up, I was pacing, worrying, and almost crying at one point. I finally sat down on the bed and relaxed. Zelda came over and sat next to me. She put her hand on mine and smiled softly at me. “Now that you can relax, please tell me what happened,” she pleaded, squeezing my hand. “Please.” I sighed and looked at the ground for a moment, biting my lip out of being nervous. I looked back at Zelda and saw that she really wanted to know what was going on, especially why I was so worried over Ghirahim. “I promise that I won’t be upset, just please tell me what happened,” she begged. I squeezed my eyes shut and took a deep breath and spilled everything to her. I told her all about the previous night with Ghirahim and what happened the morning afterward as well. I burst into tears while explaining it, especially when I admitted that I was utterly confused on how I should feel. She hugged me tightly while I cried, and pulled away slightly after I finished explaining things. “I can’t decide how you feel,” She said half smiling. She placed her hand firmly in the center of my chest. “But whatever you decide, make sure it’s from here.” I looked down at her hand and nodded, while I put my hand on top of hers. That’s when how tired I really was hit me like a freight train. It was obvious that Zelda could see just how tired I was by the look on her face. “Now you get some sleep mister,” she said, smiling as she stood up. I nodded and laid down in the bed, this time I was having a hard time staying awake. Zelda threw the covers over me, and just before I drifted off into a deep slumber, I saw her walk out of the room with a smile on her face. Then sleep over took me and the real world fade out. When I awoke it was daylight outside and the sun was shining in right on my face. I slowly sit up and look around the room to notice that Zelda was nowhere to be found. She probably already got up, I thought to myself. I swing my legs over the edge of the bed and slip my boots on to walk out to the living room. What I see when I walk out stops me dead in my tracks. Ghirahim and Zelda were sitting across from each other, laughing over a cup of coffee. I can’t bring myself to say anything; I just stood there looking like an idiot. That’s when the bedroom door finally shut rather loudly behind me. They both stop what they are doing and look at me, and for a moment it was so quite you could probably hear the leaves falling in the forest. Ghirahim was the first to speak up and say something. “Good morning Sky Child,” he smiled widely as he said that. I had half expected him to have left once he was better but for some reason I was slightly relieved that he was still here. I unconsciously smiled back at him. “So you’re finally awake sleepy head,” Zelda giggled as she looked at both Ghirahim and me. “How long was I out?” I asked curiously. “About 12 hours,” Ghirahim replied. “There was nothing that could wake you. At one point we checked if you were still alive because you were breathing so lightly.” “Wow, I was that deep asleep?” I almost didn’t believe it. I saw Zelda rise out of her seat and walk past me. “You boys really need to talk some things out, I’ll be in the other room if you need me,” She giggled, and then left the room. It was silent for a good five minutes after she left the room, neither me nor Ghirahim said a word. I finally work up the courage to go sit next to him on the couch. “I’m sorry,” he mutters, choking back tears as I sit next to him. “I’m sorry for doing all those things to you against your will.” At first I can’t think of anything to say in response to what he just said. I could hear the pain in his voice as he said it, which made me feel worse about the entire situation. I open my mouth to say something but then bite my lip not sure if I should say it. I look at him and he is looking at the ground with a sorrow filled expression. He must be expecting the worst from me, I thought. My heart twinges as I thought that. “I’m sorry too, for being so brutal to you afterwards,” I sighed. This response obviously took him by surprise judging by the expression on his face. It looked like it was his turn to be speechless. “Does that mean… do you…?” he stuttered while looking at me with a face full of surprise. “Now, now, don’t get ahead of yourself,” I half laugh. “I still don’t really understand how I feel about this situation so don’t get your hopes up just yet.” Ghirahim laughed slightly, “Alright how about a truce for now?” He asked this while smiling and extending his hand to me. “Alright that’s good for me,” I said and grabbed his hand and shook it. “It’s good to see that you two have worked things out for the most part,” Zelda giggled as she came back into the room. We both glanced at her when she walked in. She looked at Ghirahim as her demeanor quickly changed to a solemn one. “Now you need to tell us what happened to you last night.” I let go off Ghirahim’s hand and looked at him curiously, wondering exactly what had happened to him last night. Ghirahim ran his fingers through his hair and sighed heavily. His face was an unhappy one once again. Zelda came to sit across from him like she was when I had come out. He took a deep breath and then began to speak, “Demise found out about my feelings and what I had done to you Sky Child.” He looked up at me with sad, pained eyes. “Demise decided to punish me for my treacherous acts and feelings… He was going to kill me and then come kill you two. I was barely able to fend him off to come here to warn you.” My eyes grew wide, “When will he be here?” “It won’t take him long to heal from the injuries that I inflicted on him. I suspect he’ll be here in a day or two, and he will be full of wrath and killing intent.” “This is bad,” Zelda began. “Link doesn’t even have the fully powered master sword with him anymore. How will he defeat him this time?!”While AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
