Part 3 - "Ruto"

"Tomorrow I'm going to go to Zora's Domain. I wonder how Ruto's been doing?...." Link thought as he drifted to sleep. He dreamt of the gilled princess, and wanted to see her seductive smile again. Link awoke the next morning, and peeked out the window. The sun was just starting to rise, but already Link could hear the tell-tale rooster crow. He grabbed his things and walked outside. As soon as he stepped outside onto the beautiful green grass, Malon ran up and threw her arms around him. "Link! I'm so glad we did what we did last night. I..." Her face grew red. Link knew what she wanted to say. He flicked her forehead. "I know you do, Malon. But I have to go. I'll be back soon. I'll come see you again when this is all done." Malon held him close for a few moments before saying. "...Alright. But you better come back to me, fairyb-Heh. I mean, come back to me after, Link." Link smiled and promised her. He left the Ranch.
"It was good seeing Malon again," Link thought. He began to walk down the path towards Zora's Domain. As he neared the small creek just before the entrance, he heard a cackling behind him. It was a Poe! Link quickly pulled out his bow and took aim. The Poe let out a small ball of fire before it disappeared, only to taunt him again later. Link jumped to the side as the fire hit the ground. "I'll get you back later, you ghost." Link thought angrily as he jumped the creek. He walked past the two stone posts, and made his usual jump/swim across the many ledges and pools of water in his way. As he began to walk across the small bridge, he noticed it wasn't snowing like it usually did. He continued to walk until her went up a ledge and was standing in front of the great waterfall. He played Zelda's Lullaby, and jumped across the gap into the entrance. Link could hear splashing inside. His eyes widened as he ran inside.
Zora's Domain had thawed! He ran forward with a huge smile on his face. Any Zora that saw him waved with a smile. One of the walking fish-people walked up to him. Link looked at him. "Master Link, Princess Ruto has requested to see you if you ever came." Link nodded. The butler-esque Zora led Link along the usual paths until brought to the Royal Chamber. Ruto was standing there, and she turned and faced Link with a huge smile on her face. She ran to him. "Link! I'm so glad you're back! I've missed you!" She hugged him tightly as the butler cleared his throat and turned to leave. "Ever since you beat Ganondorf, the curse on Zora's Domain has left. The water thawed!" Link chuckled and put his hands on her back. Her skin was soft and smooth, unlike the sliminess that most myths say. He gave her a slight pat on the back as she let go of him. Link looked at her with one eyebrow raised. Ruto grinned happily, suddenly coming closer to him and squeezing Link tightly in another hug. "I take it you really missed me?" Link said, feeling a bit strained from Ruto's tight embrace. She released him, and her face turned a light blue. "Well, that makes sense. She is technically a fish, right? She's cold-blooded." Link thought. Link realized that this was her version of blushing. Link poked her belly as Ruto giggled. "What's bothering you?" He asked. She looked away with a blue-tinted blush. "I...I can smell two other women on you."
Link froze. His mind was blank. He had no idea what to say! Ruto looked at him with tears in her eyes. Link grabbed his stuff and changed back into his green tunic. Ruto had pulled her fabric clothing back on. Link walked hand-in-hand with her back inside Zora's Domain. Ruto seemed increasingly sad as they neared the exit. Speaking before she could, Link said "Ruto, I promise I'll come back to you someday. I love you, and I will never forget you." Ruto blushed blue at the words. They embraced with their lips before Link could hear laughter down in the pools below them. Ruto looked back at them with an embarrassed grin. "They can smell us on each other. I'll never hear the end of it!" Link smiled and said "Ah, let them laugh. They're jealous they couldn't have fun with a non-Zora like me." Ruto giggled. Link was about to say good-bye when Ruto said "Please, Link. Don't ever tell my father anything about what happened today." Link nodded with a grin, and waved farewell.
As Link was walking across the bridge near the entrance to the Domain, Link thought "Hmmm....Who should I see next? Zelda wanted me to see her after a bit...Maybe I should visit her?"
