Aleksandra Zaryanova’s face was full of doubts as she approached her friend in the meeting room. “I just don’t know about this plan of yours, McCree. You want Overwatch to hire scavengers from the Wasteland to help us take down the omnic foundry?”
“I done tol’ you a thousand times Sasha, it’s Cole now. And with Null Sector rearin’ their ugly heads again, we need all the help we can git. And the Aussies have been dismantlin’ tin cans longer'n anyone,” he responded with a casual shrug.
“At least tell me you didn’t recruit the small, yappy one again,” she said shaking her head.
“You mean Junkrat and Roadhog? Hell no! I’m not lettin’ those two cretins back in here unless they’re in manacles,” he said with a broad grin on his aging face.
“Who then?” She asked more pointedly, a look of panic suddenly crossing her features.
As if on cue, the electronic door to the meeting room slid open with a metallic sigh, and in walked the Queen of Junkertown. Zarya and the Queen exchanged wide, shocked expressions with each other, although the Queen’s quickly transitioned to one of enthusiasm.
“Well Oi’ll be damned! Look who it is. I haven’t seen you since Volskoya, cupcake!” the woman's husky voice and harsh accent immediately caused Zarya's lower body to spasm.
Zarya wanted to say something but found that her voice was stuck in her throat. Suddenly all the feelings she had spent an entire year suppressing came rushing back.
McCree rubbed the back on his neck awkwardly, not sure why the women were staring so intently at once another. “I take it you two have met?”
“Oh yah, cowboy,” the Junker Queen said with a wide, predatory grin, “You could say we know each other quite intimately.”
